Izaiáš 4

1 Jednoho muže se v ten den
chopí sedm žen:
„Budeme jíst svůj vlastní chléb
a oblékat se vlastním oděvem,
jen ať se jmenujeme po tobě –
pomoz nám ujít potupě!“

Hospodinův výhonek

2 V ten den bude Hospodinův výhonek nádherný a slavný a plod země bude chloubou a ozdobou pro ty z Izraele, kteří vyváznou. 3 Kdo zůstane na Sionu, kdo bude ponechán v Jeruzalémě, bude tehdy nazýván svatým, totiž každý, kdo je zapsán k životu v Jeruzalémě. 4 Pán tehdy duchem soudu a duchem ohně smyje špínu sionských dcer a umyje Jeruzalém od krve. 5 Nad celou horou Sion a nad všemi, kdo se tam shromáždí, pak Hospodin stvoří baldachýn – všechnu tu slávu bude ve dne přikrývat oblak dýmu a v noci záře planoucího ohně. 6 Poskytne přístřeší a stín před denním horkem a útočiště a úkryt před bouří a deštěm.

Isaiah 4

1 Seven women will grab hold of
one man at that time.ts
They will say, “We will providet our own food,
we will providet our own clothes;
but let us belong to yout –
take away our shame!”s

The Branch of the Lord

2 At that timet
the crops given by the Lord will bring admiration and honor;t
the produce of the land will be a source of pride and delight
to those who remain in Israel.t

3 Those remaining in Zion,t those left in Jerusalem,s
will be called “holy,”t
all in Jerusalem who are destined to live.t

4 At that timet the sovereign mastert will wash the excrementt from Zion’s women,
he will rinse the bloodstains from Jerusalem’s midst,s
as he comes to judge
and to bring devastation.t

5 Then the Lord will create
over all of Mount Ziont
and over its convocations
a cloud and smoke by day
and a bright flame of fire by night;ts
indeed a canopy will accompany the Lord’s glorious presence.t

6 By day it will be a shelter to provide shade from the heat,
as well as safety and protection from the heavy downpour.t
