Hijos y padres
1 Hijos, obedeced a vuestros padres por amor al Señor, porque esto es justo.t 2 El primer mandamiento que contiene una promesa es: “Honra a tu padre y a tu madre,
3 para que seas feliz y vivas una larga vida en la tierra.”t
4 Y vosotros, padres, no irritéis a vuestros hijos,t sino criadlos con disciplina e instruidlos en el amor al Señor.Esclavos y amos
5 Esclavos, obedeced a quienes aquí en la tierra son vuestros amos. Hacedlo con respeto, temort y sinceridad, como si estuvierais sirviendo a Cristo. 6 Servidles, no solo cuando os están mirando, para quedar bien con ellos, sino como siervos de Cristo, haciendo de todo corazón la voluntad de Dios. 7 Cumplid con vuestro trabajo de buena gana, como un servicio al Señor y no a los hombres.
8 Pues ya sabéis que cada uno, sea esclavo o libre, recibirá del Señor según lo que haya hecho de bueno.
9 Y vosotros, amos, portaos del mismo modo con vuestros esclavos, sin amenazas. Recordad que, tanto vosotros como ellos, estáis sujetos al Señor que está en el cielo, y que él no hace diferencia entre una persona y otra.tEl combate espiritual del cristiano
10 Ahora, hermanos, fortaleceos en vuestra unión con el Señort y su fuerza poderosa. 11 Protegeos con toda la armadura que habéis recibido de Dios,t para que podáis manteneros firmes contra los engaños del diablo. 12 Porque no estamos luchando contra gente de carne y hueso, sino contra malignas fuerzas espirituales del cielo,t que tienen mando, autoridad y dominio sobre este mundo lleno de oscuridad.t
13 Por eso, tomad toda la armadura que habéis recibido de Dios, para que podáis resistir en el día malo y, después de haberos preparado bien,t manteneros firmes.
14 Así que manteneos firmes, revestidos de la verdadt y protegidos por la rectitud.t 15 Estad siempre listos para salir a anunciar el mensaje de la paz.t 16 Sobre todo, que vuestra fe sea el escudo que os libre de las flechas encendidas del maligno;t 17 que la salvación sea el cascot que proteja vuestra cabeza, y que la palabra de Dios sea la espada que os da el Espíritu Santo.t 18 No dejéis de orar:t rogad y pedid a Dios siempre, guiados por el Espíritu. Permaneced alerta, sin desanimaros, y orad por todo el pueblo santo. 19 Orad también por mí, para que Dios me dé las palabras que debo decir, y para que pueda hablar con valor y dar así a conocer el designio secreto de Dios contenido en el evangelio.t
20 Dios me ha enviado como embajadort de este mensaje por el cual ahora estoy preso.t Orad para que yo hable de él sin temor alguno.Despedida (6.21-24)
21 Tíquico,t nuestro querido hermano y fiel ayudante en la obra del Señor, os llevará todas las noticias que se refieren a mí y a lo que estoy haciendo.
22 Por eso os lo envío, para que os diga cómo estamos y para que, de esa manera, os anime.t
23 Que Dios el Padre, y el Señor Jesucristo, os den a los hermanos paz y amor, con fe; 24 y que den su gracia a todos los que aman a nuestro Señor Jesucristo con un amor inalterable.
Ephesians 6
1 Children,t obey your parents in the Lords for this is right.2 “Honor your father and mother,”s which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely,
3 “that it may gotwell with you and that you will liveta long time on the earth.”s
4 Fathers,t do not provoke your children to anger,t but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
5 Slaves,t obey your human masterst with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart as to Christ,6 not like those who do their work only when someone is watchingt – as people-pleasers – but as slaves of Christ doing the will of God from the heart.t7 Obeyt with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lordt and not people,
8 because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, thiss will be rewarded by the Lord.
9 Masters,t treat your slavest the same way,t giving up the use of threats,t because you know that both you and they have the same master in heaven,t and there is no favoritism with him.
Exhortations for Spiritual Warfare
10 Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of his power.11 Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemest of the devil.12 For our strugglet is not against flesh and blood,t but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness,ts against the spiritual forcest of evil in the heavens.s13 For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your groundt on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand.14 Stand firm therefore, by fastenings the belt of truth around your waist,t by putting on the breastplate of righteousness,15 by fitting yourt feet with the preparation that comes from the good newst of peace,t16 and in all of this,t by taking up the shields of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.17 And take the helmet of salvations and the swords of the Spirit, which is the word of God.18 With every prayer and petition, prayt at all times in the Spirit, and to this endt be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the saints.19 Prayt for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speakt – that I may confidently make knownt the mystery of the gospel,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

21 Tychicus, myt dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you, so that you too may know about my circumstances,t how I am doing.
22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our circumstancest and that he may encourage your hearts.
23 Peace to the brothers and sisters,t and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Grace bet with all of those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.st
