ฮีบรู 6
1 เพราะฉะนั้นขอให้เราผ่านหลักคำสอนเบื้องต้นเกี่ยวกับพระคริสต์ ไปสู่ความเป็นผู้ใหญ่ โดยไม่วางรากฐานซ้ำอีก คือเรื่องการกลับใจจากการประพฤติที่นำไปสู่ความตาย และเรื่องความเชื่อในพระเจ้า 2 และคำสอนเรื่องพิธีล้างชำระต่างๆt การวางมือ การเป็นขึ้นจากความตาย และการลงโทษชั่วนิรันดร์ 3 ถ้าพระเจ้าทรงอนุญาต เราก็จะได้เดินหน้าต่อไปt 4 เพราะว่าคนเหล่านั้นที่ได้รับความสว่างมาครั้งหนึ่งแล้ว และได้ลิ้มรสของประทานจากสวรรค์ ได้มีส่วนร่วมในพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ 5 และได้ลิ้มรสความดีงามแห่งพระวจนะของพระเจ้า และฤทธิ์เดชแห่งยุคที่จะมาถึงนั้น 6 แล้วยังหลงไป ก็เหลือวิสัยที่จะนำพวกเขามาสู่การกลับใจอีกได้ เพราะพวกเขาเองได้ตรึงพระบุตรของพระเจ้าอีกt และได้ประจานพระองค์ให้อับอายต่อสาธารณชน 7 เพราะว่าพื้นดินที่ได้รับน้ำฝนอยู่เสมอt และทำให้เกิดพืชผักอันเป็นประโยชน์แก่คนที่เพาะปลูก ก็ได้รับพระพรจากพระเจ้า 8 แต่ถ้าพื้นดินนั้นผลิตต้นหนามใหญ่และหนามย่อย มันก็ไร้ค่าจนเกือบจะถูกแช่งสาปt แล้วในที่สุดก็จะถูกเผาไฟ
9 แต่ท่านที่รักทั้งหลาย แม้พวกเราจะพูดอย่างนั้นเราก็เชื่อแน่ว่า ในกรณีของพวกท่านนั้นมีสิ่งที่ดีกว่า นั่นก็คือสิ่งที่เกี่ยวกับความรอด 10 เพราะว่าพระเจ้าไม่ทรงอธรรมที่จะทรงลืมการงานของพวกท่านและความรักที่พวกท่านแสดงต่อพระนามของพระองค์ คือการปรนนิบัติพวกธรรมิกชนนั้น ดังที่พวกท่านยังปรนนิบัติอยู่ 11 และเราปรารถนาให้ท่านแต่ละคนแสดงความกระตือรือร้นอย่างเดียวกันจนถึงที่สุด เพื่อจะพบความสำเร็จตามที่หวังไว้ 12 เพื่อไม่ให้พวกท่านเป็นคนเฉื่อยช้า แต่ให้เลียนแบบคนเหล่านั้นที่โดยทางความเชื่อและความอดทน จึงได้รับสิ่งที่ทรงสัญญาไว้เป็นมรดกt
พระสัญญาอันแน่นอน
13 เพราะเมื่อพระเจ้าทรงสัญญากับอับราฮัมนั้น โดยเหตุที่ไม่มีใครเป็นใหญ่กว่าพระองค์ที่พระองค์จะทรงอ้างได้ในการสาบาน พระองค์ก็ทรงสาบานโดยอ้างพระองค์เอง 14 คือตรัสว่า“เราจะอวยพรเจ้า และจะให้เจ้าทวีมากขึ้นอย่างแน่นอน”t 15 เช่นนั้นแหละ เมื่ออับราฮัมได้อดทนคอยแล้ว ท่านก็ได้รับสิ่งที่ทรงสัญญาไว้นั้นt 16 ส่วนมนุษย์นั้นสาบานโดยอ้างผู้ที่เป็นใหญ่กว่าตน และเมื่อเกิดการทุ่มเถียงอะไรก็ตาม ก็ต้องถือคำสาบานนั้นเป็นคำยืนยันขั้นสุดท้าย 17 ฉะนั้นเมื่อพระเจ้าทรงประสงค์จะแสดงให้บรรดาผู้ที่ได้รับสิ่งที่ทรงสัญญาไว้เป็นมรดกtรู้แน่ยิ่งขึ้นว่าพระดำริของพระองค์จะไม่เปลี่ยนแปลง พระองค์จึงได้ทรงยืนยันพระสัญญานั้นด้วยคำสาบาน 18 เพื่อว่าโดยพระสัญญาและคำสาบานที่tเปลี่ยนแปลงไม่ได้ เพราะพระเจ้าตรัสมุสาไม่ได้ เราผู้ที่หนีไปยึดความหวังซึ่งมีอยู่ตรงหน้า จะได้รับการชูใจอย่างมากมาย 19 ความหวังที่เรายึดนั้นเป็นเสมือนสมอที่แน่นอนและมั่นคงของจิตใจ เป็นความหวังที่นำไปสู่อภิสุทธิสถานข้างหลังม่านt 20 ที่ที่พระเยซูผู้ทรงนำหน้าเสด็จเข้าไปก่อนแล้วเพื่อเรา เพราะพระองค์ทรงเป็นมหาปุโรหิตชั่วนิรันดร์ ตามแบบอย่างเมลคีเซเดคนั้นt
Hebrews 6
1 Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,2 of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.3 And this will we do, if God permit.4 For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.7 For the land which hath drunk the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receiveth blessing from God:8 but if it beareth thorns and thistles, it is rejected and nigh unto a curse; whose end is to be burned.9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak:10 for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.11 And we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence unto the fulness of hope even to the end:12 that ye be not sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.13 For when God made promise to Abraham, since he could swear by none greater, he sware by himself,14 saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.15 And thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.16 For men swear by the greater: and in every dispute of theirs the oath is final for confirmation.17 Wherein God, being minded to show more abundantly unto the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, interposed with an oath;18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us:19 which we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and stedfast and entering into that which is within the veil;20 whither as a forerunner Jesus entered for us, having become a high priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
