Efesierbrevet 1
Hälsning
1 Från Paulus, genom Guds vilja Kristi Jesu apostel, till de heliga som bor i Efesos och som lever i tron på Kristus Jesus.
2 Nåd och frid från Gud, vår fader, och herren Jesus Kristus.Inledande lovprisning
3 Välsignad är vår herre Jesu Kristi Gud och fader. Han har välsignat oss med all den andliga välsignelse som genom Kristus finns i himlen, 4 liksom han före världens skapelse har utvalt oss i honom till att stå heliga och fläckfria inför sig i kärlek. 5 Han har förutbestämt oss till att få söners rätt genom Jesus Kristus och förenas med honom — det var hans viljas beslut — 6 till pris och ära för den nåd som han har skänkt oss med sin älskade son. 7 I honom och genom hans blod har vi friköpts och fått förlåtelse för våra överträdelser — så rik är den nåd 8 med vilken Gud har låtit all vishet och klokhet flöda över oss. 9 Och han har yppat sin viljas hemlighet för oss, det beslut om Kristus som han hade fattat från början 10 och som skulle genomföras när tiden var inne: att sammanfatta allting i Kristus, allt i himlen och på jorden. 11 I honom har vi fått vår arvslott, förutbestämda därtill av honom som låter allt ske efter sin vilja och sitt beslut: 12 vi skall vara Gud till pris och ära, vi som redan på förhand hade satt vårt hopp till Kristus. 13 I honom har också ni, sedan ni hört det sanna ordet, evangeliet om er frälsning — i honom har också ni, sedan ni kommit till tro, fått den utlovade heliga anden som ett sigill.
14 Den är en borgen för vårt arv, att Guds folk skall bli friköpt och Gud få pris och ära.Tack till Gud och förbön
15-16 Jag upphör därför aldrig att tacka Gud för er när jag nämner er i mina böner, sedan jag nu har hört om er tro på herren Jesus och er kärlek till alla de heliga. 17 Jag ber att vår herre Jesu Kristi Gud, härlighetens fader, skall ge er en vishetens och uppenbarelsens ande som låter er få kunskap om honom. 18 Må han ge ert inre öga ljus, så att ni kan se vilket hopp han har kallat oss till, vilket rikt och härligt arv han ger oss bland de heliga, 19 hur väldig hans styrka är för oss som tror — samma oerhörda kraft som han med sin makt 20 lät verka i Kristus när han uppväckte honom från de döda och satte honom på sin högra sida i himlen, 21 högt över alla härskare och makter och krafter och herravälden, över alla namn som finns att nämna, såväl i denna tiden som i den kommande. 22 Allt lade han under hans fötter , och honom som är huvud över allting gjorde han till huvud för kyrkan, 23 som är hans kropp, fullheten av honom som helt uppfyller allt.
EPHESIANS 1
1 t From Paul, chosen by God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus.
To God's people who live in Ephesus andt are faithful followers of Christ Jesus.
2 I pray that God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace!Christ Brings Spiritual //Blessings
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the spiritual blessings that Christ has brought us from heaven! 4 Before the world was created, God had Christ choose us to live with him and to be his holy and innocent and loving people. 5 God was kindt and decided that Christ would choose us to be God's own adopted children.
6 God treated us with undeserved grace because of the Son he dearly loves, and so we should praise God.
7-8 t Christ sacrificed his life's blood to set us free, which means our sins are now forgiven. Christ did this because of God's gift of undeserved grace to us. God has great wisdom and understanding, 9 and by what Christ has done, God has shown us his own mysterious ways.
10 Then when the time is right, God will do all he has planned, and Christ will bring together everything in heaven and on earth.
11 God always does what he plans, and this is why he appointed Christ to choose us. 12 He did this so we Jews would bring honor to him and be the first ones to have hope because of him. 13 Christ also brought you the truth, which is the good news about how you can be saved. You put your faith in Christ and were given the promised Holy Spirit to show you belong to God.
14 The Spirit also makes us sure we will be given what God has stored up for his people. Then we will be set free, and God will be honored and praised.Paul's Prayer
15 I have heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God's people. 16 So I never stop being grateful for you, as I mention you in my prayers. 17 I ask the glorious Father and God of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you his Spirit. The Spirit will make you wise and let you understand what it means to know God.
18 My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and you will understand the hope given to you when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all God's people.
19 I want you to know about the great and mighty power that God has for us followers. It is the same wonderful power he used 20 t when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right sidet in heaven. 21 There Christ rules over all forces, authorities, powers, and rulers. He rules over all beings in this world and will rule in the future world as well. 22 t t God has put all things under the power of Christ, and for the good of the church he has made him the head of everything. 23 The church is the body of Christ and is filled with Christ who completely fills everything.t
