Ezékiel 39

1  És te, embernek fia, prófétálj Góg ellen, és mondjad: Így szól az Úr Isten: Ímé, én ellened megyek Góg, Rós, Mések és Tubál fejedelme! 2  És elcsalogatlak és vezetgetlek, és felhozlak messze északról, és beviszlek Izráel hegyeire. 3  És kiütöm kézívedet balkezedből, és nyilaidat jobbkezedből kiejtem. 4  Izráel hegyein esel el te és minden sereged és a népek, melyek veled lesznek; a ragadozó madaraknak, minden szárnyas állatnak és a mezei vadaknak adtalak eledelül. 5  A mező színén esel el, mert én szóltam, ezt mondja az Úr Isten. 6  És bocsátok tüzet Mágógra és azokra, a kik a szigeteken bátorságosan laknak, hogy megtudják, hogy én vagyok az Úr. 7  És az én szent nevemet megismertetem az én népem, Izráel között, s többé nem hagyom megfertéztetni szent nevemet; és megtudják a pogányok, hogy én, az Úr, szent vagyok Izráelben!

8  Ímé, eljött és meglett, ezt mondja az Úr Isten; ez az a nap, a melyről szólottam. 9  És kimennek Izráel városainak lakói, és feltüzelik és felégetik a fegyvereket s a kis és nagy paizsokat, a kézívet és a nyilakat és a kézbeli pálczákat és dárdákat, és tüzelnek velök hét esztendeig. 10  És fát nem hordanak a mezőről, sem az erdőkről nem vágnak, hanem a fegyverekből tüzelnek, és zsákmányt vetnek zsákmányolóikban, s prédálóikat elprédálják, ezt mondja az Úr Isten.

11  És lészen azon a napon, hogy adok Gógnak helyet, hol temetője legyen Izráelben, a vándorok völgyét keletre a tengertől, ez fogja bezárni e vándor népséget; és ott temetik el Gógot és minden gyülevészét, és nevezik Góg gyülevésze völgyének. 12  És eltemeti őket Izráel háza, hogy a földet megtisztítsa, hét álló hónapig. 13  És temetni fog az ország egész népe, s lészen ez nékik dicsőségökre a napon, melyen megdicsőítem magamat, ezt mondja az Úr Isten. 14  És választanak embereket, kik a földet szüntelen bejárják, temetgetvén ama vándor népséget, azokat, kik még a föld színén maradtak, hogy azt megtisztítsák. Hét hónap mulva indulnak keresni. 15  És bejárják e járók a földet, és ha ki embertetemet lát, jelt állít melléje, míg a temetgetők eltemetik azt a Góg gyülevésze völgyében. 16  És egy városnak is Hamóna lesz a neve, és megtisztítják a földet.

17  És te, embernek fia, így szól az Isten, mondjad a madaraknak, minden szárnyas állatnak és minden mezei vadnak: Gyűljetek egybe és jőjjetek el, seregeljetek egybe mindenfelől az én áldozatomra, mert én nagy áldozatot szerzek néktek Izráel hegyein, és egyetek húst és igyatok vért! 18  Vitézek húsát egyétek, s a föld fejedelmeinek vérét igyátok, kosok, bárányok és bakok, bikák, Básánban hízottak mindnyájan; 19  S egyetek kövérséget jóllakásig, és igyatok vért megrészegedésig az én áldozatomból, a melyet szerzek néktek; 20  És lakjatok jól az én asztalomnál lovakból és paripákból, vitézekből és minden hadakozó férfiakból, ezt mondja az Úr Isten. 21  És megmutatom az én dicsőségemet a pogányok között, és meglátják mindazok a pogányok az én ítéletemet, melyet cselekedtem, és az én kezemet, melyet rájok vetettem. 22  És megtudja Izráel háza, hogy én vagyok az Úr, az ő Istenök, attól a naptól fogva és azután.

23  És megtudják a pogányok, hogy az ő vétke miatt vitetett fogságra Izráel háza, mivelhogy elpártolt tőlem, s én elrejtettem orczámat tőle; azért adtam őt ellenségei kezébe, és hullottak el fegyver miatt mindnyájan. 24  Az ő tisztátalanságuk s bűneik szerint cselekedtem velök, és elrejtettem orczámat tőlök. 25  Azért így szól az Úr Isten: Most már haza hozom Jákób foglyait, és megkegyelmezek Izráel egész házának, s féltő szerelemre gyulladok szent nevemért. 26  És elfelejtik gyalázatukat és minden vétköket, melylyel vétkeztek ellenem, mikor laknak földjökön bátorságosan, és őket senki sem rettegteti. 27  Mikor visszahozom őket a népek közül, és egybegyűjtöm őket ellenségeik földjeiről, akkor megszentelem magamat bennök sok nép szeme láttára. 28  És megtudják, hogy én vagyok az Úr, az ő Istenök, ki fogságra vittem őket a pogányok közé, majd egybegyűjtém őket földjökre, és senkit közülök többé ott nem hagyok. 29  És többé el nem rejtem orczámat tőlök, mivelhogy kiöntöttem lelkemet Izráel házára, ezt mondja az Úr Isten.

Ezekiel 39

1 “As for you, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say: ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal!2 I will turn you around and drag you along;t I will lead you up from the remotest parts of the north and bring you against the mountains of Israel.3 I will knock your bow out of your left hand and make your arrows fall from your right hand.4 You will fall dead on the mountains of Israel, you and all your troops and the people who are with you. I give you as food to every kind of bird and every wild beast.5 You will fall dead in the open field; for I have spoken, declares the sovereign Lord.

6 I will send fire on Magog and those who live securely in the coastlands; then they will know that I am the Lord.
7 “‘I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; I will not let my holy name be profaned anymore. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.s

8 Realize that it is coming and it will be done, declares the sovereign Lord. It is the day I have spoken about.
9 “‘Then those who live in the cities of Israel will go out and use the weapons for kindlingt – the shields,t bows and arrows, war clubs and spears – they will burn them for seven years.

10 They will not need to taket wood from the field or cut down trees from the forests, because they will make fires with the weapons. They will take the loot from those who looted them and seize the plunder of those who plundered them,t declares the sovereign Lord.
11 “‘On that day I will assign Gog a grave in Israel. It will be the valley of those who travel east of the sea; it will block the way of the travelers. There they will bury Gog and all his horde; they will call it the valley of Hamon-Gog.t12 For seven months Israelt will bury them, in order to cleanse the land.13 All the people of the land will bury them, and it will be a memorialt for them on the day I magnify myself, declares the sovereign Lord.14 They will designate men to scout continuallyt through the land, burying those who remain on the surface of the ground,t in order to cleanse it. They will search for seven full months.15 When the scouts surveyt the land and see a human bone, they will place a sign by it, until those assigned to burial duty have buried itt in the valley of Hamon-Gog.

16 (A city by the name of Hamonaht will also be there.) They will cleanse the land.’
17 “As for you, son of man, this is what the sovereign Lord says: Tell every kind of bird and every wild beast: ‘Assemble and come! Gather from all around to my slaughtert which I am going to make for you, a great slaughter on the mountains of Israel! You will eat flesh and drink blood.18 You will eat the flesh of warriorss and drink the blood of the princes of the earth – the rams, lambs, goats, and bulls, all of them fattened animals of Bashan.19 You will eat fat until you are full, and drink blood until you are drunk,s at my slaughtert which I have made for you.

20 You will fill up at my table with horses and charioteers,t with warriors and all the soldiers,’ declares the sovereign Lord.
21 “I will display my majestyt among the nations. All the nations will witness the judgment I have executed, and the power I have exhibitedt among them.22 Then the house of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God, from that day forward.23 The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile due to their iniquity,t for they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies; all of them died by the sword.

24 According to their uncleanness and rebellion I have dealt with them, and I hid my face from them.
25 “Therefore this is what the sovereign Lord says: Now I will restoret the fortunes of Jacob, and I will have mercy on the entire house of Israel. I will be zealous for my holy name.26 They will bear their shame for all their unfaithful acts against me, when they live securely on their land with no one to make them afraid.27 When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will magnify myself among them in the sight of many nations.28 Then they will know that I am the Lord their God, because I sent them into exile among the nations, and then gathered them into their own land. I will not leave any of them in exilet any longer.

29 I will no longer hide my face from them, when I pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel,s declares the sovereign Lord.”
