Jesajan 4

1 Sinä päivänä seitsemän naista tarttuu yhteen mieheen sanoen: "Me syömme omaa leipäämme ja vaatetamme itsemme omilla vaatteilla, kunhan vain meidät otetaan sinun nimiisi; poista meidän häpeämme".

2 Sinä päivänä on Herran vesa oleva Israelin pelastuneille kaunistus ja kunnia ja maan hedelmä heille korkeus ja loisto. 3 Ja ne, jotka Siionissa ovat säilyneet ja Jerusalemissa jäljelle jääneet, kutsutaan pyhiksi, kaikki, jotka ovat kirjoitetut Jerusalemissa elävien lukuun- 4 silloin kun Herra on pessyt pois Siionin tytärten saastan ja huuhtonut Jerusalemista sen verenviat tuomion ja puhdistuksen hengellä. 5 Ja Herra luo Siionin vuorelle koko asuinsijansa ylle ja sen juhlakokousten ylle pilven päivän ajaksi ja savun ynnä tulenliekin hohteen yöksi, sillä kaiken kirkkauden yllä on oleva peite 6 ja verho varjoamassa päivän helteeltä sekä turvaamassa ja suojaamassa rajuilmalta ja sateelta.

Isaiah 4

1 Seven women will grab hold of
one man at that time.ts
They will say, “We will providet our own food,
we will providet our own clothes;
but let us belong to yout –
take away our shame!”s

The Branch of the Lord

2 At that timet
the crops given by the Lord will bring admiration and honor;t
the produce of the land will be a source of pride and delight
to those who remain in Israel.t

3 Those remaining in Zion,t those left in Jerusalem,s
will be called “holy,”t
all in Jerusalem who are destined to live.t

4 At that timet the sovereign mastert will wash the excrementt from Zion’s women,
he will rinse the bloodstains from Jerusalem’s midst,s
as he comes to judge
and to bring devastation.t

5 Then the Lord will create
over all of Mount Ziont
and over its convocations
a cloud and smoke by day
and a bright flame of fire by night;ts
indeed a canopy will accompany the Lord’s glorious presence.t

6 By day it will be a shelter to provide shade from the heat,
as well as safety and protection from the heavy downpour.t
