5. Mose 30
1 Wenn nun über dich kommt dies alles, es sei der Segen oder der Fluch, die ich dir vorgelegt habe, und du in dein Herz gehst, wo du unter den Heiden bist, dahin dich der HERR, dein Gott, verstoßen hat, 2 und bekehrst dich zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott, daß du seiner Stimme gehorchest, du und deine Kinder, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele, in allem, was ich dir heute gebiete, 3 so wird der HERR, dein Gott, dein Gefängnis wenden und sich deiner erbarmen und wird dich wieder versammeln aus allen Völkern, dahin dich der HERR, dein Gott, verstreut hat. 4 Wenn du bis an der Himmel Ende verstoßen wärest, so wird dich doch der HERR, dein Gott, von dort sammeln und dich von dort holen 5 und wird dich in das Land bringen, das deine Väter besessen haben, und wirst es einnehmen, und er wird dir Gutes tun und dich mehren über deine Väter. 6 Und der HERR, dein Gott, wird dein Herz beschneiden und das Herz deiner Nachkommen, daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, liebst von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele, auf daß du leben mögest. 7 Aber diese Flüche wird der HERR, dein Gott, alle auf deine Feinde legen und auf die, so dich hassen und verfolgen; 8 du aber wirst dich bekehren und der Stimme des HERRN gehorchen, daß du tust alle seine Gebote, die ich dir heute gebiete. 9 Und der HERR, dein Gott, wird dir Glück geben in allen Werken deiner Hände, an der Frucht deines Leibes, an der Frucht deines Viehs, an der Frucht deines Landes, daß dir's zugut komme. Denn der HERR wird sich wenden, daß er sich über dich freue, dir zugut, wie er sich über deine Väter gefreut hat, 10 darum daß du der Stimme des HERRN, deines Gottes, gehorchest, zu halten seine Gebote und Rechte, die geschrieben stehen im Buch dieses Gesetzes, so du dich wirst bekehren zu dem HERRN, deinem Gott, von ganzem Herzen und von ganzer Seele.
11 Denn das Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete, ist dir nicht verborgen noch zu ferne 12 noch im Himmel, daß du möchtest sagen: Wer will uns in den Himmel fahren und es uns holen, daß wir's hören und tun? 13 Es ist auch nicht jenseit des Meers, daß du möchtest sagen: Wer will uns über das Meer fahren und es uns holen, daß wir's hören und tun? 14 Denn es ist das Wort gar nahe bei dir, in deinem Munde und in deinem Herzen, daß du es tust.
15 Siehe ich habe dir heute vorgelegt das Leben und das Gute, den Tod und das Böse, 16 der ich dir heute gebiete, daß du den HERRN, deinen Gott, liebst und wandelst in seinen Wegen und seine Gebote, Gesetze und Rechte haltest und leben mögest und gemehrt werdest und dich der HERR, dein Gott, segne in dem Lande, in das du einziehst, es einzunehmen. 17 Wendest du aber dein Herz und gehorchst nicht, sondern läßt dich verführen, daß du andere Götter anbetest und ihnen dienest, 18 so verkündige ich euch heute, daß ihr umkommen und nicht lange in dem Lande bleiben werdet, dahin du einziehst über den Jordan, es einzunehmen. 19 Ich nehme Himmel und Erde heute über euch zu Zeugen: ich habe euch Leben und Tod, Segen und Fluch vorgelegt, daß du das Leben erwählest und du und dein Same leben mögt, 20 daß ihr den HERRN, euren Gott, liebet und seiner Stimme gehorchet und ihm anhanget. Denn das ist dein Leben und dein langes Alter, daß du in dem Lande wohnst, das der HERR deinen Vätern Abraham, Isaak und Jakob geschworen hat ihnen zu geben.
Deuteronomy 30
The Results of Covenant Reaffirmation
1 “When you have experienced all these things, both the blessings and the cursest I have set before you, you will reflect upon themt in all the nations where the Lord your God has banished you.2 Then if you and your descendantst turn to the Lord your God and obey him with your whole mind and beingt just ast I am commanding you today,3 the Lord your God will reverse your captivity and have pity on you. He will turn and gather you from all the peoples among whom het has scattered you.4 Even if your exiles are in the most distant land,t from there the Lord your God will gather you and bring you back.5 Then het will bring you to the land your ancestorst possessed and you also will possess it; he will do better for you and multiply you more than he did your ancestors.6 The Lord your God will also cleanset your heart and the hearts of your descendantst so that you may love himt with all your mind and being and so that you may live.7 Then the Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies, on those who hate you and persecute you.8 You will return and obey the Lord, keeping all his commandments I am givingt you today.9 The Lord your God will make the labor of your handss abundantly successful and multiply your children,t the offspring of your cattle, and the produce of your soil. For the Lord your God will once moret rejoice over you to make you prosperoust just as he rejoiced over your ancestors,
10 if you obey the Lord your God and keep his commandments and statutes that are written in this scroll of the law. But you must turn to himt with your whole mind and being.
Exhortation to Covenant Obedience
11 “This commandment I am givingt you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it too remote.12 It is not in heaven, as though one must say, “Who will go up to heaven to get it for us and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”13 And it is not across the sea, as though one must say, “Who will cross over to the other side of the sea and get it for us and proclaim it to us so we may obey it?”
14 For the thing is very near you – it is in your mouth and in your mindt so that you can do it.
15 “Look! I have set before you today life and prosperity on the one hand, and death and disaster on the other.16 Whats I am commanding you today is to love the Lord your God, to walk in his ways, and to obey his commandments, his statutes, and his ordinances. Then you will live and become numerous and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are about to possess.t17 However, if yout turn aside and do not obey, but are lured away to worship and serve other gods,18 I declare to you this very day that you will certainlyt perish! You will not extend your time in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.t19 Today I invoke heaven and earth as a witness against you that I have set life and death, blessing and curse, before you. Therefore choose life so that you and your descendants may live!
20 I also call on yout to love the Lord your God, to obey him and be loyal to him, for he gives you life and enables you to live continuallyt in the land the Lord promised to give to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
