Kolossense 4

1 Julle wat eienaars van slawe is, julle moet reg doen aan julle slawe, soos die Here wil hê. Julle moet onthou dat julle ook ’n Eienaar in die hemel het.

Gelowiges moet bid en reg lewe

4 Julle moet vir my bid dat ek oor daardie boodskap sal preek en dat ek dit sal verduidelik soos ek moet.
5 Wanneer julle by mense is wat nie in Christus glo nie, dan moet julle reg lewe. Ja, julle moet julle tyd reg gebruik.

6 Wanneer julle met mense praat, dan moet julle altyd vriendelik wees. Dit moet vir die mense lekker wees om na julle te luister. Ja, julle moet altyd die regte dinge vir elke mens sê.

Baie mense stuur groete vir die Kolossense

9 Ek stuur ook vir Onesimus saam met Tigikus. Onesimus is ’n goeie vriend, en hy doen sy werk goed. Hy is een van julle. Onesimus en Tigikus sal vir julle alles vertel wat hier gebeur het.
10 Aristargus is saam met my in die tronk en hy stuur groete vir julle. tMarkus, die neef van Barnabas, stuur ook groete vir julle. Julle weet wat julle moet doen wanneer Markus daar by julle kom, julle moet vir hom sê hy is welkom.

11 Jesus, sy ander naam is Justus, stuur ook groete vir julle. Hy en Aristargus en Markus is die enigste Jode wat my gehelp het om vir die mense te vertel dat God Koning is. Hulle het my baie gehelp.
12 Epafras stuur ook groete vir julle. Hy het voorheen daar by julle gewoon, maar hy is nou hier by my. Hy werk ook vir Christus. Epafras bid altyd ernstig vir julle en hy vra dat God julle moet help dat julle heeltemal sal wees soos Hy wil hê en dat julle alles presies sal doen soos Hy wil hê. 13 Ek sê vir julle hy het baie hard gewerk vir julle en ook vir almal wat in Christus glo en wat woon in die stede Laodisea en Hiërapolis. 14 Lukas, die dokter, stuur ook groete. Ons is lief vir hom. Demas stuur ook groete. 15 Ek, Paulus, stuur groete vir almal in Laodisea wat in Christus glo, en ook vir Nimfas en die gemeente wat in haar huis kerk hou.

16 Wanneer julle hierdie brief van my klaar gelees het, dan moet julle dit ook vir die gemeente in Laodisea stuur sodat hulle dit ook kan lees. Ek het ook vir hulle ’n brief gestuur. Julle moet dit ook lees.

17 Julle moet vir Argippus sê hy moet onthou dat die Here vir hom ’n werk gegee het om te doen. Hy moet aanhou om dit te doen.
18 Hier skryf ek, Paulus, nou self: Groete vir julle! Julle moet onthou dat ek in die tronk is en julle moet dink aan my. Ek bid dat God tgenadig sal wees vir julle.

Colossians 4

1 Masters, give your slaves what is right and fair. Do it because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

He prays that you will continue to grow in your knowledge of what God wants you to do. He also prays that you will be completely sure about it.13 I am happy to tell you that he is working very hard for you. He is also working hard for everyone in Laodicea and Hierapolis.
14 Our dear friend Luke, the doctor, sends greetings. So does Demas.
15 Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters in Laodicea. Also give my greetings to Nympha and the church that meets in her house.
