HEBREOS 6
1 Así que sigamos adelante hasta llegar a ser adultos, dejando atrás las primeras enseñanzas acerca de Cristo. No volvamos otra vez a asuntos elementales,t como la conversión y el abandono de las obras que llevan a la muerte, o como la fe en Dios, 2 las enseñanzas sobre el bautismo,t el imponer las manost a los creyentes, la resurrección de los muertos y el juicio eterno.
3 Es lo que haremos, si Dios lo permite.
4 Porque a los que una vez recibieron la luz,t y saborearon el don de Dios, y tuvieron parte en el Espíritu Santo 5 y saborearon el buen mensaje de Dios y el poder del mundo venidero, 6 si caen de nuevo no se les puede hacer volver a Dios, porque ellos mismos están crucificando otra vez al Hijo de Dios y exponiéndolo a la burla de todos.t 7 Son como la tierra empapada de la lluvia que la riega: si da una cosecha útil a quienes la trabajan, recibe la bendición de Dios;
8 pero si da espinos y cardos, no sirve para nada, sino que cae bajo la maldición de Dios y finalmente será quemada.t
9 Pero aunque hablamos así, queridos hermanos, estamos seguros de que vosotros os encontráis en el primer caso, es decir, en camino de salvación. 10 Porque Dios es justo y no olvidará lo que habéis hecho y el amor que le habéis mostrado al ayudar a los hermanos en la fe, como aún lo estáis haciendo.t 11 Pero deseamos que cada uno de vosotros siga mostrando hasta el fin ese mismo entusiasmo, para que se realice completamente vuestra esperanza.
12 No queremos que os volváis perezosos, sino que sigáis el ejemplo de quienes por medio de la fe y la constancia están recibiendo la herencia que Dios les ha prometido.Promesa y juramento
13 Cuando Dios hizo la promesa a Abraham, juró por su propia vida porque no había otro superior a él por quien jurar, 14 y dijo: “Sí, yo te bendeciré mucho y haré que tu descendencia sea numerosa.”t 15 Abraham esperó con paciencia y recibió lo que Dios le había prometido. 16 Cuando los hombres hacen un juramento, lo hacen por alguien superior a ellos mismos; y cuando garantizan algo mediante un juramento, ya no queda nada por discutir. 17 Pues bien, Dios quiso mostrar claramente a quienes habían de recibir la herencia que él les prometía, que estaba dispuesto a cumplir la promesa sin cambiar nada de ella. Por eso garantizó su promesa mediante el juramento. 18 De estas dos cosast que no pueden cambiarse y en las que Dios no puede mentir,t recibimos un firme consuelo quienes hemos buscado la protección de Dios y hemos confiado en la esperanza que él nos ha dado. 19 Esta esperanza mantiene firme y segura nuestra alma, lo mismo que el ancla mantiene firme el barco. Es una esperanza que ha penetrado hasta detrás del velot en el templo celestial, 20 donde antes entró Jesús para abrirnos camino, llegando él así a ser sumo sacerdote para siempre, de la misma clase que Melquisedec.t
Hebrews 6
1 Therefore we must progress beyondt the elementaryt instructions about Christt and move ont to maturity, not laying this foundation again: repentance from dead works and faith in God,2 teaching about baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.3 And this is what we intend to do,t if God permits.4 For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit,5 tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age,6 and then have committed apostasy,t to renew them again to repentance, sincet they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves all over againt and holding him up to contempt.7 For the ground that has soaked up the rain that frequently falls ont it and yields useful vegetation for those who tend it receives a blessing from God.8 But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is useless and about to be cursed;t its fate is to be burned.9 But in your case, dear friends, even though we speak like this, we are convinced of better things relating to salvation.10 For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name, in having served and continuing to serve the saints.11 But we passionately want each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of your hope until the end,
12 so that you may not be sluggish,t but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises.
13 Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,14 saying, “Surely I will bless you greatly and multiply your descendants abundantly.”ts15 And so by persevering, Abrahamt inherited the promise.16 For peoplet swear by something greater than themselves,t and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute.t17 In the same wayt God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable,t and so he intervened with an oath,18 so that we who have found refuge in himt may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, sure and steadfast, which reaches inside behind the curtain,s
20 where Jesus our forerunner entered on our behalf, since he became a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.s
