EFESIOS 1
Saludo (1.1-2)
1 Pablo, apóstolt de Jesucristo por la voluntad de Dios, a los que en la ciudad de Éfesot forman parte del pueblo santot y por la fe están unidos a Cristo Jesús.
2 Que Dios nuestro Padre y el Señor Jesucristo derramen su gracia y su paz sobre vosotros.1. Dios, autor de la salvación (1.3–3.21)
Alabanza a Dios por su acción salvadora
3 Alabemos al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, pues en nuestra unión con Cristo nos ha bendecidot en los cielost con toda clase de bendiciones espirituales. 4 Dios nos escogió en Cristo desde antes de la creación del mundo, para estar en su presencia santos y sin falta.t Por su amor 5 nos destinó a ser adoptadost como hijos suyost por medio de Jesucristo,t t conforme a lo que se había propuesto en su voluntad. 6 Por esta causa alabamos siempre a Dios por su gloriosa bondad,t con la cual nos bendijo mediante su amado Hijo.t 7 En su gran amor, Dios nos ha liberado por la sangre que su Hijo derramó,t y ha perdonado nuestros pecados.t 8 Dios nos ha mostrado su amor dándonos toda sabiduría y entendimiento,t 9 y nos ha hecho conocer su designio secreto,t o sea el plan que él mismo se había propuesto llevar a cabo.
10 Según este plan, que se cumplirá fielmente a su debido tiempo,t Dios va a unir bajo el gobierno de Cristo todas las cosas, tanto en el cielo como en la tierra.t
11 Dios nos había escogido de antemano para que por nuestra unión con Cristo recibiéramos nuestra parte en la herencia,t de acuerdo con el propósito de Dios, que todo lo hace según su buen parecer. 12 Y lo ha hecho así a fin de que nosotros,t que fuimos los primeros en poner nuestra esperanza en Cristo,t vivamos para que Dios sea alabado por su grandeza. 13 Y también vosotros, cuando oísteis el mensaje de la verdad, la buena noticia de vuestra salvación, y creísteis en Cristo, fuisteis unidos a él y sellados como propiedad de Dios por medio del Espíritu Santo que él había prometido.t
14 El Espíritu Santo es la garantíat de que recibiremos la herencia que Dios nos ha de dart cuando haya completado nuestra redención, para que él sea alabado por su grandeza.Oración por los creyentes
15 Por esto, como sé que tenéis fe en el Señor Jesús y amor para con todos los que pertenecen al pueblo santo,t 16 no dejo de dar gracias por vosotros, recordándoos en mis oraciones.t 17 Pido al Dios de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, al Padre glorioso, que os dé sabiduría espiritual para entender su revelación y conocerle mejor.t 18 Pido a Dios que ilumine vuestra mente para que sepáis cuál es la esperanza a la que habéis sido llamados, cuán gloriosa y rica es la herencia que Dios da a los que pertenecen a su pueblot 19 y cuán grande y sin límites es su poder, el cual actúa en nosotros los creyentes. Este poder es el mismo que Dios mostró con tanta fuerza y potencia 20 cuando resucitó a Cristot y lo hizo sentar a su derecha en el cielo,t 21 poniéndolo por encima de todo poder, autoridad, dominio y señorío, y por encima de todo lo que existe tanto en este mundo como en el venidero.t 22 Sometió todas las cosas bajo los pies de Cristo, y a Cristo mismo lo dio a la iglesia como cabeza de todo. 23 Pues la iglesia es el cuerpo de Cristo,t la plenitudt de Cristo, que es quien lleva todas las cosas a su plenitud.t

Salutation
1 From Paul,t an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the saints [in Ephesus],ss the faithfult in Christ Jesus.
2 Grace and peace to yout from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Blesseds ist the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessedt us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ.4 Fort he chose us in Christt before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemisheds in his sightt in love.t5 He did this by predestiningts us to adoption as hist sonsts through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasuret of his will –6 to the praise of the glory of his gracet that he has freely bestowed on us in his dearly loved Son.tss7 In himt we have redemption through his blood,s the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace8 that he lavished on us in all wisdom and insight.9 He did this when he revealedt to us the secrett of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set fortht in Christ,ts10 toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head upt all things in Christ – the things in heavent and the things on earth.s11 In Christt we too have been claimed as God’s own possession,ts since we were predestined according to the one purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will12 so that we, who were the first to set our hopet on Christ,t would be to the praise of his glory.13 And whent you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed in Christt – you were marked with the sealt of the promised Holy Spirit,t
14 who is the down paymentts of our inheritance, until the redemption of God’s own possession,t to the praise of his glory.
Prayer for Wisdom and Revelation
15 For this reason,s because It have heardt of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your loves for all the saints,16 I do not cease to give thanks for you when I remember yout in my prayers.17 I pray thatt the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,t may give you spiritual wisdom and revelationt in your growing knowledge of him,tsss18 – since the eyes of yourst heart have been enlightenedt – so that you may know what is the hope of his calling,tssss what is the wealth of his glorioust inheritance in the saints,19 and what is the incomparablet greatness of his power towardt us who believe, as displayed int the exercise of his immense strength.ts20 This powert he exercisedt in Christ when he raised himt from the dead and seated hims at his right hand in the heavenly realmss21 far above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.22 And Godtputtall things under Christ’stfeet,s and he gave him to the church as head over all things.t
23 Now the church ist his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.ts
