EFESIOS 6

Los padres y los hijos

1 Hijos, obedezcan a sus padres. Ustedes son de Cristo, y eso es lo que les corresponde hacer.2 El primer mandamiento que va acompañado de una promesa es el siguiente: «Obedezcan y cuiden a su padre y a su madre.

3 Así les irá bien, y podrán vivir muchos años en la tierra.»

4 Y ustedes, padres, no hagan enojar a sus hijos. Más bien edúquenlos y denles enseñanzas cristianas.

Los esclavos y sus amos

5 Esclavos y esclavas, obedezcan a los que aquí en la tierra son sus amos. Obedézcanlos con respeto, sinceridad, y de buena gana, como si estuvieran sirviendo a Cristo mismo.6-7 Esto deben hacerlo en todo momento, y no sólo cuando sus amos los estén viendo. Ustedes son esclavos de Cristo, así que deben hacer con alegría y entusiasmo lo que Dios quiere que hagan, como si lo hicieran para el Señor y no sólo para sus amos.

8 Pueden estar seguros de que el Señor premiará a todos por lo bueno que hayan hecho, sin importar que hayan sido esclavos o libres.

9 También ustedes, amos, deben tratar a sus esclavos con igual respeto, y sin amenazas. Recuerden que tanto ustedes como ellos pertenecen al mismo dueño. Ese dueño es Dios, que está en el cielo, y él no tiene favoritos.

La armadura de Dios

10 Finalmente, dejen que el gran poder de Cristo les dé las fuerzas necesarias.11 Protéjanse con la armadura que Dios les ha dado, y así podrán resistir los ataques del diablo.12 Porque no luchamos contra gente como nosotros, sino contra espíritus malvados que actúan en el cielo. Ellos imponen su autoridad y su poder en el mundo actual.

13 Por lo tanto, ¡protéjanse con la armadura completa! Así, cuando llegue el día malo, podrán resistir los ataques del enemigo y se mantendrán firmes hasta el fin.
14 ¡Manténganse alerta! Que la verdad y la justicia de Dios los vistan y protejan como una armadura.15 Compartan la buena noticia de la paz; ¡estén siempre listos a anunciarla!16 Que su confianza en Dios los proteja como un escudo, y apague las flechas encendidas que arroja el diablo.

17 Que la salvación los proteja como un casco, y que los defienda la palabra de Dios, que es la espada del Espíritu Santo.
18 No se olviden de orar. Y siempre que oren a Dios, dejen que los dirija el Espíritu Santo. Manténganse en estado de alerta, y no se den por vencidos. En sus oraciones, pidan siempre por todos los que forman parte del pueblo de Dios.19 Oren también por mí, y pídanle a Dios que me dé el valor de anunciar el plan que él había mantenido en secreto.

20 El Señor me envió a anunciar ese plan, y por eso estoy preso. Pídanle a Dios que me dé el valor de anunciar sin ningún temor la buena noticia.

Saludos finales

21-22 Les envío a Tíquico, nuestro querido compañero y fiel servidor de Cristo, para que los anime y les cuente cómo estoy y qué hago.
23 Deseo que Dios el Padre, y el Señor Jesucristo, les den paz, amor y confianza a todos los miembros de la iglesia.

24 Y espero que Dios sea bueno con todos los que nunca dejan de amar a nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Ephesians 6

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.2 Honor thy father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),3 that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.5 Servants, be obedient unto them that according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;6 not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;7 with good will doing service, as unto the Lord, and not unto men:8 knowing that whatsoever good thing each one doeth, the same shall he receive again from the Lord, whether he be bond or free.9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, and forbear threatening: knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him.10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.13 Wherefore take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,19 And on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.21 But that ye also may know my affairs, how I do, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:22 whom I have sent unto you for this very purpose, that ye may know our state, and that he may comfort your hearts.23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible.
