コロサイ人への手紙 3

三

1 キリスト様が死人の中から復活された時、あなたがたも、いわば共に生き返ったのですから、天にある無尽蔵の富と喜びに、目を向けなさい。　そこでは、キリスト様が栄誉と力とを帯びて、神様の右の座についておられます。　2 天国のことで心が満たされていなさい。　地上のことをあれこれ気に病んではいけません。　3 一度死んだわけですから、この世に何の未練もないはずです。　あなたがたの真のいのちは、キリスト様と共に天の神様のもとにあるのです。　4 真のいのちであるキリスト様が再び戻って来られる時、あなたがたも彼と共に輝き、そのすべての栄光にあずかるのです。
5 ですから、罪深い肉欲を捨てなさい。　心の中に巣くう、悪い欲望を抹殺しなさい。　性的な罪、汚れ、情欲、恥ずべき欲望などと縁を切りなさい。　この世の富や快楽を慕い求めてはいけません。　それは、神でないものを神とする、偶像礼拝だからです。　6 そんなことをする人に、神様の恐ろしい怒りは下るのです。　7 あなたがたも、この世的な人間として生きていた時には、そんなことをしていました。　8 けれども今は、怒り、憎しみ、ののしり、口ぎたない悪口などの、汚れた服をみな脱ぎ捨てる時なのです。
9 だまし合いはやめなさい。　うそは、あらゆる悪にまみれた古いいのちの特徴でした。　しかし今では、その古いいのちは死んだのです。　10 あなたがたは真新しいいのちに生きています。　ということは、正しいことへの探究心が旺盛で、この新しいいのちを与えてくださったキリスト様に、ますます似た者になりたいと、絶えず努めているのです。　11 この新しいいのちに生きる者には、国籍、人種、教育、社会的地位の違いなどは、全く問題ではありません。　そんなものには何の意味もないのです。　大切なのは、キリスト様を、しっかりつかんでいるかどうかです。　そして、キリスト様を自分のものにする機会は、だれにも平等に与えられているのです。
12 神様に選ばれて、この新しいいのちを与えられたあなたがたは、神様の深い愛と思いやりに包まれているのですから、他の人々に対して情け深く、やさしく親切でなければなりません。　謙そんな態度で、どんな時にも、おだやかに忍耐強く行動してほしいものです。　13 寛容の精神を身につけ、いつでも人を赦しなさい。　いつまでも恨んでいてはいけません。　主があなたがたを赦してくださったのですから、あなたがたも、人を赦すべきではありませんか。
14 何よりも大切なことは、愛にあふれて生きることです。　そうすれば、教会全体が、完全な調和を保てるのです。　15 キリスト様からくる平安が、いつもあなたがたの心と生活を満たすようにしなさい。　そうすることが、キリスト様の体の一部とされたあなたがたの責任であり、特権でもあるからです。　また、いつも感謝していなさい。
16 キリスト様の教えを心にとめ、そのことばによって、人生が豊かに潤されるようにしなさい。　知恵を尽くして、そのことばを互いに教え合い、忠告し合い、感謝にあふれて、詩篇と賛美歌と霊の歌を、主に向かって高らかに歌いなさい。　17 何をするにも、何を語るにも、主イエス様の代理人として行動し、主イエス様と共に、父なる神の前に出て、心から感謝しなさい。
18 妻は夫に従いなさい。　それは、主が人々のためにお定めになったことだからです。　19 夫は妻を愛し、いたわりなさい。　つらく当たったり、邪険な態度をとったりしてはいけません。
20 子供は常に両親に従いなさい。　それは、主に喜ばれることだからです。　21 父親は、子供がしょげ返って、やる気をなくすほど、がみがみしかってはなりません。
22 奴隷はいつも地上の主人に従いなさい。　主人が見ている時だけ、気に入られようと一生懸命に働くのではなく、陰日向なく仕えなさい。　主を愛しているのですから、主に喜んでいただけるよう、真心から主人に従いなさい。　23 地上の主人のためだけでなく、主ご自身のために尽くしているように、何事においても、喜んで精一杯働きなさい。　24 報酬を下さるのは主キリストであることを、忘れてはなりません。　キリスト様は、所有しておられるものの中から、有り余るほどの相続分を与えてくださいます。　あなたがたは、実は、この主キリストのために働いているのです。　25 主のために最善を尽くさない者は、その報いを受けます。　主はずるい横着者を、特別、大目に見たりはなさらないからです。

Colossians 3

1 If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth.3 For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.4 When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.5 Put to death therefore your members which are upon the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry;6 for which things’ sake cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience:7 wherein ye also once walked, when ye lived in these things;8 but now do ye also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, railing, shameful speaking out of your mouth:9 lie not one to another; seeing that ye have put off the old man with his doings,10 and have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of him that created him:11 where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all.12 Put on therefore, as God’s elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;13 forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye:14 and above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness.15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts unto God.17 And whatsoever ye do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.18 Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.20 Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.21 Fathers, provoke not your children, that they be not discouraged.22 Servants, obey in all things them that are your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord:23 whatsoever ye do, work heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men;24 knowing that from the Lord ye shall receive the recompense of the inheritance: ye serve the Lord Christ.25 For he that doeth wrong shall receive again for the wrong that he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
