Evrei 6

1 De aceea, lăsați aspectele elementare ale adevărului despre Cristos și să ne îndreptăm spre maturitate! Să nu mai punem din nou temelia pocăinței de faptele moarte și credința în Dumnezeu,2 învățătura despre botezuri, punerea mâinilor, învierea morților și judecata veșnică.3 Vom face aceasta dacă va permite Dumnezeu.4 Căci este imposibil pentru cei ce odată au fost luminați, au gustat darul ceresc, au devenit părtași ai Duhului Sfânt5 și au gustat Cuvântul cel bun al lui Dumnezeu și puterile veacului care va să vină,6 și care totuși au căzut, să fie aduși înapoi la pocăință, întrucât ei Îl răstignesc din nou pe Fiul lui Dumnezeu și-L fac de ocară.7 Când pământul absoarbe ploaia care, deseori, cade pe el și dă plante care sunt folositoare celor pentru care este cultivat, el primește binecuvântarea de la Dumnezeu.8 Dacă însă dă spini și mărăcini, atunci nu este de nici un folos și urmează să fie blestemat; sfârșitul lui va fi în foc.

9 Chiar dacă vorbim astfel, preaiubiților, suntem convinși, în ce vă privește, de lucruri mai bune și care însoțesc mântuirea.10 Căci Dumnezeu nu este nedrept ca să uite lucrarea voastră și dragostea pe care ați arătat-o pentru Numele Lui, faptul că i-ați slujit pe sfinți și continuați s-o faceți.11 Dorim mult ca fiecare dintre voi să arate aceeași sârguință până la sfârșit, astfel încât să se împlinească ceea ce nădăjduiți.12 Să nu fiți leneși, ci fiți imitatori ai celor ce, prin credință și răbdare, moștenesc promisiunile!

Garanția promisiunii lui Dumnezeu

13 Când Dumnezeu i-a făcut o promisiune lui Avraam, pentru că nu avea pe nimeni mai mare pe care să jure, a jurat pe Sine Însuși,14 spunând: „Te voi binecuvânta cu adevărat și-ți voi înmulți foarte mult urmașii .“t15 Și astfel, fiindcă a așteptat cu răbdare, a obținut promisiunea.16 Oamenii jură pe cineva mai mare decât ei, iar un jurământ, care face cunoscut faptul că un lucru este adevărat și sigur, pune capăt oricăror dispute dintre ei.17 În același fel, când Dumnezeu a vrut să le arate mai clar moștenitorilor promisiunii caracterul neschimbător al planului Său, El a garantat acest lucru printr-un jurământ,18 pentru ca, prin două lucruri neschimbătoare, în care este imposibil ca Dumnezeu să fie găsit mincinos, noi să avem siguranță și astfel să fim puternic încurajați să punem mâna pe nădejdea care ne stă înainte.19 Avem această nădejde ca pe o ancoră pentru suflet, fermă și sigură, și care pătrunde în partea dinăuntru, dincolo de draperiet20 unde, pentru a ne arăta calea, Isus, Care a intrat înaintea noastră, a intrat pentru noi. El a devenit Mare Preot pentru totdeauna, potrivit rânduielii lui Melhisedek.

HEBREWS 6

1 We must try to become mature and start thinking about more than just the basic things we were taught about Christ. We shouldn't need to keep talking about why we ought to turn from deeds that bring death and why we ought to have faith in God. 2 And we shouldn't need to keep teaching about baptismst or about the laying on of handst or about people being raised from death and the future judgment.

3 Let's grow up, if God is willing.

4-6 But what about people who turn away after they have already seen the light and have received the gift from heaven and have shared in the Holy Spirit? What about those who turn away after they have received the good message of God and the powers of the future world? There is no way to bring them back. What they are doing is the same as nailing the Son of God to a cross and insulting him in public!
7 A field is useful to farmers, if there is enough rain to make good crops grow. In fact, God will bless such a field.

8 t But land that produces only thornbushes is worthless. It is likely to fall under God's curse, and in the end it will be set on fire.
9 My friends, we are talking this way. But we are sure that you are doing those really good things people do when they are being saved. 10 God is always fair. He will remember how you helped his people in the past and how you are still helping them. You belong to God, and he won't forget the love you have shown his people. 11 We wish each of you would always be eager to show how strong and lasting your hope really is.

12 Then you would never be lazy. You would be following the example of those who had faith and were patient until God kept his promise to them.

God's Promise Is Sure

18 God cannot tell lies! And so his promises and vows are two things that can never be changed.
We have run to God for safety. Now his promises should greatly encourage us to take hold of the hope that is right in front of us. 19 t This hope is like a firm and steady anchor for our souls. In fact, hope reaches behind the curtaint and into the most holy place. 20 t Jesus has gone there ahead of us, and he is our high priest forever, just like Melchizedek.t
