Gott spricht durch seinen Sohn
1 Immer wieder hat Gott schon vor unserer Zeit auf vielfältige Art und Weise durch die Propheten zu unseren Vorfahren gesprochen.2 tDoch jetzt, in dieser letzten Zeit, sprach Gott durch seinen Sohn zu uns. Durch ihn schuf Gott Himmel und Erde, und ihn hat er auch zum Erben über alles eingesetzt.3 tIn dem Sohn zeigt sich die göttliche Herrlichkeit seines Vaters, denn er ist ganz und gar Gottes Ebenbild. Sein Wort ist die Kraft, die das Weltall zusammenhält. Durch seinen Tod hat er uns von der Last unserer Schuld befreit und nun den Ehrenplatz im Himmel eingenommen, an der rechten Seite Gottes, dem alle Macht gehört.
Christus - höher als die Engel
4 tGott hat Christus seinen Sohn genannt und ihn damit weit über alle Engel gestellt.5 tZu welchem Engel hätte Gott wohl jemals gesagt: »Du bist mein Sohn. Heute setze ich dich zum König ein«?t Und zu keinem Engel hat Gott je gesagt: »Ich werde sein Vater sein, und er wird mein Sohn sein.«t6 tAls Gott seinen erstgeborenen Sohn in diese Welt sandte, erfüllte sich das Wort: »Alle Engel sollen ihn anbeten.«t
7 Von den Engeln heißt es in der Heiligen Schrift: »Gottes Engel sind Boten, die schnell sind wie der Wind, und seine Diener sind wie die Flammen eines Feuers.«t8 Von dem Sohn aber heißt es: »Gott, deine Herrschaft bleibt immer und ewig bestehen. In deinem Reich herrscht die Gerechtigkeit.9 Denn du liebst das Recht und hasst das Unrecht. Darum hat dich dein Gott als Herrscher eingesetzt und mehr als alle anderen mit Freude beschenkt.«t
10 Christus ist gemeint, wenn gesagt wird: »Am Anfang hast du, Herr, alles geschaffen. Die Erde und der Himmel, alles ist das Werk deiner Hände.11 Sie werden vergehen, du aber bleibst. Wie alte Kleider werden sie zerfallen,12 wie ein abgetragenes Gewand wirst du sie zur Seite legen und sie wie alte Kleidung durch neue auswechseln. Du aber bleibst ein und derselbe, du wirst immer und ewig leben.«t
13 Oder hat Gott jemals zu einem Engel gesagt: »Setze dich auf den Ehrenplatz an meiner rechten Seite, bis ich dir alle deine Feinde unterworfen habe, bis du deinen Fuß auf ihren Nacken setzt«t?
14 tAlle Engel sind nur Wesen, die Gott dienen. Er sendet sie aus, damit sie allen helfen, denen er Rettung schenken will.
Hebrews 1
1 God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,2 hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds;3 who being the effulgence of his glory, and the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had made purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;4 having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they.5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? and again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?
6 And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels winds, And his ministers a flame a fire:
8 but of the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of thy hands:
11 They shall perish; but thou continuest: And they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
12 And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up, As a garment, and they shall be changed: But thou art the same, And thy years shall not fail.
13 But of which of the angels hath he said at any time, Sit thou on my right hand, Till I make thine enemies the footstool of thy feet?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to do service for the sake of them that shall inherit salvation?
