1 Stăpânilor, dați robilor voștri ce le datorați și ce li se cuvine, căci știți că și voi aveți un Stăpân în cer.2 Stăruiți în rugăciune, vegheați în ea cu mulțumiri.3 Rugați-vă totodată și pentru noi, ca Dumnezeu să ne deschidă o ușă pentru Cuvânt, ca să putem vesti taina lui Hristos, pentru care, iată, mă găsesc în lanțuri:4 ca s-o fac cunoscut așa cum trebuie să vorbesc despre ea.5 Purtați-vă cu înțelepciune față de cei de afară; răscumpărați vremea.6 Vorbirea voastră să fie totdeauna cu har, dreasă cu sare, ca să știți cum trebuie să răspundeți fiecăruia.7 Tot ce este cu privire la mine vă va spune Tihic, fratele preaiubit și slujitorul credincios, tovarășul meu de slujbă în Domnul.8 Vi l-am trimis înadins, ca să luați cunoștință despre starea noastră și să vă mângâie inimile.9 L-am trimis împreună cu Onisim, fratele credincios și preaiubit, care este dintre ai voștri. Ei vă vor spune tot ce se petrece pe aici.10 Aristarh, tovarășul meu de temniță, vă trimite sănătate; tot așa și Marcu, vărul lui Barnaba (cu privire la care ați primit porunci… dacă vine la voi, să-l primiți bine),11 și Isus, zis Iust: ei sunt din numărul celor tăiați împrejur și singurii care au lucrat împreună cu mine pentru Împărăția lui Dumnezeu, oameni care mi-au fost de mângâiere.12 Epafra, care este dintre ai voștri, vă trimite sănătate. El, rob al lui Hristos, totdeauna se luptă pentru voi în rugăciunile sale, pentru ca, desăvârșiți și deplin încredințați, să stăruiți în voia lui Dumnezeu.13 Căci vă mărturisesc că are o mare râvnă pentru voi, pentru cei din Laodiceea și pentru cei din Ierapole.14 Luca, doctorul preaiubit, și Dima vă trimit sănătate.15 Spuneți sănătate fraților din Laodiceea și lui Nimfa, și bisericii din casa lui.16 După ce va fi citită această epistolă la voi, faceți așa ca să fie citită și în Biserica laodicenilor; și voi, la rândul vostru, să citiți epistola care vă va veni din Laodiceea.17 Și spuneți lui Arhip: „Ia seama să împlinești bine slujba pe care ai primit-o în Domnul.”18 Urarea de sănătate este cu mâna mea: Pavel. Aduceți-vă aminte de lanțurile mele. Harul să fie cu voi! Amin.
Colossians 4
1 Masters, render unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.2 Continue stedfastly in prayer, watching therein with thanksgiving;3 withal praying for us also, that God may open unto us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds;4 that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.7 All my affairs shall Tychicus make known unto you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow-servant in the Lord:8 whom I have sent you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts;9 together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things that are done here.10 Aristarchus my fellow-prisoner saluteth you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (touching whom ye received commandments; if he come unto you, receive him),11 and Jesus that is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only are my fellow-workers unto the kingdom of God, men that have been a comfort unto me.12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.13 For I bear him witness, that he hath much labor for you, and for them in Laodicea, and for them in Hierapolis.14 Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas salute you.15 Salute the brethren that are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church that is in their house.16 And when this epistle hath been read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye also read the epistle from Laodicea.17 And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.18 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand. Remember my bonds. Grace be with you.
