ภารกิจของเปาโลต่อพวกต่างชาติ
1 เพราะเหตุนี้ ข้าพเจ้าเปาโลผู้เป็นนักโทษเนื่องจากการประกาศพระเยซูtคริสต์เพราะเห็นแก่ท่านทั้งหลายซึ่งเป็นคนต่างชาติ 2 พวกท่านได้ยินมาแล้วอย่างแน่นอนถึงภารกิจแห่งพระคุณของพระเจ้าที่ทรงมอบแก่ข้าพเจ้าเพื่อท่าน 3 คือพระองค์ทรงเปิดเผยให้ข้าพเจ้ารู้ความล้ำลึกนั้น ตามที่ข้าพเจ้าเขียนไว้ย่อๆ แล้ว 4 และเมื่อท่านอ่านถ้อยคำเหล่านั้นแล้ว พวกท่านก็สามารถรับรู้ถึงความเข้าใจของข้าพเจ้าในเรื่องความล้ำลึกของพระคริสต์ 5 ซึ่งในสมัยก่อนพระองค์ไม่โปรดให้มนุษย์รู้เหมือนอย่างในเวลานี้ที่ทรงเปิดเผยแก่บรรดาอัครทูตบริสุทธิ์ และบรรดาผู้เผยพระวจนะบริสุทธิ์โดยพระวิญญาณ 6 นั่นก็คือคนต่างชาติได้เป็นผู้ร่วมรับมรดก เป็นอวัยวะของกายเดียวกัน และเป็นผู้มีส่วนร่วมในพระสัญญาในพระเยซูคริสต์โดยทางข่าวประเสริฐt
7 ข้าพเจ้ามาเป็นผู้ปรนนิบัติของข่าวประเสริฐนี้ตามของประทานแห่งพระคุณที่พระเจ้าประทานแก่ข้าพเจ้าโดยกิจการที่ทรงฤทธานุภาพของพระองค์ 8 แม้ข้าพเจ้าจะเป็นคนเล็กน้อยยิ่งกว่าคนเล็กน้อยที่สุดในพวกธรรมิกชนทั้งหมด ก็ประทานพระคุณนี้แก่ข้าพเจ้าเพื่อประกาศแก่คนต่างชาติถึงความบริบูรณ์ของพระคริสต์ที่สุดจะหยั่งถึงได้ 9 และทรงให้ทุกคนเห็นว่าอะไรคือแผนงานของความล้ำลึกที่พระเจ้าผู้ทรงสร้างทุกสิ่งทรงปิดบังไว้ตลอดหลายยุคที่ผ่านมา 10 เพื่อว่าพวกภูตผีที่ครอบครองและพวกภูตผีที่มีอำนาจในสวรรคสถาน จะได้รู้จักพระปัญญาอันมากล้นหลายด้านของพระเจ้าโดยทางคริสตจักรในเวลานี้ 11 ทั้งนี้เป็นไปตามพระประสงค์นิรันดร์ที่พระองค์ทรงทำแล้วในพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา 12 ในพระองค์นั้นเราจึงมีความกล้าและความมั่นใจที่จะเข้าเฝ้าพระเจ้าโดยทางความเชื่อในพระคริสต์t 13 ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงขอร้องท่านทั้งหลายว่า อย่าท้อถอยเพราะความยากลำบากของข้าพเจ้าเพราะเห็นแก่ท่าน สิ่งเหล่านี้เป็นศักดิ์ศรีของพวกท่าน
ให้ซาบซึ้งในความรักของพระคริสต์
14 เพราะเหตุนี้ข้าพเจ้าจึงคุกเข่าต่อพระบิดา 15 (คำว่า บิดา ของทุกตระกูลในสวรรค์ก็ดี บนแผ่นดินโลกก็ดี มาจากคำว่าพระบิดานี้) 16 ข้าพเจ้าทูลขอให้ประทานความเข้มแข็งภายในจิตใจด้วยฤทธานุภาพที่มาทางพระวิญญาณของพระองค์แก่พวกท่าน ตามพระสิริอันอุดมของพระองค์ 17 ให้พระคริสต์ประทับในใจของท่านโดยทางความเชื่อ ให้ท่านได้หยั่งรากและตั้งมั่นอยู่ในความรัก 18 ข้าพเจ้าทูลขอให้ท่านสามารถเข้าใจร่วมกับธรรมิกชนทั้งหมดถึงความกว้าง ความยาว ความสูง และความลึก 19 คือให้ซาบซึ้งในความรักของพระคริสต์ซึ่งเกินความรู้ เพื่อพวกท่านจะได้รับความบริบูรณ์ของพระเจ้าอย่างเต็มเปี่ยม
20 ขอให้พระเกียรติมีแด่พระองค์ผู้ทรงสามารถทำทุกสิ่งได้มากยิ่งกว่าที่เราทูลขอหรือคิด โดยฤทธานุภาพที่ทำกิจอยู่ภายในเรา 21 ขอให้พระเกียรติจงมีแด่พระองค์ในคริสตจักรและในพระเยซูคริสต์ตลอดทุกชั่วอายุคนเป็นนิตย์ อาเมน
Ephesians 3
1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus in behalf of you Gentiles,--2 if so be that ye have heard of the dispensation of that grace of God which was given me to you-ward;3 how that by revelation was made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote before in few words,4 whereby, when ye read, ye can perceive my understanding in the mystery of Christ;5 which in other generations was not made known unto the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;6 to wit, that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs, and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,7 whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach unto the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;9 and to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery which for ages hath been hid in God who created all things;10 to the intent that now unto the principalities and the powers in the heavenly places might be made known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,11 according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:12 in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him.13 Wherefore I ask that ye may not faint at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father,15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18 may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,19 and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,21 unto him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus unto all generations for ever and ever.
