Galater 6

1 Brüder! Wenn auch ein Mensch von einem Fehltritt übereilt würde, so bringet ihr, die Geistlichen, einen solchen wieder zurecht im Geiste der Sanftmut, indem du auf dich selbst siehst, daß nicht auch du versucht werdest.2 Einer trage des anderen Lasten, und also erfüllet das Gesetz des Christus.3 Denn wenn jemand meint, etwas zu sein, da er doch nichts ist, so betrügt er sich selbst.4 Ein jeder aber prüfe sein eigenes Werk, und dann wird er an sich selbst allein und nicht an dem anderen Ruhm haben;5 denn ein jeder wird seine eigene Last tragen.6 Wer in dem Worte unterwiesen wird, teile aber von allerlei Gutem dem mit, der ihn unterweist.7 Irret euch nicht, Gott läßt sich nicht spotten! Denn was irgend ein Mensch sät, das wird er auch ernten.8 Denn wer für sein eigenes Fleisch sät, wird von dem Fleische Verderben ernten; wer aber für den Geist sät, wird von dem Geiste ewiges Leben ernten.9 Laßt uns aber im Gutestun nicht müde werden, denn zu seiner Zeit werden wir ernten, wenn wir nicht ermatten.10 Also nun, wie wir Gelegenheit haben, laßt uns das Gute wirken gegen alle, am meisten aber gegen die Hausgenossen des Glaubens.11 Sehet, welch einen langen Brief ich euch geschrieben habe mit eigener Hand!12 So viele im Fleische wohl angesehen sein wollen, die nötigen euch, beschnitten zu werden, nur auf daß sie nicht um des Kreuzes Christi willen verfolgt werden.13 Denn auch sie, die beschnitten sind, beobachten selbst das Gesetz nicht, sondern sie wollen, daß ihr beschnitten werdet, auf daß sie sich eures Fleisches rühmen.14 Von mir aber sei es ferne, mich zu rühmen, als nur des Kreuzes unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, durch welchen mir die Welt gekreuzigt ist, und ich der Welt.15 Denn weder Beschneidung noch Vorhaut ist etwas, sondern eine neue Schöpfung.16 Und so viele nach dieser Richtschnur wandeln werden, Friede über sie und Barmherzigkeit, und über den Israel Gottes!17 Hinfort mache mir keiner Mühe, denn ich trage die Malzeichen des Herrn Jesus an meinem Leibe.18 Die Gnade unseres Herrn Jesus Christus sei mit eurem Geiste, Brüder! Amen.

Galatians 6

Support One Another

1 Brothers and sisters,t if a persont is discovered in some sin,t you who are spirituals restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness.t Pay close attentiont to yourselves, so that you are not tempted too.2 Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.3 For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.4 Let each one examinet his own work. Then he can take pridet in himself and not compare himself witht someone else.

5 For each one will carryt his own load.
6 Now the one who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with the one who teachest it.7 Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool.t For a persont will reap what he sows,8 because the person who sows to his own flesht will reap corruptiont from the flesh,t but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit.9 So we must not grow wearyt in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up.t

10 So then,t whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.t

Final Instructions and Benediction

11 See what big letters I make as I write to you with my own hand!
12 Those who want to make a good showing in external matterst are trying to force you to be circumcised. They do sot only to avoid being persecuteds for the cross of Christ.13 For those who are circumcised do not obey the law themselves, but they want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your flesh.t14 But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whicht the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.15 Fors neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts fort anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation!t

16 And all who will behavet in accordance with this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on the Israel of God.t

17 From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body.t

18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ bet with your spirit, brothers and sisters.t Amen.
