Gálatas 5

1 Para libertad fue que Cristo nos hizo libres; por tanto, permaneced firmes, y no os sometáis otra vez al yugo de esclavitud.
2 Mirad, yo, Pablo, os digo que si os dejáis circuncidar, Cristo de nada os aprovechará.3 Y otra vez testifico a todo hombre que se circuncida, que está obligado a cumplir toda la ley.4 De Cristo os habéis separado, vosotros que procuráis ser justificados por la ley; de la gracia habéis caído.5 Pues nosotros, por medio del Espíritu, esperamos por la fe la esperanza de justicia.6 Porque en Cristo Jesús ni la circuncisión ni la incircuncisión significan nada, sino la fe que obra por amor.7 Vosotros corríais bien, ¿quién os impidió obedecer a la verdad?8 Esta persuasión no vino de aquel que os llama.9 Un poco de levadura fermenta toda la masa.10 Yo tengo confianza respecto a vosotros en el Señor de que no optaréis por otro punto de vista; pero el que os perturba llevará su castigo, quienquiera que sea.11 Pero yo, hermanos, si todavía predico la circuncisión, ¿por qué soy perseguido aún? En tal caso, el escándalo de la cruz ha sido abolido.

12 ¡Ojalá que los que os perturban también se mutilaran!
13 Porque vosotros, hermanos, a libertad fuisteis llamados; sólo que no uséis la libertad como pretexto para la carne, sino servíos por amor los unos a los otros.14 Porque toda la ley en una palabra se cumple en el precepto: Amaras a tu projimo como a ti mismo.

15 Pero si os mordéis y os devoráis unos a otros, tened cuidado, no sea que os consumáis unos a otros.
16 Digo, pues: Andad por el Espíritu, y no cumpliréis el deseo de la carne.17 Porque el deseo de la carne es contra el Espíritu, y el del Espíritu es contra la carne, pues éstos se oponen el uno al otro, de manera que no podéis hacer lo que deseáis.18 Pero si sois guiados por el Espíritu, no estáis bajo la ley.19 Ahora bien, las obras de la carne son evidentes, las cuales son: inmoralidad, impureza, sensualidad,20 idolatría, hechicería, enemistades, pleitos, celos, enojos, rivalidades, disensiones, sectarismos,

21 envidias, borracheras, orgías y cosas semejantes, contra las cuales os advierto, como ya os lo he dicho antes, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el reino de Dios.
22 Mas el fruto del Espíritu es amor, gozo, paz, paciencia, benignidad, bondad, fidelidad,23 mansedumbre, dominio propio; contra tales cosas no hay ley.

24 Pues los que son de Cristo Jesús han crucificado la carne con sus pasiones y deseos.
25 Si vivimos por el Espíritu, andemos también por el Espíritu.26 No nos hagamos vanagloriosos, provocándonos unos a otros, envidiándonos unos a otros.

Galatians 5

1 For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that, if ye receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing.3 Yea, I testify again to every man that receiveth circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.4 Ye are severed from Christ, ye would be justified by the law; ye are fallen away from grace.5 For we through the Spirit by faith wait for the hope of righteousness.6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith working through love.7 Ye were running well; who hindered you that ye should not obey the truth?8 This persuasion came not of him that calleth you.9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.10 I have confidence to you-ward in the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.11 But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? then hath the stumbling-block of the cross been done away.12 I would that they that unsettle you would even go beyond circumcision.13 For ye, brethren, were called for freedom; only use not your freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through love be servants one to another.14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would.18 But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,21 envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.25 If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.26 Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
