ガラテヤ人への手紙 6
六
1 愛する皆さん。 一人のクリスチャンが何かあやまちを犯した場合、神様を敬っているあなたがたは、やさしく謙そんな気持ちでその人を助け、正しい道に立ち返らせてやりなさい。 同時に、今度は自分が悪の道に落ち込むかもしれないと、心を引きしめなさい。 2 相手の悩みを共に背負い、そのようにして、キリスト様の命令に従いなさい。 3 ひとかどの人物の自分が、なにもそこまで身を低くする必要はないと思う人は、自分自身をあざむいているのです。 そんな人は全く取るに足りない人間です。
4 ほんとうに最善を尽くしているかどうか、もう一度、点検しなさい。 そうすれば、よくやれたと自分で満足でき、他人と、とやかく比較することもなくなるでしょう。 5 人はみな、それぞれ自分の欠点や悩みを背負っています。 一人として、完全な人間はいないのです。
6 神様のことばを教えてくれる人には、報酬を払い、援助しなさい。
7 思い違いをしてはいけません。 いいですか。 神様を無視することなど実際には不可能であり、種をまいた人は、必ずその刈り取りもすることになるのです。 8 自分の悪い欲望を満足させるために種をまく者は、その結果、きっと霊的な滅びと死とを刈り取るはめになります。 しかし、聖霊様のよい種をまく者は、聖霊様が与えてくださる永遠のいのちを刈り取ります。 9 正しい行ないをすることに疲れ果ててしまわないようにしましょう。 失望せず、あきらめずにいれば、やがて祝福を刈り取る日が来るからです。 10 ですから、機会さえあれば、だれに対しても、特にクリスチャンには、親切にしましょう。
11 この最後のことばは自筆でしたためます。 見てください、この大きな字を。 12 何のために、例の教師たちがあなたがたをくどいて割礼（男子が生まれて八日目にその生殖器の包皮を切り取る儀式）を受けさせようと図るのか、わかりますか。 その理由は、ただ一つです。 すなわち、そのようにして人気を得、迫害を免れたいのです。 その迫害とは、キリスト様の十字架が唯一の救いの道であると認めるなら、必ず受けるものなのです。 13 そうした割礼を主張する教師たちも、それ以外のユダヤ教のおきては守ろうとしません。 そのくせ、あなたがたに割礼を強要するのは、弟子をふやして誇るためなのです。
14 しかし私に関するかぎり、主イエス・キリストの十字架のほかに、誇るものなど、決してあってはなりません。 この十字架によって、私は、この世の魅力的なものすべてに対して、ずっと以前に興味を失ってしまいました。 そしてこの世も、私に対する興味をすっかり失ってしまったのです。 15 割礼を受けているかいないかは、今や、全然問題ではありません。 大切なのは、私たちがほんとうに別の新しい人に造り変えられているかどうか、ということです。
16 どうか、この原則に従って生きるあなたがたに、また、真に神様のものとなった、至る所のクリスチャンにも、神様のあわれみと平安がありますように。 17 二度と、こんな問題で論じ合わないようにしたいものです。 私の体には、イエス様に敵対する者からむち打たれ、傷つけられた跡が残っていますが、それこそ、キリスト様の奴隷であることの、しるしなのですから。
18 愛する皆さん。 どうか、主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがた一同と共にありますように。 アーメン。

Galatians 6
1 Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.3 For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.4 But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor.5 For each man shall bear his own burden.6 But let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.8 For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.9 And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.11 See with how large letters I write unto you with mine own hand.12 As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.13 For not even they who receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.14 But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world.15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.16 And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.17 Henceforth, let no man trouble me; for I bear branded on my body the marks of Jesus.18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.
