1 นายทั้งหลายจงทำต่อทาสของตนอย่างยุติธรรมและเท่าเทียมกัน เพราะท่านทั้งหลายก็รู้ว่าท่านมีเจ้านายองค์หนึ่งในสวรรค์ด้วยt
การตักเตือน
2 จงอุทิศตัวในการอธิษฐาน จงเฝ้าระวังในเรื่องนี้ด้วยการขอบพระคุณ 3 และอธิษฐานเผื่อเราด้วย เพื่อว่าพระเจ้าจะทรงเปิดประตูให้เราสำหรับพระวจนะนั้น คือให้กล่าวความล้ำลึกของพระคริสต์ (ข้าพเจ้าถูกล่ามโซ่ก็เพราะเหตุนี้) 4 เพื่อว่าข้าพเจ้าจะได้ชี้แจงเรื่องนี้ตามที่ข้าพเจ้าควรจะกล่าวนั้น
5 จงปฏิบัติต่อคนภายนอกด้วยสติปัญญา โดยใช้โอกาสให้เป็นประโยชน์t 6 จงให้ถ้อยคำของท่านทั้งหลายประกอบด้วยเมตตาคุณเสมอ ปรุงด้วยเกลือให้มีรส เพื่อท่านจะได้รู้ว่าควรจะตอบแต่ละคนอย่างไร
คำทักทายสุดท้าย
7 ทีคิกัสt ผู้เป็นพี่น้องที่รัก เป็นผู้ปรนนิบัติที่ซื่อสัตย์ และเป็นเพื่อนร่วมงานในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า จะบอกให้พวกท่านทราบถึงเรื่องทั้งหมดของข้าพเจ้า 8 ข้าพเจ้าส่งเขาไปหาท่านก็เพราะเหตุนี้ คือเพื่อให้พวกท่านทราบความเป็นอยู่ของเรา และเพื่อให้เขาหนุนใจพวกท่านt 9 โอเนสิมัสt ผู้เป็นพี่น้องที่รักและซื่อสัตย์ซึ่งเป็นคนหนึ่งในพวกท่านก็จะไปด้วย เขาทั้งสองจะเล่าให้ท่านทราบถึงเรื่องทั้งหมดของที่นี่
10 อาริสทารคัสt ผู้ที่ถูกขังร่วมกับข้าพเจ้า ฝากคำทักทายมายังพวกท่าน มาระโกtซึ่งเป็นลูกพี่ลูกน้องของบารนาบัสก็ฝากคำทักทายเช่นกัน (ท่านทั้งหลายได้รับคำสั่งเกี่ยวกับเขาแล้ว ถ้าเขามาหาท่าน จงต้อนรับเขาไว้) 11 เยซูผู้มีอีกชื่อหนึ่งว่ายุสทัสก็ฝากคำทักทายมาด้วย ในบรรดาผู้ร่วมงานของข้าพเจ้าเพื่อแผ่นดินของพระเจ้า คนพวกนี้เท่านั้นที่เข้าสุหนัต และพวกเขาเป็นผู้ชูใจข้าพเจ้า 12 เอปาฟรัสtซึ่งเป็นคนหนึ่งในท่านและเป็นผู้รับใช้ของพระเยซูคริสต์ ก็ฝากคำทักทายมายังพวกท่านเช่นกัน เขาเพียรพยายามtอธิษฐานเผื่อท่านอยู่เสมอ เพื่อว่าพวกท่านจะมั่นคง เป็นผู้ใหญ่และมีความมั่นใจtในพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้าทั้งหมด 13 ข้าพเจ้าเป็นพยานได้ว่าเขาทำงานหนักมากเพื่อท่านทั้งหลาย เพื่อบรรดาคนที่อยู่ในเมืองเลาดีเซียและเมืองฮีเอราบุรี 14 ลูกาtแพทย์ที่รัก กับเดมาสtก็ฝากคำทักทายมายังพวกท่าน 15 ขอให้ท่านช่วยฝากคำทักทายไปยังพี่น้องที่อยู่ในเมืองเลาดีเซีย ไปยังนางนุมฟา และคริสตจักรที่อยู่ในบ้านของนางด้วย 16 และเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายอ่านจดหมายฉบับนี้แล้ว ก็จงส่งให้คริสตจักรที่อยู่ในเมืองเลาดีเซียได้อ่านด้วย และจดหมายที่มาจากเมืองเลาดีเซียฉบับนั้น ก็จงอ่านด้วย 17 และจงบอกอารคิปปัสtว่า “งานปรนนิบัติที่เขารับไว้ในองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้านั้น จงตั้งใจทำให้สำเร็จ”
18 คำทักทายนี้เป็นลายมือของข้าพเจ้าเปาโล ขอให้ท่านระลึกถึงโซ่ตรวนของข้าพเจ้า ขอให้พระคุณดำรงอยู่กับท่านทั้งหลาย
Colossians 4
1 Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.7 All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:8 whom I have sent you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts;9 together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that are done here.10 Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),11 and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only are my fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.13 For I bear him witness, that he hath much labor for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis.14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.15 Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.16 And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.18 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.
