Ebrei 1

1 Iddio, dopo aver in molte volte e in molte maniere parlato anticamente ai padri per mezzo de’ profeti,2 in questi ultimi giorni ha parlato a noi mediante il suo Figliuolo, ch’Egli ha costituito erede di tutte le cose, mediante il quale pure ha creato i mondi;3 il quale, essendo lo splendore della sua gloria e l’impronta della sua essenza e sostenendo tutte le cose con la parola della sua potenza, quand’ebbe fatta la purificazione dei peccati, si pose a sedere alla destra della Maestà ne’ luoghi altissimi,4 diventato così di tanto superiore agli angeli, di quanto il nome che ha eredato è più eccellente del loro.5 Infatti, a qual degli angeli diss’Egli mai: Tu sei il mio Figliuolo, oggi ti ho generato? e di nuovo: Io gli sarò Padre ed egli mi sarà Figliuolo?6 E quando di nuovo introduce il Primogenito nel mondo, dice: Tutti gli angeli di Dio l’adorino!7 E mentre degli angeli dice: Dei suoi angeli Ei fa dei venti, e dei suoi ministri fiamme di fuoco,8 dice del Figliuolo: Il tuo trono, o Dio, è ne’ secoli dei secoli, e lo scettro di rettitudine è lo scettro del tuo regno.9 Tu hai amata la giustizia e hai odiata l’iniquità; perciò Dio, l’Iddio tuo, ha unto te d’olio di letizia, a preferenza dei tuoi compagni.10 E ancora: Tu, Signore, nel principio, fondasti la terra, e i cieli son opera delle tue mani.11 Essi periranno, ma tu dimori; invecchieranno tutti come un vestito,12 e li avvolgerai come un mantello, e saranno mutati; ma tu rimani lo stesso, e i tuoi anni non verranno meno.13 Ed a qual degli angeli diss’Egli mai: Siedi alla mia destra finché abbia fatto dei tuoi nemici lo sgabello dei tuoi piedi?14 Non sono eglino tutti spiriti ministratori, mandati a servire a pro di quelli che hanno da eredare la salvezza?

Hebrews 1

Introduction: God Has Spoken Fully and Finally in His Son

1 After God spoke long agot in various portionst and in various wayst to our ancestorst through the prophets,2 in these last days he has spoken to us in a son,ts whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.t3 The Son ist the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word,t and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.s

4 Thus he becamet so far better than the angels asts he has inherited a name superior to theirs.

The Son Is Superior to Angels

5 For to which of the angels did Godt ever say, “You are my son! Today I have fathered you”?ts And in another placet he says,t “I will be his father and he will be my son.”ts6 But when he again bringst his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!”s7 And he sayss of the angels, “He makesthis angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire,”s

8 but oft the Son he says,t
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,t
and a righteous sceptertis the scepter of your kingdom.

9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness.
So God, your God, has anointed you over your companionsswith the oil of rejoicing.”s

10 And,
“You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord,s
and the heavens are the works of your hands.

11 They will perish, but you continue.
And they will all grow old like a garment,

12 and like a robe you will fold them up
and like a garmentsssthey will be changed,
but you are the same and your years will never run out.”s
13 But to which of the angelss has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?s

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve thoset who will inherit salvation?
