Efesierbrevet 1

Hälsning

1 Från Paulus, genom Guds vilja Kristi Jesu apostel, till de heliga som bor i Efesust och som tror på Kristus Jesus.2 Nåd vare med er och frid från Gud, vår Fader, och Herren Jesus Kristus.

Utkorelsen ett ämne för lovprisning

3 Välsignad är vår Herre Jesu Kristi Gud och Fader, som i Kristus har välsignat oss med all den himmelska världens andliga välsignelse,4 liksom han innan världens grund blev lagd har utvalt oss i honom för att vi skulle vara heliga och fläckfria inför honom.5 I sin kärlek har han genom Jesus Kristus förutbestämt att vi skulle tas upp som hans barn, enligt sin vilja och sitt beslut,6 för att den härliga nåd som han har skänkt oss i den Älskade skall prisas.7 I honom är vi friköpta genom hans blod och har förlåtelse för våra synder på grund av den rika nåd8 som han har låtit flöda över oss, med all vishet och insikt.9 Han har låtit oss få veta sin viljas hemlighet, enligt det beslut som han hade fattat i Kristus,10 den plan som skulle genomföras när tiden var fullbordad: att i Kristus sammanfatta allt i himlen och på jorden.11 I honom har vi också fått vårt arv, förutbestämda till det av honom som utför allt efter sin vilja och sitt beslut,12 för att vi som har vårt hopp i Kristus skall prisa hans härlighet och ära.13 I honom har också ni, sedan ni hört det sanna budskapet, evangeliet om er frälsning, ja, i honom har också ni, sedan ni kommit till tro, tagit emot den utlovade helige Ande som ett sigill.14 Anden är en handpenning på vårt arv, att hans eget folk skall förlossas, för att hans härlighet skall prisas.

Apostelns förbön

15 Sedan jag hört om er tro i Herren Jesus och er kärlek till alla de heliga,16 upphör jag inte att tacka Gud för er när jag nämner er i mina böner.17 Jag ber att vår Herre Jesu Kristi Gud, härlighetens Fader, skall ge er vishetens och uppenbarelsens Ande, så att ni får en rätt kunskap om honom.18 Jag ber att era hjärtant skall upplysas, så att ni förstår vilket hopp han har kallat er till och hur rikt på härlighet hans arv är bland de heliga,19 och hur oerhört stor hans makt är i oss som tror, därför att hans väldiga kraft är verksam.

Från död till liv

20 Med denna kraft verkade han i Kristus, när han uppväckte honom från de döda och satte honom på sin högra sida i himlen,21 över alla furstar och väldigheter, makter och herradömen, ja, över alla namn som kan nämnas inte bara i denna tidsålder utan också i den kommande.22 "Allt lade han under hans fötter," t och honom som är huvud över allting gav han åt församlingen,23 som är hans kropp, fullheten av honom som uppfyller allt i alla.

EPHESIANS 1

2 I pray that God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace!

Christ Brings Spiritual //Blessings

6 God treated us with undeserved grace because of the Son he dearly loves, and so we should praise God.
7-8  t Christ sacrificed his life's blood to set us free, which means our sins are now forgiven. Christ did this because of God's gift of undeserved grace to us. God has great wisdom and understanding, 9 and by what Christ has done, God has shown us his own mysterious ways.

10 Then when the time is right, God will do all he has planned, and Christ will bring together everything in heaven and on earth.
11 God always does what he plans, and this is why he appointed Christ to choose us. 12 He did this so we Jews would bring honor to him and be the first ones to have hope because of him. 13 Christ also brought you the truth, which is the good news about how you can be saved. You put your faith in Christ and were given the promised Holy Spirit to show you belong to God.

14 The Spirit also makes us sure we will be given what God has stored up for his people. Then we will be set free, and God will be honored and praised.

Paul's Prayer

18 My prayer is that light will flood your hearts and you will understand the hope given to you when God chose you. Then you will discover the glorious blessings that will be yours together with all God's people.
19 I want you to know about the great and mighty power that God has for us followers. It is the same wonderful power he used 20 t when he raised Christ from death and let him sit at his right sidet in heaven. 21 There Christ rules over all forces, authorities, powers, and rulers. He rules over all beings in this world and will rule in the future world as well. 22 t t God has put all things under the power of Christ, and for the good of the church he has made him the head of everything. 23 The church is the body of Christ and is filled with Christ who completely fills everything.t
