1 アダムの系図は次のとおりである。神が人を創造された時、神をかたどって造り、2 彼らを男と女とに創造された。彼らが創造された時、神は彼らを祝福して、その名をアダムと名づけられた。3 アダムは百三十歳になって、自分にかたどり、自分のかたちのような男の子を生み、その名をセツと名づけた。4 アダムがセツを生んで後、生きた年は八百年であって、ほかに男子と女子を生んだ。5 アダムの生きた年は合わせて九百三十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。6 セツは百五歳になって、エノスを生んだ。7 セツはエノスを生んだ後、八百七年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。8 セツの年は合わせて九百十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。9 エノスは九十歳になって、カイナンを生んだ。10 エノスはカイナンを生んだ後、八百十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。11 エノスの年は合わせて九百五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。12 カイナンは七十歳になって、マハラレルを生んだ。13 カイナンはマハラレルを生んだ後、八百四十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。14 カイナンの年は合わせて九百十歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。15 マハラレルは六十五歳になって、ヤレドを生んだ。16 マハラレルはヤレドを生んだ後、八百三十年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。17 マハラレルの年は合わせて八百九十五歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。18 ヤレドは百六十二歳になって、エノクを生んだ。19 ヤレドはエノクを生んだ後、八百年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。20 ヤレドの年は合わせて九百六十二歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。21 エノクは六十五歳になって、メトセラを生んだ。22 エノクはメトセラを生んだ後、三百年、神とともに歩み、男子と女子を生んだ。23 エノクの年は合わせて三百六十五歳であった。24 エノクは神とともに歩み、神が彼を取られたので、いなくなった。25 メトセラは百八十七歳になって、レメクを生んだ。26 メトセラはレメクを生んだ後、七百八十二年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。27 メトセラの年は合わせて九百六十九歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。28 レメクは百八十二歳になって、男の子を生み、29 「この子こそ、主が地をのろわれたため、骨折り働くわれわれを慰めるもの」と言って、その名をノアと名づけた。30 レメクはノアを生んだ後、五百九十五年生きて、男子と女子を生んだ。31 レメクの年は合わせて七百七十七歳であった。そして彼は死んだ。32 ノアは五百歳になって、セム、ハム、ヤペテを生んだ。

From Adam to Noah

1 This is the recordt of the family linet of Adam.
When God created humankind,t he made themt in the likeness of God.

2 He created them male and female; when they were created, he blessed them and named them “humankind.”t
3 Whent Adam had lived 130 years he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and he named him Seth.4 The length of time Adam livedt after he became the father of Seth was 800 years; during this time he hadt othert sons and daughters.

5 The entire lifetimet of Adam was 930 years, and then he died.s
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the fathert of Enosh.7 Seth lived 807 years after he became the father of Enosh, and he hadt othert sons and daughters.

8 The entire lifetime of Seth was 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.10 Enosh lived 815 years after he became the father of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters.

11 The entire lifetime of Enosh was 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.13 Kenan lived 840 years after he became the father of Mahalalel, and he had other sons and daughters.

14 The entire lifetime of Kenan was 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.16 Mahalalel lived 830 years after he became the father of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters.

17 The entire lifetime of Mahalalel was 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.19 Jared lived 800 years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters.

20 The entire lifetime of Jared was 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with Gods for 300 years,t and he had othert sons and daughters.23 The entire lifetime of Enoch was 365 years.

24 Enoch walked with God, and then he disappearedt because God tooks him away.
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.26 Methuselah lived 782 years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had othert sons and daughters.

27 The entire lifetime of Methuselah was 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son.29 He named him Noah,s saying, “This one will bring us comfortt from our labor and from the painful toil of our hands because of the ground that the Lord has cursed.”30 Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah, and he had othert sons and daughters.

31 The entire lifetime of Lamech was 777 years, and then he died.

32 After Noah was 500 years old, het became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
