Ezekiel 39

第39章

1 人の子よ、ゴグに向かって預言して言え。主なる神はこう言われる、メセクとトバルの大君であるゴグよ、見よ、わたしはあなたの敵となる。2 わたしはあなたを引きもどし、あなたを押しやり、北の果から上らせ、イスラエルの山々に導き、3 あなたの左の手から弓を打ち落し、右の手から矢を落させる。4 あなたとあなたのすべての軍隊およびあなたと共にいる民たちは、イスラエルの山々に倒れる。わたしはあなたを、諸種の猛禽と野獣とに与えて食わせる。5 あなたは野の面に倒れる。わたしがこれを言ったからであると、主なる神は言われる。6 わたしはゴグと、海沿いの国々に安らかに住む者に対して火を送り、彼らにわたしが主であることを悟らせる。7 わたしはわが聖なる名を、わが民イスラエルのうちに知らせ、重ねてわが聖なる名を汚させない。諸国民はわたしが主、イスラエルの聖者であることを悟る。8 主なる神は言われる、見よ、これは来る、必ず成就する。これはわたしが言った日である。9 イスラエルの町々に住む者は出て来て、武器すなわち大盾、小盾、弓、矢、手やり、およびやりなどを燃やし、焼き、七年の間これを火に燃やす。10 彼らは野から木を取らず、森から木を切らず、武器で火を燃やし、自分をかすめた者をかすめ、自分の物を奪った者を奪うと、主なる神は言われる。11 その日、わたしはイスラエルのうちに、墓地をゴグに与える。これは旅びとの谷にあって海の東にある。これは旅びとを妨げる。そこにゴグとその民衆を埋めるからである。これをハモン・ゴグの谷と名づける。12 イスラエルの家はこれを埋めて、地を清めるために七か月を費す。13 国のすべての民はこれを埋め、これによって名を高める。これはわが栄えを現す日であると、主なる神は言われる。14 彼らは人々を選んで、絶えず国の中を行きめぐらせ、地のおもてに残っている者を埋めて、これを清めさせる。七か月の終りに彼らは尋ねる。15 国を行きめぐる者が行きめぐって、人の骨を見る時、死人を埋める者が、これをハモン・ゴグの谷に埋めるまで、そのかたわらに、標を建てて置く。16 （ハモナの町もそこにある。）こうして彼らはその国を清める。17 主なる神はこう言われる、人の子よ、諸種の鳥と野の獣とに言え、みな集まってこい。わたしがおまえたちのために供えた犠牲、すなわちイスラエルの山々の上にある、大いなる犠牲に、四方から集まり、その肉を食い、その血を飲め。18 おまえたちは勇士の肉を食い、地の君たちの血を飲め。雄羊、小羊、雄やぎ、雄牛などすべてバシャンの肥えた獣を食え。19 わたしがおまえたちのために供えた犠牲は、飽きるまでその脂肪を食べ、酔うまで血を飲め。20 おまえたちはわが食卓について馬と、騎手と、勇士と、もろもろの戦士とを飽きるほど食べると、主なる神は言われる。21 わたしはわが栄光を諸国民に示す。すべての国民はわたしが行ったさばきと、わたしが彼らの上に加えた手とを見る。22 この日から後、イスラエルの家はわたしが彼らの神、主であることを悟るようになる。23 また諸国民はイスラエルの家が、その悪によって捕え移されたことを悟る。彼らがわたしにそむいたので、わたしはわが顔を彼らに隠し、彼らをその敵の手に渡した。それで彼らは皆つるぎに倒れた。24 わたしは彼らの汚れと、とがとに従って、彼らを扱い、わたしの顔を彼らに隠した。25 それゆえ、主なる神はこう言われる、いまわたしはヤコブの幸福をもとに返し、イスラエルの全家をあわれみ、わが聖なる名のために、ねたみを起す。26 彼らは、その国に安らかに住み、だれもこれを恐れさせる者がないようになった時、自分の恥と、わたしに向かってなした反逆とを忘れる。27 わたしが彼らを諸国民の中から帰らせ、その敵の国から呼び集め、彼らによって、わたしの聖なることを、多くの国民の前に示す時、28 彼らは、わたしが彼らの神、主であることを悟る。これはわたしが彼らを諸国民のうちに移し、またこれをその国に呼び集めたからである。わたしはそのひとりをも、国々のうちに残すことをしない。29 わたしは、わが霊をイスラエルの家に注ぐ時、重ねてわが顔を彼らに隠さないと、主なる神は言われる」。

Ezekiel 39

1 “As for you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal!2 I will turn you around and drag you along;t I will lead you up from the remotest parts of the north and bring you against the mountains of Israel.3 I will knock your bow out of your left hand and make your arrows fall from your right hand.4 You will fall dead on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the people who are with you. I give you as food to every kind of bird and every wild beast.5 You will fall dead in the open field; for I have spoken, declares the sovereign Lord.

6 I will send fire on Magog and those who live securely in the coastlands; then they will know that I am the Lord.
7 “‘I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.s

8 Realize that it is coming and it will be done, declares the sovereign Lord. It is the day I have spoken about.
9 “‘Then those who live in the cities of Israel will go out and use the weapons for kindlingt – the shields,t bows and arrows, war clubs and spears – they will burn them for seven years.

10 They will not need to taket wood from the field or cut down trees from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons. They will take the loot from those who looted them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them,t declares the sovereign Lord.
11 “‘On that day I will assign Gog a grave in Israel. It will be the valley of those who travel east of the sea; it will block the way of the travelers. There they will bury Gog and all his horde; they will call it the valley of Hamon-Gog.t12 For seven months Israelt will bury them, in order to cleanse the land.13 All the people of the land will bury them, and it will be a memorialt for them on the day I magnify myself, declares the sovereign Lord.14 They will designate men to scout continuallyt through the land, burying those who remain on the surface of the ground,t in order to cleanse it. They will search for seven full months.15 When the scouts surveyt the land and see a human bone, they will place a sign by it, until those assigned to burial duty have buried itt in the valley of Hamon-Gog.

16 (A city by the name of Hamonaht will also be there.) They will cleanse the land.’
17 “As for you, son of man, this is what the sovereign Lord says: Tell every kind of bird and every wild beast: ‘Assemble and come! Gather from all around to my slaughtert which I am going to make for you, a great slaughter on the mountains of Israel! You will eat flesh and drink blood.18 You will eat the flesh of warriorss and drink the blood of the princes of the earth – the rams, lambs, goats, and bulls, all of them fattened animals of Bashan.19 You will eat fat until you are full, and drink blood until you are drunk,s at my slaughtert which I have made for you.

20 You will fill up at my table with horses and charioteers,t with warriors and all the soldiers,’ declares the sovereign Lord.
21 “I will display my majestyt among the nations. All the nations will witness the judgment I have executed, and the power I have exhibitedt among them.22 Then the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.23 The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile due to their iniquity,t for they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies; all of them died by the sword.

24 According to their uncleanness and rebellion I have dealt with them, and I hid my face from them.
25 “Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Now I will restoret the fortunes of Jacob, and I will have mercy on the entire house of Israel. I will be zealous for my holy name.26 They will bear their shame for all their unfaithful acts against me, when they live securely on their land with no one to make them afraid.27 When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will magnify myself among them in the sight of many nations.28 Then they will know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will not leave any of them in exilet any longer.

29 I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel,s declares the sovereign Lord.”
