Consagración de los sacerdotes

1 »Para consagrarlos como sacerdotes a mi servicio, harás lo siguiente: Tomarás un novillo y dos carneros sin defecto, 2 y con harina fina de trigo harás panes y tortas sin levadura amasadas con aceite, y obleas sin levadura untadas con aceite. 3 Pondrás los panes, las tortas y las obleas en un canastillo, y me los presentarás junto con el novillo y los dos carneros. 4 Luego llevarás a Aarón y a sus hijos a la entrada de la *Tienda de reunión, y los bañarás. 5 Tomarás las vestiduras y le pondrás a Aarón la túnica, el *efod con su manto, y el pectoral. El efod se lo sujetarás con el cinturón. 6 Le pondrás el turbante en la cabeza, y sobre el turbante, la tiara sagrada. 7 Luego lo ungirás derramando el aceite de la unción sobre su cabeza. 8 Acercarás entonces a sus hijos y les pondrás las túnicas 9 y las mitras; a continuación, les ceñirás los cinturones a Aarón y a sus hijos. Así les conferirás autoridad, y el sacerdocio será para ellos una ley perpetua.
10 »Arrimarás el novillo a la entrada de la Tienda de reunión para que Aarón y sus hijos le pongan las manos sobre la cabeza, 11 y allí, en presencia del Señor, sacrificarás al novillo. 12 Con el dedo tomarás un poco de la sangre del novillo y la untarás en los cuernos del altar, y al pie del altar derramarás la sangre restante. 13 Al hígado y a los dos riñones les quitarás la grasa que los recubre, y la quemarás sobre el altar; 14 pero la carne del novillo, su piel y su excremento los quemarás fuera del campamento, pues se trata de un sacrificio por el pecado.
15 »Tomarás luego uno de los carneros para que Aarón y sus hijos le pongan las manos sobre la cabeza; 16 lo sacrificarás, y con la sangre rociarás el altar y sus cuatro costados. 17 Destazarás el carnero y, luego de lavarle los intestinos y las piernas, los pondrás sobre los pedazos y la cabeza del carnero, 18 y quemarás todo el carnero sobre el altar. Se trata de un *holocausto, de una ofrenda presentada por fuego, de aroma grato al Señor.
19 »Tomarás entonces el otro carnero para que Aarón y sus hijos le pongan las manos sobre la cabeza, 20 y lo sacrificarás, poniendo un poco de su sangre en el lóbulo de la oreja derecha de Aarón y de sus hijos, lo mismo que en el pulgar derecho y en el dedo gordo derecho. Después de eso rociarás el altar y sus cuatro costados con la sangre, 21 y rociarás también un poco de esa sangre y del aceite de la unción sobre Aarón y sus hijos, y sobre sus vestiduras. Así Aarón y sus hijos y sus vestiduras quedarán consagrados.
22 »De este carnero, que representa la autoridad conferida a los sacerdotes, tomarás la cola, la grasa que recubre las vísceras, el hígado, los dos riñones y el muslo derecho. 23 Del canastillo del pan sin levadura que está ante el Señor, tomarás uno de los panes, una torta hecha con aceite y una oblea, 24 y meciéndolos ante el Señor los pondrás en las manos de Aarón y de sus hijos. Se trata de una ofrenda mecida. 25 Luego ellos deberán devolverte todo esto para que tú, en presencia del Señor, lo quemes sobre el altar, junto con el holocausto de aroma grato. Ésta es una ofrenda presentada por fuego en honor del Señor. 26 Después de eso, tomarás el pecho del carnero que representa la autoridad conferida a Aarón, y lo mecerás ante el Señor, pues se trata de una ofrenda mecida. Esa porción será la tuya.
27 »Aparta el pecho del carnero que fue mecido para conferirles autoridad a Aarón y a sus hijos, y también el muslo que fue presentado como ofrenda, pues son las porciones que a ellos les corresponden. 28 Éstas son las porciones que, de sus sacrificios de *comunión al Señor, les darán siempre los israelitas a Aarón y a sus hijos como contribución.
29 »Las vestiduras sagradas de Aarón pasarán a ser de sus descendientes, para que sean ungidos y ordenados con ellas. 30 Cualquiera de los sacerdotes descendientes de Aarón que se presente en la Tienda de reunión para ministrar en el Lugar Santo, deberá llevar puestas esas vestiduras durante siete días.
31 »Toma el carnero con que se les confirió autoridad, y cuece su carne en el lugar sagrado. 32 A la entrada de la Tienda de reunión, Aarón y sus hijos comerán la carne del carnero y el pan que está en el canastillo. 33 Con esas ofrendas se hizo *expiación por ellos, se les confirió autoridad y se les consagró; sólo ellos podrán comerlas, y nadie más, porque son ofrendas sagradas. 34 Si hasta el otro día queda algo del carnero con que se les confirió autoridad, o algo del pan, quémalo. No debe comerse, porque es parte de las ofrendas sagradas.
35 »Haz con Aarón y con sus hijos todo lo que te he ordenado. Dedica siete días a conferirles autoridad. 36 Para hacer expiación, cada día ofrecerás un novillo como ofrenda por el pecado. Purificarás el altar haciendo expiación por él y ungiéndolo para consagrarlo. 37 Esto lo harás durante siete días. Así el altar y cualquier cosa que lo toque quedarán consagrados.
38 »Todos los días ofrecerás sobre el altar dos corderos de un año. 39 Al despuntar el día, ofrecerás uno de ellos, y al caer la tarde, el otro. 40 Con el primer cordero ofrecerás, como ofrenda de libación, dos kiloss de harina fina mezclada con un litro de aceite de oliva, y un litros de vino. 41 El otro cordero lo sacrificarás al caer la tarde, como ofrenda presentada por fuego de aroma grato al Señor, junto con una ofrenda de libación como la presentada en la mañana.
42 »Las generaciones futuras deberán ofrecer siempre este holocausto al Señor. Lo harán a la entrada de la Tienda de reunión, donde yo me reuniré contigo y te hablaré, 43 y donde también me reuniré con los israelitas. Mi gloriosa presencia *santificará ese lugar.
44 »Consagraré la Tienda de reunión y el altar, y consagraré también a Aarón y a sus hijos para que me sirvan como sacerdotes. 45 Habitaré entre los israelitas, y seré su Dios. 46 Así sabrán que yo soy el Señor su Dios, que los sacó de Egipto para habitar entre ellos. Yo soy el Señor su Dios.

The Consecration of Aaron and His Sons

1 s “Now this is whatt you are to do for them to consecrate them so that they may minister as my priests. Take a youngt bull and two rams without blemish;t2 ands bread made without yeast, and perforated cakes without yeast mixed with oil, and wafers without yeast spreadt with oil – you are to make them usingt fine wheat flour.

3 You are to put them in one basket and presentt them in the basket, along witht the bull and the two rams.
4 “You are to presentt Aaron and his sons at the entrance of the tent of meeting. You are to washs them with water5 and take the garments and clothe Aaron with the tunic,t the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastpiece; you are to fasten the ephod on him by using the skillfully woven waistband.t6 You are to put the turban on his head and put the holy diadems on the turban.7 You are to take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him.s8 You are to present his sons and clothe them with tunics

9 and wrap the sashes around Aaron and his sonss and put headbands on them, and so the ministry of priesthood will belong to them by a perpetual ordinance. Thus you are to consecratet Aaron and his sons.
10 “You are to present the bull at the front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons are to putt their hands on the heads of the bull.11 You are to kill the bull before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting12 and take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altars with your finger; all the rest oft the blood you are to pour out at the base of the altar.13 You are to take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the lobet that is above the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn themts on the altar.14 But the meat of the bull, its skin, and its dung you are to burn upt outside the camp.s It is the purification offering.s15 “You are to take one ram, and Aaron and his sons are to lay their hands on the ram’s head,16 and you are to kill the ram and take its blood and splash it all around on the altar.17 Then you are to cut the ram into pieces and wash the entrails and its legs and put them on its pieces and on its head

18 and burnt the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offerings to the Lord, a soothing aroma; it is an offering made by firet to the Lord.s
19 “You are to take the second ram, and Aaron and his sons are to lay their hands on the ram’s head,20 and you are to kill the ram and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron, on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand, and on the big toe of their right foot,s and then splash the blood all around on the altar.

21 You are to take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle itt on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on his sons’ garments with him, so that he may be holy,t he and his garments along with his sons and his sons’ garments.
22 “You are to take from the ram the fat, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the lobet of the liver, the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and the right thigh – for it is the ram for consecrationt –23 and one round flat cake of bread, one perforated cake of oiled bread, and one wafer from the basket of bread made without yeast that is before the Lord.24 You are to put all theset in Aaron’s handst and in his sons’ hands, and you are to wave them as a wave offeringt before the Lord.25 Then you are to take them from their hands and burnt themt on the altar for a burnt offering, for a soothing aroma before the Lord. It is an offering made by fire to the Lord.26 You are to take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration; you are to wave it as a wave offering before the Lord, and it is to be your share.27 You are to sanctify the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the contribution,s which were waved and lifted up as a contribution from the ram of consecration, from what belongs to Aaron and to his sons.

28 It is to belong to Aaron and to his sons from the Israelites, by a perpetual ordinance, for it is a contribution. It is to be a contribution from the Israelites from their peace offerings, their contribution to the Lord.
29 “The holy garments that belong to Aaron are to belong to his sons after him, so that they may be anointedt in them and consecratedt in them.

30 The priest who succeeds himt from his sons, when he first comest to the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place, is to wear them for seven days.t
31 “You are to take the ram of the consecration and cookt its meat in a holy place.s32 Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that was in the basket at the entrance of the tent of meeting.33 They are to eat those things by which atonement was madet to consecrate and to set them apart, but no one elset may eat them, for they are holy.

34 If any of the meat from the consecration offeringst or any of the bread is left overt until morning, then you are to burn upt what is left over. It must not be eaten,t because it is holy.
35 “Thus you are to do for Aaron and for his sons, according to all that I have commanded you; you are to consecrate themt fort seven days.36 Every day you are to prepare a bull for a purification offeringt for atonement.s You are to purget the altar by making atonementt for it, and you are to anoint it to set it apart as holy.

37 For seven dayst you are to make atonement for the altar and set it apart as holy. Then the altar will be most holy.t Anything that touches the altar will be holy.s
38 “Now this is what you are to preparet on the altar every day continually: two lambs a year old.39 The first lamb you are to prepare in the morning, and the second lamb you are to prepare around sundown.t40 With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephaht of fine flour mixed with a fourth of a hint of oil from pressed olives, and a fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering.

41 The second lamb you are to offer around sundown; you are to prepare for it the same meal offering as for the morning and the same drink offering, for a soothing aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord.
42 “This will be a regulart burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord, where I will meett with you to speak to you there.

43 There I will meett with the Israelites, and it will be set apart as holy by my glory.ts
44 “So I will set apart as holyt the tent of meeting and the altar, and I will set apart as holy Aaron and his sons, that they may minister as priests to me.45 I will residet among the Israelites, and I will be their God,

46 and they will know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, so that I may reside among them. I am the Lord their God.
