اپنی آزادی کو محفُوظ رکھو
1 مسِیح نے ہمیں آزاد رہنے کے لِئے آزاد کِیا ہے پس قائِم رہو اور دوبارہ غُلامی کے جُوئے میں نہ جُتو۔
2 دیکھو مَیں پَولُس تُم سے کہتا ہُوں کہ اگر تُم خَتنہ کراؤ گے تو مسِیح سے تُم کو کُچھ فائِدہ نہ ہو گا۔ 3 بلکہ مَیں ہر ایک خَتنہ کرانے والے شخص پر پِھر گواہی دیتا ہُوں کہ اُسے تمام شرِیعت پر عمل کرنا فرض ہے۔ 4 تُم جو شرِیعت کے وسِیلہ سے راست باز ٹھہرنا چاہتے ہو مسِیح سے الگ ہو گئے اور فضل سے محرُوم۔ 5 کیونکہ ہم رُوح کے باعِث اِیمان سے راست بازی کی اُمّید بر آنے کے مُنتظِر ہیں۔
6 اور مسِیح یِسُو ع میں نہ تو خَتنہ کُچھ کام کا ہے نہ نا مختُونی مگر اِیمان جو مُحبّت کی راہ سے اثر کرتا ہے۔
7 تُم تو اچّھی طرح دَوڑ رہے تھے ۔ کِس نے تُمہیں حق کے ماننے سے روک دِیا؟۔ 8 یہ ترغِیب تُمہارے بُلانے والے کی طرف سے نہیں ہے۔ 9 تھوڑا سا خمِیر سارے گُندھے ہُوئے آٹے کو خمِیر کر دیتا ہے۔
10 مُجھے خُداوند میں تُم پر یہ بھروسا ہے کہ تُم اَور طرح کا خیال نہ کرو گے لیکن جو تُمہیں گھبرا دیتا ہے وہ خواہ کوئی ہو سزا پائے گا۔
11 اور اَے بھائِیو! مَیں اگر اب تک خَتنہ کی مُنادی کرتا ہُوں تو اب تک ستایا کیوں جاتا ہُوں؟ اِس صُورت میں صلِیب کی ٹھوکر تو جاتی رہی۔
12 کاش کہ تُمہارے بے قرار کرنے والے اپنا تعلُّق قطع کر لیتے۔
13 اَے بھائِیو! تُم آزادی کے لِئے بُلائے تو گئے ہو مگر اَیسا نہ ہو کہ وہ آزادی جِسمانی باتوں کا مَوقع بنے بلکہ مُحبّت کی راہ سے ایک دُوسرے کی خِدمت کرو۔ 14 کیونکہ ساری شرِیعت پر ایک ہی بات سے پُورا عمل ہو جاتا ہے یعنی اِس سے کہ تُو اپنے پڑوسی سے اپنی مانِند مُحبّت رکھ۔
15 لیکن اگر تُم ایک دُوسرے کو کاٹتے اور پھاڑے کھاتے ہو تو خبردار رہنا کہ ایک دُوسرے کا ستیاناس نہ کر دو۔خُدا کا رُوح اور اِنسانی سرِشت
16 مگر مَیں یہ کہتا ہُوں کہ رُوح کے مُوافِق چلو تو جِسم کی خواہِش کو ہرگِز پُورا نہ کرو گے۔ 17 کیونکہ جِسم رُوح کے خِلاف خواہِش کرتا ہے اور رُوح جِسم کے خِلاف اور یہ ایک دُوسرے کے مُخالِف ہیں تاکہ جو تُم چاہتے ہو وہ نہ کرو۔
18 اور اگر تُم رُوح کی ہدایت سے چلتے ہو تو شرِیعت کے ماتحت نہیں رہے۔
19 اب جِسم کے کام تو ظاہِر ہیں یعنی حرام کاری۔ ناپاکی ۔ شہوَت پرستی۔ 20 بُت پرستی ۔ جادُوگری ۔ عداوتیں ۔ جھگڑا ۔ حسد ۔ غُصّہ ۔ تفرِقے ۔ جُدائیاں ۔ بِدعتیں۔
21 بُغض ۔ نشہ بازی ۔ ناچ رنگ اور اَور اِن کی مانِند ۔ اِن کی بابت تُمہیں پہلے سے کہے دیتا ہُوں جَیسا کہ پیشتر جتا چُکا ہُوں کہ اَیسے کام کرنے والے خُدا کی بادشاہی کے وارِث نہ ہوں گے۔
22 مگر رُوح کا پھل مُحبّت ۔ خُوشی ۔ اِطمِینان ۔ تحمُّل ۔ مِہربانی ۔ نیکی ۔ اِیمان داری۔ 23 حِلم ۔ پرہیزگاری ہے ۔ اَیسے کاموں کی کوئی شرِیعت مُخالِف نہیں۔ 24 اور جو مسِیح یِسُؔوع کے ہیں اُنہوں نے جِسم کو اُس کی رَغبتوں اور خواہِشوں سمیت صلِیب پر کھینچ دِیا ہے۔ 25 اگر ہم رُوح کے سبب سے زِندہ ہیں تو رُوح کے مُوافِق چلنا بھی چاہیے۔ 26 ہم بے جا فخر کر کے نہ ایک دُوسرے کو چِڑائیں نہ ایک دُوسرے سے جَلیں۔
Galatians 5
Walk by the Spirit
1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
2 Behold I, Paul, say to you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will be of no benefit to you.3 And I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is under obligation to keep the whole Law.4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.5 For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.
7 You were running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth?8 This persuasion did not come from Him who calls you.9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. 10 I have confidence in you in the Lord that you will adopt no other view; but the one who is disturbing you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.11 But I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been abolished.12 I wish that those who are troubling you would even mutilate themselves.
13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."15 But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.26 Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.
