5. Mose 10
1 Zu derselben Zeit sprach der HERR zu mir: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln wie die ersten und komm zu mir auf den Berg und mache dir eine hölzerne Lade, 2 so will ich auf die Tafeln schreiben die Worte, die auf den ersten waren, die du zerbrochen hast; und du sollst sie in die Lade legen. 3 Also machte ich die Lade von Akazienholz und hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln, wie die ersten waren, und ging auf den Berg und hatte die zwei Tafeln in meinen Händen. 4 Da schrieb er auf die Tafeln, wie die erste Schrift war, die zehn Worte, die der HERR zu euch redete aus dem Feuer auf dem Berge zur Zeit der Versammlung; und der HERR gab sie mir. 5 Und ich wandte mich und ging vom Berge und legte die Tafeln in die Lade, die ich gemacht hatte, daß sie daselbst wären, wie mir der HERR geboten hatte.
6 Und die Kinder Israel zogen aus von Beeroth-Bne-Jaakan gen Moser. Daselbst starb Aaron, und ist daselbst begraben; und sein Sohn Eleasar ward für ihn Priester. 7 Von da zogen sie aus gen Gudegoda, von Gugegoda gen Jotbatha, ein Land, da Bäche sind.
8 Zur selben Zeit sonderte der HERR den Stamm Levi aus, die Lade des Bundes des HERRN zu tragen und zu stehen vor dem HERRN, ihm zu dienen und in seinem Namen zu segnen bis auf diesen Tag. 9 Darum sollten die Leviten kein Teil noch Erbe haben mit ihren Brüdern; denn der HERR ist ihr Erbe, wie der HERR, dein Gott, ihnen geredet hat. 10 Ich aber stand auf dem Berge, wie das erstemal, vierzig Tage und vierzig Nächte; und der HERR erhörte mich auch diesmal und wollte dich nicht verderben. 11 Er sprach aber zu mir: Mache dich auf und gehe hin, daß du vor dem Volk her ziehst, daß sie hineinkommen und das Land einnehmen, das ich ihren Vätern geschworen habe ihnen zu geben.
12 Nun, Israel, was fordert der HERR, dein Gott, von dir, denn daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, fürchtest, daß du in allen seinen Wegen wandelst und liebst ihn und dienest dem HERRN, deinem Gott, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele, 13 daß du die Gebote des HERRN haltest und seine Rechte, die ich dir heute gebiete, auf daß dir's wohl gehe? 14 Siehe, der Himmel und aller Himmel Himmel und die Erde und alles, was darinnen ist, das ist des HERRN, deines Gottes. 15 dennoch hat er allein zu deinen Vätern Lust gehabt, daß er sie liebte, und hat ihren Samen erwählt nach ihnen, euch, aus allen Völkern, wie es heutigestages steht. 16 So beschneidet nun eure Herzen und seid fürder nicht halsstarrig. 17 Denn der HERR, euer Gott, ist ein Gott aller Götter und HERR über alle Herren, ein großer Gott, mächtig und schrecklich, der keine Person achtet und kein Geschenk nimmt 18 und schafft Recht den Waisen und Witwen und hat die Fremdlinge lieb, daß er ihnen Speise und Kleider gebe. 19 Darum sollt ihr auch die Fremdlinge lieben; denn ihr seid auch Fremdlinge gewesen in Ägyptenland. 20 Den HERRN, deinen Gott, sollst du fürchten, ihm sollst du dienen, ihm sollst du anhangen und bei seinem Namen schwören. 21 Er ist dein Ruhm und dein Gott, der bei dir solche große und schreckliche Dinge getan hat, die deine Augen gesehen haben. 22 Deine Väter zogen hinab nach Ägypten mit siebzig Seelen; aber nun hat dich der HERR, dein Gott, gemehrt wie die Sterne am Himmel.
Deuteronomy 10
The Opportunity to Begin Again
1 At that same time the Lord said to me, “Carve out for yourself two stone tablets like the first ones and come up the mountain to me; also make for yourself a wooden ark.t2 I will write on the tablets the same wordss that were on the first tablets you broke, and you must put them into the ark.”3 So I made an ark of acacias wood and carved out two stone tablets just like the first ones. Then I went up the mountain with the two tablets in my hands.4 The Lordt then wrote on the tablets the same words,t the ten commandments,t which het had spoken to you at the mountain from the middle of the fire at the time of that assembly, and het gave them to me.
5 Then I turned, went down the mountain, and placed the tablets into the ark I had made – they are still there, just as the Lord commanded me.

6 “During those days the Israelites traveled from Beeroth Bene-Yaaqans to Moserah.s There Aaron died and was buried, and his son Eleazar became priest in his place.7 From there they traveled to Gudgodah,s and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah,s a place of flowing streams.8 At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levis to carry the ark of the Lord’s covenant, to stand before the Lord to serve him, and to formulate blessingss in his name, as they do to this very day.9 Therefore Levi has no allotment or inheritances among his brothers;t the Lord is his inheritance just as the Lord your God told him.10 As for me, I stayed at the mountain as I did the first time, forty days and nights. The Lord listened to me that time as well and decided not to destroy you.
11 Then het said to me, “Get up, set out leadingt the people so they may go and possesst the land I promised to give to their ancestors.”t
An Exhortation to Love Both God and People
12 Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you except to revere him,t to obey all his commandments,t to love him, to serve himt with all your mind and being,t13 and to keep the Lord’s commandments and statutes that I am givingt you today for your own good?14 The heavens – indeed the highest heavens – belong to the Lord your God, as does the earth and everything in it.15 However, only to your ancestors did het show his loving favor,t and he chose you, their descendants,t from all peoples – as is apparent today.16 Therefore, cleanset your heart and stop being so stubborn!t17 For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, mighty, and awesome God who is unbiased and takes no bribe,18 who justly treatst the orphan and widow, and who loves resident foreigners, giving them food and clothing.19 So you must love the resident foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.20 Revere the Lord your God, serve him, be loyal to him and take oaths only in his name.21 He is the one you should praise;t he is your God, the one who has done these great and awesome things for you that you have seen.
22 When your ancestors went down to Egypt, they numbered only seventy, but now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of the sky.t
