Ô-sê 1

1 Có lời Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Ô-sê, con trai Bê-ê-ri, về đời ô-xia, Giô-tham, A-cha, Ê-xê-chia là các vua của Giu-đa, và về đời Giê-rô-bô-am, con trai Giô-ách, vua Y-sơ-ra-ên.2 Khi Đức Giê-hô-va bắt đầu phán cùng Ô-sê, Đức Giê-hô-va bảo người rằng: Hãy đi, lấy một người vợ gian dâm, và con cái ngoại tình; vì đất nầy chỉ phạm sự tà dâm, lìa bỏ Đức Giê-hô-va.3 Vậy Ô-sê đi cưới Gô-me, con gái của Đíp-la-im. Nàng chịu thai và sanh cho người một trai.4 Bấy giờ Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng người rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Gít-rê-ên, vì còn ít lâu nữa, ta sẽ báo thù cho huyết của Gít-rê-ên nơi nhà Giê-hu, và sẽ dứt nước của nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên.5 Trong ngày đó, ta sẽ bẻ cung của Y-sơ-ra-ên trong trũng Gít-rê-ên.6 Nàng lại chịu thai và sanh một gái, thì Đức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Ô-sê rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Lô-Ru-ha-ma; vì ta sẽ không thương xót nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên nữa.7 Nhưng ta sẽ thương xót nhà Giu-đa; sẽ giải cứu chúng nó bởi Giê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời của chúng nó; và ta sẽ không cứu chúng nó bởi cung, hoặc bởi gươm, hoặc bởi chiến trận, hoặc bởi ngựa, hoặc bởi người cưỡi ngựa.8 Sau khi Lô-Ru-ha-ma thôi bú, nàng chịu thai và sanh một trai.9 Đức Giê-hô-va phán rằng: Hãy đặt tên nó là Lô-Am-mi; vì các ngươi chẳng phải là dân ta nữa, và ta sẽ không làm Đức Chúa Trời các ngươi nữa.10 Dầu vậy, số con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ giống như cát bờ biển, không thể lường, không thể đếm; và chính nơi mà đã bảo chúng nó rằng: Các ngươi chẳng phải là dân ta, sẽ lại bảo rằng: Các ngươi là con trai của Đức Chúa Trời hằng sống.11 Con cái Giu-đa và con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ hiệp nhau lại; sẽ lập cho mình một quan trưởng chung, và sẽ trở lên từ đất nầy, vì ngày của Gít-rê-ên sẽ là ngày lớn.

1 s This is the word of the Lord which was revealed to Hoseat son of Beeri during the time whent Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah ruled Judah,t and during the time when Jeroboam son of Joashs ruled Israel.t

2 When the Lord first spoket throught Hosea, het said to him,t “Go marryt a prostitutet who will bear illegitimate children conceived through prostitution,t because the nationt continually commits spiritual prostitutiont by turning away fromt the Lord.”3 So Hosea marriedt Gomer, the daughter of Diblaim. Then she conceived and gave birth to a son for him.4 Then the Lord said to Hosea,t “Name him ‘Jezreel,’ because in a little while I will punisht the dynastyt of Jehu on account of the bloodshedt in the valley of Jezreel,t and I will put an end to the kingdomt of Israel.s

5 At that time,t I will destroy the military powert of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”
6 She conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. Then the Lordt said to him, “Name her ‘No Pity’ (Lo-Ruhamah) because I will no longer have pitys on the nationt of Israel. Fort I will certainly not forgivet their guilt.t

7 But I will have pity on the nationt of Judah.t I will deliver them by the Lord their God; I will not deliver them by the warrior’s bow, by sword, by military victory,t by chariot horses, or by chariots.”s
8 Whent she had weaned ‘No Pity’ (Lo-Ruhamah) she conceived again and gave birth to another son.

9 Then the Lordt said: “Name him ‘Not My People’ (Lo-Ammi), because yout are not my people and I am not yourt God.”stss
10 s However,t in the future the number of the peoplet of Israel will be like the sand of the sea which can be neither measured nor numbered. Althought it was said to them, “You are not my people,” it will be said to them, “You aret childrent of the living God!”11 Then the peoplet of Judah and the people of Israel will be gathered together. They will appoint for themselves one leader,t and will flourish in the land.t Certainly,t the day of Jezreel will be great!
