Послание к Евреям 1
1 Многочастне и многообразне древле Бог глаголавый отцем во пророцех,2 в последок дний сих глагола нам в Сыне, егоже положи наследника всем, имже и веки сотвори.3 Иже сый сияние славы и образ ипостаси его, нося же всяческая глаголголом силы своея, собою очищение сотворив грехов наших, седе о десную престола величествия на высоких,4 толико лучший быв ангелов, елико преславнее паче их наследствова имя.5 Кому бо рече когда от ангел: Сын мой еси ты, аз днесь родих тя? И паки: аз буду ему во Отца, и той будет мне в Сына?6 Егда же паки вводит первороднаго во вселенную, глаголет: и да поклонятся ему вси ангели Божии.7 И ко ангелом убо глаголет: творяй ангелы своя духи и слуги своя огнь палящь.8 К Сыну же: престол твой, Боже, в век века: жезл правости жезл Царствия твоего:9 возлюбил еси правду и возненавидел еси беззаконие: сего ради помаза тя, Боже, Бог твой елеем радости паче причастник твоих.10 И (паки): в начале ты, Господи, землю основал еси, и дела руку твоею суть небеса:11 та погибнут, ты же пребываеши: и вся, якоже риза, обетшают,12 и яко одежду свиеши их, и изменятся: ты же тойжде еси, и лета твоя не оскудеют.13 Кому же от ангел рече когда: седи о десную мене, дондеже положу враги твоя подножие ног твоих?14 Не вси ли суть служебнии дуси, в служение посылаеми за хотящих наследовати спасение?

Introduction: God Has Spoken Fully and Finally in His Son
1 After God spoke long agot in various portionst and in various wayst to our ancestorst through the prophets,2 in these last days he has spoken to us in a son,ts whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.t3 The Son ist the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word,t and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.s
4 Thus he becamet so far better than the angels asts he has inherited a name superior to theirs.
The Son Is Superior to Angels
5 For to which of the angels did Godt ever say, “You are my son! Today I have fathered you”?ts And in another placet he says,t “I will be his father and he will be my son.”ts6 But when he again bringst his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!”s7 And he sayss of the angels, “He makesthis angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire,”s
8 but oft the Son he says,t
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,t
and a righteous sceptertis the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness.
So God, your God, has anointed you over your companionsswith the oil of rejoicing.”s
10 And,
“You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord,s
and the heavens are the works of your hands.
11 They will perish, but you continue.
And they will all grow old like a garment,
12 and like a robe you will fold them up
and like a garmentsssthey will be changed,
but you are the same and your years will never run out.”s
13 But to which of the angelss has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?s
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve thoset who will inherit salvation?
