Aux Hébreux 13

1  tQue l’affection fraternelle demeure. 2 tN’oubliez pas l’hospitalité : il en est qui, en l’exerçant, ont à leur insu logé des anges.

3 tSouvenez-vous des prisonniers, comme si vous étiez en prison avec eux, et de ceux qui sont maltraités, puisque vous aussi, vous êtes dans un corps.

4  tQue le mariage soit honoré de tous, et le lit conjugal exempt de souillure : Dieu jugera ceux qui se livrent à l’inconduite sexuelle et à l’adultère.
5  tQue votre conduite ne soit pas inspirée par l’amour de l’argent ; contentez-vous de ce que vous avez, car il a dit lui-même :Je ne te délaisserai jamais, je ne t’abandonnerai jamais.

6 tC’est pourquoi nous pouvons dire avec courage :
Le Seigneur est mon secours ; je n’aurai pas peur.
Que peut me faire un être humain ?
7  tSouvenez-vous de ceux qui vous dirigent, qui vous ont dit la parole de Dieu ; regardez l’issue de leur vie et imitez leur foi.

8 tJésus-Christ est le même hier, aujourd’hui et pour toujours.
9  tNe vous laissez pas entraîner par toutes sortes d’enseignements étrangers. Il est bien, en effet, que le cœur soit affermi par la grâce, et non pas par des aliments qui n’ont servi de rien à ceux qui en font une question d’observance. 10 tNous avons un autel dont ils n’ont pas le droit de tirer leur nourriture, ceux qui célèbrent le culte dans la tente.

11 tEn effet, les corps des animaux dont le sang a été apporté par le grand prêtre dans le sanctuaire, pour le péché, sont brûlés hors du camp.
12  tC’est pourquoi Jésus aussi, pour consacrer le peuple par son propre sang, a souffert hors de la porte de la ville. 13 tSortons donc hors du camp pour aller à lui, en portant son humiliation. 14 tCar nous n’avons pas ici de cité qui demeure, mais nous cherchons celle qui est à venir. 15 tPar lui, offrons donc sans cesse à Dieu un sacrifice de louange, c’est-à-dire le fruit de lèvres qui reconnaissent publiquement son nom.

16 tCependant, n’oubliez pas la bienfaisance et la solidarité, car c’est à de tels sacrifices que Dieu prend plaisir.

17  tObéissez à ceux qui vous dirigent et soyez-leur soumis : ils veillent sur vous, sachant qu’ils auront des comptes à rendre. Qu’ils puissent le faire, non pas en soupirant, ce qui ne serait pas à votre avantage, mais avec joie.
18  tPriez pour nous ; nous sommes en effet persuadés d’avoir une bonne conscience, avec la volonté de nous bien conduire à tous égards.

19 tJe vous encourage instamment à le faire, pour que je vous sois rendu plus tôt.

Epilogue

21 tvous forme en tout ce qui est bon pour faire sa volonté ; qu’il fasse en nous ce qui lui est agréable par Jésus-Christ, à qui soit la gloire à tout jamais !Amen !
22  tJe vous demande, mes frères, de supporter cette parole d’encouragement ; car je vous ai écrit brièvement.

23 tSachez que notre frère Timothée a été relâché. S’il arrive assez tôt, j’irai vous voir avec lui.

24  tSaluez tous ceux qui vous dirigent, ainsi que tous les saints. Ceux d’Italie vous saluent.
25  tQue la grâce soit avec vous tous !

Hebrews 13

1 Let love of the brethren continue.2 Forget not to show love unto strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them that are illtreated, as being yourselves also in the body.4 Let marriage be had in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.5 Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee.6 So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

7 Remember them that had the rule over you, men that spake unto you the word of God; and considering the issue of their life, imitate their faith.8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to-day, yea and for ever.9 Be not carried away by divers and strange teachings: for it is good that the heart be established by grace; not by meats, wherein they that occupied themselves were not profited.10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat that serve the tabernacle.11 For the bodies of those beasts whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned without the camp.12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered without the gate.13 Let us therefore go forth unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.14 For we have not here an abiding city, but we seek after the city which is to come.15 Through him then let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which make confession to his name.16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit to them: for they watch in behalf of your souls, as they that shall give account; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief: for this were unprofitable for you.18 Pray for us: for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.19 And I exhort you the more exceedingly to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.20 Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, even our Lord Jesus,21 make you perfect in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.22 But I exhort you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written unto you in few words.23 Know ye that our brother Timothy hath been set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.24 Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
