第4章
1 主人たる者よ、僕を正しく公平に扱いなさい。あなたがたにも主が天にいますことが、わかっているのだから。2 目をさまして、感謝のうちに祈り、ひたすら祈り続けなさい。3 同時にわたしたちのためにも、神が御言のために門を開いて下さって、わたしたちがキリストの奥義を語れるように（わたしは、実は、そのために獄につながれているのである）、4 また、わたしが語るべきことをはっきりと語れるように、祈ってほしい。5 今の時を生かして用い、そとの人に対して賢く行動しなさい。6 いつも、塩で味つけられた、やさしい言葉を使いなさい。そうすれば、ひとりびとりに対してどう答えるべきか、わかるであろう。7 わたしの様子については、主にあって共に僕であり、また忠実に仕えている愛する兄弟テキコが、あなたがたにいっさいのことを報告するであろう。8 わたしが彼をあなたがたのもとに送るのは、わたしたちの様子を知り、また彼によって心に励ましを受けるためなのである。9 あなたがたのひとり、忠実な愛する兄弟オネシモをも、彼と共に送る。彼らはあなたがたに、こちらのいっさいの事情を知らせるであろう。10 わたしと一緒に捕われの身となっているアリスタルコと、バルナバのいとこマルコとが、あなたがたによろしくと言っている。このマルコについては、もし彼があなたがたのもとに行くなら、迎えてやるようにとのさしずを、あなたがたはすでに受けているはずである。11 また、ユストと呼ばれているイエスからもよろしく。割礼の者の中で、この三人だけが神の国のために働く同労者であって、わたしの慰めとなった者である。12 あなたがたのうちのひとり、キリスト・イエスの僕エパフラスから、よろしく。彼はいつも、祈のうちであなたがたを覚え、あなたがたが全き人となり、神の御旨をことごとく確信して立つようにと、熱心に祈っている。13 わたしは、彼があなたがたのため、またラオデキヤとヒエラポリスの人々のために、ひじょうに心労していることを、証言する。14 愛する医者ルカとデマスとが、あなたがたによろしく。15 ラオデキヤの兄弟たちに、またヌンパとその家にある教会とに、よろしく。16 この手紙があなたがたの所で朗読されたら、ラオデキヤの教会でも朗読されるように、取り計らってほしい。またラオデキヤからまわって来る手紙を、あなたがたも朗読してほしい。17 アルキポに、「主にあって受けた務をよく果すように」と伝えてほしい。18 パウロ自身が、手ずからこのあいさつを書く。わたしが獄につながれていることを、覚えていてほしい。恵みが、あなたがたと共にあるように。
Colossians 4
1 Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.7 All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:8 whom I have sent you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts;9 together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that are done here.10 Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),11 and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only are my fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.13 For I bear him witness, that he hath much labor for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis.14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.15 Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.16 And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.18 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.
