Colossenses 4

1 Senhores, dêem aquilo que é justo e honesto aos seus servos. Lembrem-se de que vocês também têm um Senhor no céu.

Instruções de Paulo aos cristãos

2 Dediquem-se à oração. Estejam sempre alerta ao orarem, com ações de graça.3 Ao mesmo tempo, orem também por nós. Orem para que Deus nos dê a oportunidade de anunciar a sua mensagemt, a fim de falarmos da verdade a respeito de Cristo que estava escondida. É por causa de anunciar esta mensagem que estou preso.

4 Orem para que eu possa anunciá-la claramente, como devo fazer.
5 Sejam sábios na maneira de agir com aqueles que não pertencem à igreja, e aproveitem as oportunidades.

6 Que as suas palavras sejam sempre agradáveis e de bom gosto, pois assim vocês saberão dar a cada um a resposta certa.

Saudações finais

7 Nosso querido irmão Tíquico, que é trabalhador fiel e companheiro no serviço do Senhor, lhes dará todas as notícias a meu respeito.8 Eu o estou enviando com o propósito de dar a vocês notícias a nosso respeito e também para encorajá-los.

9 Estou enviando junto com ele Onésimo, que é um irmão fiel e querido e que pertence ao grupo de vocês. Eles lhes contarão tudo o que está acontecendo por aqui.
10 Aristarco, que está preso comigo, manda lembranças. Marcos, o primo de Barnabé, também manda lembranças. (Vocês já receberam instruções a respeito de Marcos; se ele os visitar, recebam-no bem).

11 Jesus, conhecido como Justo, também manda lembranças. Entre todos os judeus que seguem a Cristo, eles são os únicos que trabalham pessoalmente comigo para o engrandecimento do reino de Deus. Eles têm-me confortado muito.
12 Epafras, outro que pertence ao grupo de vocês, e que é um servo de Cristo Jesus, também manda lembranças. Ele está sempre orando com muita dedicação por todos vocês, para que sejam espiritualmente adultos e estejam completamente convictos, comprometidos em fazer toda a vontade de Deus.13 E eu sou testemunha de que ele tem trabalhado muito por vocês, pelos de Laodicéia e pelos de Hierápolis.

14 Lucas, o médico querido, e Demas também mandam lembranças.
15 Dêem lembranças aos irmãos que vivem em Laodicéia, a Ninfa e a todos os irmãos da igreja que se reúnem na casa dela.16 E, depois que esta carta for lida para vocês, façam com que ela também seja lida para a igreja em Laodicéia. E que a carta enviada aos de Laodicéia seja lida para vocês.

17 Também digam a Arquipo: "Procure cumprir bem o trabalho que o Senhor lhe deu para fazer".

18 Eu, Paulo, também lhes mando lembranças e escrevo isto com minha própria mão. Lembrem-se de que estou preso.
Que a graçat de Deus esteja com vocês.

Colossians 4

Fellow Workers

1 Masters, grant to your slaves justice and fairness, knowing that you too have a Master in heaven.

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned;4 that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak.

5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.6 Let your speech always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

7 As to all my affairs, Tychicus, our beloved brother and faithful servant and fellow bond-servant in the Lord, will bring you information.8  For I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know about our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts;9 and with him Onesimus, our faithful and beloved brother, who is one of your number. They will inform you about the whole situation here.

10 Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you his greetings; and also Barnabas's cousin Mark (about whom you received instructions; if he comes to you, welcome him);11 and also Jesus who is called Justus; these are the only fellow workers for the kingdom of God who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be an encouragement to me.12 Epaphras, who is one of your number, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, sends you his greetings, always laboring earnestly for you in his prayers, that you may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.13 For I testify for him that he has a deep concern for you and for those who are in Laodicea and Hierapolis.14 Luke, the beloved physician, sends you his greetings, and also Demas.15 Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea and also tNympha and the church that is in her house.16 When this letter is read among you, have it also read in the church of the Laodiceans; and you, for your part read my letter that is coming from Laodicea.17 Say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfill it."

18 I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my imprisonment. Grace be with you.
