1 Бог, който много пъти и с много начини говори в старо време на нашите отци чрез пророците,2 в тези последните дни говори нам чрез Сина, когото постави наследник на всичко, чрез когото и света направи;3 който, като е сияние на неговата слава, и образ на неговото същество, и държи всичко със словото на своята си сила, от как направи чрез себе си очищение на греховете ни седна отдясно на величието на високо,4 и стана толкоз по-горен от ангелите колкото по-славно над тях име наследова.5 Защото кому от ангелите рече някога: "Ти си мой Син, аз днес те родих;" и пак: "Аз ще му бъда Отец, и той ще ми бъде Син"?6 А когато пък въвожда Първороднаго във вселенната казва: "И да му се поклонят всичките ангели Божии."7 И за ангелите казва: "Който прави ангелите си духове и слугите си пламик огнен.8 А за Сина казва: "Твоят престол е, Боже, във век века: скиптърът на твоето царство е скиптър на правдата;9 възлюбил си правдина, и възненавидял си беззаконие; за това те помаза, Боже, твоят Бог с елей на радост повече от твоите съучастници;"10 и пак: "В начале ти, Господи, си основал земята, и дело на твоите ръце са небесата:11 те ще погинат, а ти пребиваваш; и всичките като дреха ще овехтеят,12 и като одежда ще ги свиеш, и ще се изменят; а ти си все истий, и твоите години няма да се свършат."13 И кому от ангелите е рекъл някога: "Седни отдясно ми докле положа враговете ти подножие на нозете ти"?14 Не са ли те всички служебни духове, проваждаеми да слугуват на тези които ще наследват спасение?

Introduction: God Has Spoken Fully and Finally in His Son
1 After God spoke long agot in various portionst and in various wayst to our ancestorst through the prophets,2 in these last days he has spoken to us in a son,ts whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.t3 The Son ist the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word,t and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.s
4 Thus he becamet so far better than the angels asts he has inherited a name superior to theirs.
The Son Is Superior to Angels
5 For to which of the angels did Godt ever say, “You are my son! Today I have fathered you”?ts And in another placet he says,t “I will be his father and he will be my son.”ts6 But when he again bringst his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!”s7 And he sayss of the angels, “He makesthis angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire,”s
8 but oft the Son he says,t
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,t
and a righteous sceptertis the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness.
So God, your God, has anointed you over your companionsswith the oil of rejoicing.”s
10 And,
“You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord,s
and the heavens are the works of your hands.
11 They will perish, but you continue.
And they will all grow old like a garment,
12 and like a robe you will fold them up
and like a garmentsssthey will be changed,
but you are the same and your years will never run out.”s
13 But to which of the angelss has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?s
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve thoset who will inherit salvation?
