Jesaja 4

1 På den dagen skal sju kvinner ta fatt i én mann og si: Vårt eget brød vil vi ete, og våre egne klær vil vi kle oss i. La oss bare kalles med ditt navn, ta bort vår vanære! s

Herrens spire (Messias) er Guds folks sanne herlighet

2 På den dagen skal Herrens spire være til pryd og herlighet, og landets frukt til stolthet og til pryd for de unnkomne av Israel. s3 Og det skal skje: Den som er tilbake på Sion og som blir spart i Jerusalem, skal kalles hellig - hver den som er innskrevet til livet i Jerusalem - s4 når Herren får vasket bort Sions døtres urenhet, og når han får skylt bort Jerusalems blodskyld fra hennes midte ved doms ånd og renselses ånd. s5 Over hvert sted på Sions berg og over hennes forsamlinger skal Herren skape en sky og en røk om dagen og en glans av luende ild om natten. For over alt herlig er det et dekke. s6 Der skal være en hytte til skygge mot heten om dagen og et tilfluktssted, et skjul mot vannskyll og regn. s

Isaiah 4

1 Seven women will grab hold of
one man at that time.ts
They will say, “We will providet our own food,
we will providet our own clothes;
but let us belong to yout –
take away our shame!”s

The Branch of the Lord

2 At that timet
the crops given by the Lord will bring admiration and honor;t
the produce of the land will be a source of pride and delight
to those who remain in Israel.t

3 Those remaining in Zion,t those left in Jerusalem,s
will be called “holy,”t
all in Jerusalem who are destined to live.t

4 At that timet the sovereign mastert will wash the excrementt from Zion’s women,
he will rinse the bloodstains from Jerusalem’s midst,s
as he comes to judge
and to bring devastation.t

5 Then the Lord will create
over all of Mount Ziont
and over its convocations
a cloud and smoke by day
and a bright flame of fire by night;ts
indeed a canopy will accompany the Lord’s glorious presence.t

6 By day it will be a shelter to provide shade from the heat,
as well as safety and protection from the heavy downpour.t
