골로새서 3

1 그러므로 여러분이 그리스도와 함께 살려 주심을 받았으면, 위에 있는 것들을 추구하십시오. 거기에는, 그리스도께서 하나님의 오른쪽에 앉아 계십니다. 2 여러분은 땅에 있는 것들을 생각하지 말고, 위에 있는 것들을 생각하십시오. 3 여러분은 이미 죽었고, 여러분의 생명은 그리스도와 함께 하나님 안에 감추어져 있습니다. 4 t여러분의 생명이신 그리스도께서 나타나실 때에, 여러분도 그분과 함께 영광에 싸여 나타날 것입니다. 5 그러므로 땅에 속한 지체의 일들, 곧 음행과 더러움과 정욕과 악한 욕망과 탐욕을 죽이십시오. 탐욕은 우상숭배입니다. 6 이런 것들 때문에, [순종하지 않는 자들에게] 하나님의 진노가 내립니다. 7 여러분도 전에 t그런 것에 빠져서 살 때에는, 그렇게 행동하였습니다. 8 그러나 이제 여러분은 그 모든 것, 곧 분노와 격분과 악의와 훼방과 여러분의 입에서 나오는 부끄러운 말을 버리십시오. 9 서로 거짓말을 하지 마십시오. 여러분은 옛 사람을 그 행실과 함께 벗어버리고, 10 새 사람을 입으십시오. 이 새 사람은 자기를 창조하신 분의 형상을 따라 끊임없이 새로워져서, 참 지식에 이르게 됩니다. 11 거기에는 그리스인과 유대인도, 할례 받은 자와 할례받지 않은 자도, 야만인도 스구디아인도, 종도 자유인도 없습니다. 오직 그리스도만이 모든 것이며, 모든 것 안에 계십니다. 12 그러므로 여러분은 하나님의 택하심을 입은 사랑 받는 거룩한 사람답게, 동정심과 친절함과 겸손함과 온유함과 오래 참음을 옷 입듯이 입으십시오. 13 누가 누구에게 불평할 일이 있더라도, 서로 용납하여 주고, 서로 용서하여 주십시오. t주님께서 여러분을 용서하신 것과 같이, 여러분도 서로 용서하십시오. 14 이 모든 것 위에 사랑을 더하십시오. 사랑은 완전하게 묶는 띠입니다. 15 그리스도의 평화가 여러분의 마음을 지배하게 하십시오. 이 평화를 누리도록 여러분은 부르심을 받아 한 몸이 되었습니다. 또 여러분은 감사하는 사람이 되십시오. 16 t그리스도의 말씀이 여러분 가운데 풍성히 살아 있게 하십시오. 온갖 지혜로 서로 가르치고 권고하십시오. 감사한 마음으로 시와 찬미와 신령한 노래로 여러분의 t하나님께 마음을 다하여 찬양하십시오. 17 그리고 말이든 행동이든 무엇을 하든지, 모든 것을 주 예수의 이름으로 하고, 그분에게서 힘을 얻어서, 하나님 아버지께 감사를 드리십시오.

가정 생활 지침

18 아내 된 이 여러분, 남편에게 순종하십시오. 이것이 주님 안에서 합당한 일입니다. 19 남편 된 이 여러분, 아내를 사랑하십시오. 아내를 모질게 대하지 마십시오. 20 자녀 된 이 여러분, 모든 일에 부모에게 복종하십시오. 이것이 주님을 기쁘게 해 드리는 일입니다. 21 어버이 된 이 여러분, 여러분의 자녀들을 격분하게 하지 마십시오. 그들의 의기를 꺾지 않아야 합니다. 22 종으로 있는 이 여러분, 모든 일에 육신의 t주인에게 복종하십시오. 사람을 기쁘게 하는 자들처럼 눈가림으로 하지 말고, t주님을 두려워하면서, 성실한 마음으로 하십시오. 23 무슨 일을 하든지 사람에게 하듯이 하지 말고, 주님께 하듯이 진심으로 하십시오. 24 여러분은 주님께 유산을 상으로 받는다는 사실을 기억하십시오. 여러분이 섬기는 분은 주 그리스도이십니다. 25 불의를 행하는 사람은, 자기가 행한 불의의 대가를 받을 것입니다. 거기에는 사람을 보고 차별을 하는 일이 없습니다.

COLOSSIANS 3

1  t You have been raised to life with Christ. Now set your heart on what is in heaven, where Christ rules at God's right side.t 2 Think about what is up there, not about what is here on earth. 3 You died, which means that your life is hidden with Christ, who sits beside God.

4 Christ gives meaning to yourt life, and when he appears, you will also appear with him in glory.
5 Don't be controlled by your body. Kill every desire for the wrong kind of sex. Don't be immoral or indecent or have evil thoughts. Don't be greedy, which is the same as worshiping idols. 6 God is angry with people who disobey him by doingt these things. 7 And this is exactly what you did, when you lived among people who behaved in this way. 8 But now you must stop doing such things. You must quit being angry, hateful, and evil. You must no longer say insulting or cruel things about others.

9 t And stop lying to each other. You have given up your old way of life with its habits.
10  t Each of you is now a new person. You are becoming more and more like your Creator, and you will understand him better.

11 It doesn't matter if you are a Greek or a Jew, or if you are circumcised or not. You may even be a barbarian or a Scythian, t and you may be a slave or a free person. Yet Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
12  t God loves you and has chosen you as his own special people. So be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient. 13 t Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you.

14 Love is more important than anything else. It is what ties everything completely together.
15 Each one of you is part of the body of Christ, and you were chosen to live together in peace. So let the peace that comes from Christ control your thoughts. And be grateful. 16 t Let the message about Christ completely fill your lives, while you use all your wisdom to teach and instruct each other. With thankful hearts, sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God.

17 Whatever you say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks to God the Father because of him.

Some Rules for Christian Living


18  t A wife must put her husband first. This is her duty as a follower of the Lord.

19  t A husband must love his wife and not abuse her.

20  t Children must always obey their parents. This pleases the Lord.

21  t Parents, don't be hard on your children. If you are, they might give up.
22  t Slaves, you must always obey your earthly masters. Try to please them at all times, and not just when you think they are watching. Honor the Lord and serve your masters with your whole heart. 23 Do your work willingly, as though you were serving the Lord himself, and not just your earthly master. 24 In fact, the Lord Christ is the one you are really serving, and you know he will reward you. 25 t But Christ has no favorites! He will punish evil people, just as they deserve.
