希伯来书 10

1 既然律法只不过是未来美好事物的影子，不是本体的真像，就不能藉着每年常献一样的祭物，使那些进前来的人完全。 2 若不然，献祭的事岂不早已停止了吗？因为敬拜的人仅只一次洁净，良心就不再觉得有罪了。 3 但是这些祭物使人每年都想起罪来， 4 因为公牛和山羊的血不能除罪。

5 所以，基督到世上来的时候，就说： “祭物和礼物不是你所要的， 但你曾给我预备了身体。

6 燔祭和赎罪祭 是你不喜欢的。

7 那时我说： 看哪！我来了，我的事在经卷上已经记载了； 上帝啊！我来为要照你的旨意行。”

8 以上说：“祭物和礼物，以及燔祭和赎罪祭，不是你所要的，也不是你喜欢的。”这都是按着律法献的。 9 他接着说：“看哪！我来了，为要照你的旨意行。”可见他除去在先的，为要立定在后的。 10 我们凭着这旨意，藉着耶稣基督，仅只一次献上他的身体就得以成圣。 11 所有的祭司天天站着事奉上帝，屡次献上一样的祭物，这祭物永不能除罪。 12 但基督献了一次永远有效的赎罪祭，就坐在上帝的右边， 13 从此等候他的仇敌成为他的脚凳。 14 因为他仅只一次献祭，就使那些得以成圣的人永远完全。

15 圣灵也对我们作证，因为他说过：

16 “主说：那些日子以后， 我与他们所立的约是这样的： 我要将我的律法放在他们的心上， 又要写在他们的心思里。”

17 并说： “他们的罪恶和他们的过犯， 我绝不再记得。”

18 这些罪过既已蒙赦免，就不用再为罪献祭了。

劝勉和警告

19 所以，弟兄们，既然我们靠着耶稣的血得以坦然进入至圣所， 20 是藉着他给我们开了一条又新又活的路，从幔子经过，这幔子就是他的身体。 21 既然我们有一位伟大祭司治理上帝的家， 22 那么，我们该用诚心和充足的信心，同已蒙洁净、无亏的良心，和清水洗净了的身体来亲近上帝。 23 我们要坚守所宣认的指望，毫不动摇，因为应许我们的那位是信实的。 24 我们要彼此相顾，激发爱心，勉励行善； 25 不可停止聚会，好像那些停止惯了的人，倒要彼此劝勉，既然知道那日子临近，就更当如此。

26 如果我们领受真理的知识以后仍故意犯罪，就不再有赎罪的祭物， 27 惟有战战兢兢等候审判和那将吞灭众敌人的烈火了。 28 任何人干犯摩西的律法，凭两个或三个证人，尚且必须处死，不得宽赦， 29 更何况践踏上帝儿子的人，他们将那使他成圣之约的血当作不洁净，又亵慢施恩的圣灵的人，你们想，他不该受更严厉的惩罚吗？ 30 因为我们知道谁说： “伸冤在我， 我必报应。” 又说： “主要审判他的百姓。”

31 落在永生上帝的手里真是可怕呀！ 32 你们要追念往日；你们蒙了光照以后，忍受了许多痛苦的挣扎： 33 一面在众人面前公然被毁谤，遭患难；一面陪伴那些受这样苦难的人。 34 你们同情那些遭监禁的人，也欣然忍受你们的家业被人抢去，因为你们知道自己有更美好更长存的家业。 35 所以，不可丢弃你们无惧的心，存这样的心必得大赏赐。 36 你们必须忍耐，使你们行完了上帝的旨意，可以获得所应许的。 37 因为 “还有一点点时候， 那要来的就来，必不迟延。

38 只是我的义人必因信得生； 他若退缩，我心就不喜欢他。”

39 我们却不是退缩以致沉沦的那等人，而是有信心以致得生命的人。

HEBREWS 10

1 The Law of Moses is like a shadow of the good things to come. This shadow isn't the good things themselves, because it cannot free people from sin by the sacrifices offered year after year. 2 If there were worshipers who already have their sins washed away and their consciences made clear, there would not be any need to go on offering sacrifices.

3-4 But the blood of bulls and goats cannot take away sins. It only reminds people of their sins from one year to the next.

5  t When Christ came into the world, he said to God,
“Sacrifices and offerings
are not what you want,
but you have given me
my body.

6 No, you are not pleased
with animal sacrifices
and offerings for sin.”

7 Then Christ said,
“And so, my God,
I have come to do
what you want,
as the Scriptures say.”
8 The Law teaches that offerings and sacrifices must be made because of sin. But why did Christ mention these things and say that God did not want them? 9 Well, it was to do away with offerings and sacrifices and to replace them. This is what he meant by saying to God, “I have come to do what you want.”

10 So we are made holy because Christ obeyed God and offered himself once for all.
11  t The priests do their work each day, and they keep on offering sacrifices that can never take away sins. 12 t But Christ offered himself as a sacrifice that is good forever. Now he is sitting at God's right side, t 13 and he will stay there until his enemies are put under his power.

14 By his one sacrifice he has forever set free from sin the people he brings to God.

15 The Holy Spirit also speaks of this by telling us that the Lord said,

16  t “When the time comes,
I will make an agreement
with them.
I will write my laws
on their minds and hearts.

17  t Then I will forget
about their sins
and no longer remember
their evil deeds.”

18 When sins are forgiven, there is no more need to offer sacrifices.

Encouragement and Warning

19 My friends, the blood of Jesus gives us courage to enter the most holy place

20 by a new way that leads to life! And this way takes us through the curtain that is Christ himself.
21 We have a great high priest who is in charge of God's house. 22 t So let's come near God with pure hearts and a confidence that comes from having faith. Let's keep our hearts pure, our consciences free from evil, and our bodies washed with clean water. 23 We must hold tightly to the hope we say is ours. After all, we can trust the one who made the agreement with us. 24 We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things.

25 Some people have given up the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord's coming is getting closer.
26 No sacrifices can be made for people who decide to sin after they find out about the truth. 27 t They are God's enemies, and all they can look forward to is a terrible judgment and a furious fire. 28 t If two or more witnesses accused someone of breaking the Law of Moses, that person could be put to death. 29 t But it is much worse to dishonor God's Son and to disgrace the blood of the promise that made us holy. And it is just as bad to insult the Holy Spirit, who shows us mercy. 30 t We know that God has said he will punish and take revenge. We also know that the Scriptures say the Lord will judge his people.

31 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God!
32 Don't forget all the hard times you went through when you first received the light. 33 Sometimes you were abused and mistreated in public, and at other times you shared in the sufferings of others.

34 You were kind to people in jail. And you gladly let your possessions be taken away, because you knew you had something better, something that would last forever.
35 Keep on being brave! It will bring you great rewards. 36 Learn to be patient, so you will please God and be given what he has promised.

37 t As the Scriptures say,
“God is coming soon!
It won't be very long.

38 The people God accepts
will live because
of their faith.t
But he isn't pleased
with anyone
who turns back.”
39 We are not like those people who turn back and get destroyed. We will keep on having faith until we are saved.
