Hebreos 1

1 Dios, habiendo hablado hace mucho tiempo, en muchas ocasiones y de muchas maneras a los padres por los profetas,2 en estos últimos días nos ha hablado por su Hijo, a quien constituyó heredero de todas las cosas, por medio de quien hizo también el universo.3 El es el resplandor de su gloria y la expresión exacta de su naturaleza, y sostiene todas las cosas por la palabra de su poder. Después de llevar a cabo la purificación de los pecados, se sentó a la diestra de la Majestad en las alturas,

4 siendo mucho mejor que los ángeles, por cuanto ha heredado un nombre más excelente que ellos.
5 Porque ¿a cuál de los ángeles dijo Dios jamás: Hijo mio eres tu, yo te he engendrado hoy; y otra vez: Yo sere Padre para El, y El sera Hijo para mi?6 Y de nuevo, cuando trae al Primogénito al mundo, dice: Y adorenle todos los angeles de Dios.7 Y de los ángeles dice: El que hace a sus angeles, espiritus, y a sus ministros, llama de fuego.8 Pero del Hijo dice: Tu trono, oh Dios, es por los siglos de los siglos, y cetro de equidad es el cetro de tu reino.9 Has amado la justicia y aborrecido la iniquidad; por lo cual Dios, tu Dios, te ha ungido con oleo de alegria mas que a tus compañeros.10 Y: Tu, Señor, en el principio pusiste los cimientos de la tierra, y los cielos son obra de tus manos;11 Ellos pereceran, pero tu permaneces; y todos ellos como una vestidura se envejeceran,12 y como un manto los enrollaras; como una vestidura seran mudados. Pero tu eres el mismo, y tus años no tendran fin.13 Pero, ¿a cuál de los ángeles ha dicho jamás: Sientate a mi diestra hasta que ponga a tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies?14 ¿No son todos ellos espíritus ministradores, enviados para servir por causa de los que heredarán la salvación?

Introduction: God Has Spoken Fully and Finally in His Son

1 After God spoke long agot in various portionst and in various wayst to our ancestorst through the prophets,2 in these last days he has spoken to us in a son,ts whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he created the world.t3 The Son ist the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, and he sustains all things by his powerful word,t and so when he had accomplished cleansing for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.s

4 Thus he becamet so far better than the angels asts he has inherited a name superior to theirs.

The Son Is Superior to Angels

5 For to which of the angels did Godt ever say, “You are my son! Today I have fathered you”?ts And in another placet he says,t “I will be his father and he will be my son.”ts6 But when he again bringst his firstborn into the world, he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him!”s7 And he sayss of the angels, “He makesthis angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire,”s

8 but oft the Son he says,t
“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever,t
and a righteous sceptertis the scepter of your kingdom.

9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness.
So God, your God, has anointed you over your companionsswith the oil of rejoicing.”s

10 And,
“You founded the earth in the beginning, Lord,s
and the heavens are the works of your hands.

11 They will perish, but you continue.
And they will all grow old like a garment,

12 and like a robe you will fold them up
and like a garmentsssthey will be changed,
but you are the same and your years will never run out.”s
13 But to which of the angelss has he ever said, “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?s

14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve thoset who will inherit salvation?
