Jesaja 66

1  So spricht der HERR: Der Himmel ist mein Stuhl und die Erde meine Fußbank; was ist's denn für ein Haus, daß ihr mir bauen wollt, oder welches ist die Stätte, da ich ruhen soll? 2  Meine Hand hat alles gemacht, was da ist, spricht der HERR. Ich sehe aber an den Elenden und der zerbrochenen Geistes ist und der sich fürchtet vor meinem Wort. 3  Wer einen Ochsen schlachtet, ist eben als der einen Mann erschlüge; wer ein Schaf opfert, ist als der einem Hund den Hals bräche; wer Speisopfer bringt, ist als der Saublut opfert, wer Weihrauch anzündet, ist als der das Unrecht lobt. Solches erwählen sie in ihren Wegen, und ihre Seele hat Gefallen an ihren Greueln. 4  Darum will ich auch erwählen, was ihnen wehe tut; und was sie scheuen, will ich über sie kommen lassen, darum daß ich rief, und niemand antwortete, daß ich redete, und sie hörten nicht und taten, was mir übel gefiel, und erwählten, was mir nicht gefiel.

5  Höret des HERRN Wort, die ihr euch fürchtet vor seinem Wort: Eure Brüder, die euch hassen und sondern euch ab um meines Namens willen, sprechen: "Laßt sehen, wie herrlich der HERR sei, laßt ihn erscheinen zu eurer Freude"; die sollen zu Schanden werden. 6  Man wird hören eine Stimme des Getümmels in der Stadt, eine Stimme vom Tempel, eine Stimme des HERRN, der seinen Feinden bezahlt. 7  Sie gebiert, ehe ihr wehe wird; sie ist genesen eines Knaben, ehe denn ihre Kindsnot kommt. 8  Wer hat solches je gehört? wer hat solches je gesehen? Kann auch, ehe denn ein Land die Wehen kriegt, ein Volk auf einmal geboren werden? Nun hat doch ja Zion ihre Kinder ohne Wehen geboren. 9  Sollte ich das Kind lassen die Mutter brechen und nicht auch lassen geboren werden? spricht der HERR. Sollte ich, der gebären läßt, verschließen? spricht dein Gott. 10  Freuet euch mit Jerusalem und seid fröhlich über sie, alle, die ihr sie liebhabt; freuet euch mit ihr, alle, die ihr hier über sie traurig gewesen seid! 11  Denn dafür sollt ihr saugen und satt werden von den Brüsten ihres Trostes; ihr sollt dafür saugen und euch ergötzen an der Fülle ihrer Herrlichkeit. 12  Denn also spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich breite aus den Frieden bei ihr wie einen Strom und die Herrlichkeit der Heiden wie einen ergossenen Bach; da werdet ihr saugen. Ihr sollt auf dem Arme getragen werden, und auf den Knieen wird man euch freundlich halten. 13  Ich will euch trösten, wie einen seine Mutter tröstet; ja, ihr sollt an Jerusalem ergötzt werden. 14  Ihr werdet's sehen, und euer Herz wird sich freuen, und euer Gebein soll grünen wie Gras. Da wird man erkennen die Hand des HERRN an seinen Knechten und den Zorn an seinen Feinden.

15  Denn siehe, der HERR wird kommen mit Feuer und seine Wagen wie ein Wetter, daß er vergelte im Grimm seines Zorns und mit Schelten in Feuerflammen. 16  Denn der HERR wird durchs Feuer richten und durch sein Schwert alles Fleisch; und der Getöteten des HERRN wird viel sein. 17  Die sich heiligen und reinigen in den Gärten, einer hier, der andere da, und essen Schweinefleisch, Greuel und Mäuse, sollen weggerafft werden miteinander, spricht der HERR. 18  Und ich kenne ihre Werke und Gedanken. Es kommt die Zeit, daß ich sammle alle Heiden und Zungen, daß sie kommen und sehen meine Herrlichkeit. 19  Und ich will ein Zeichen unter sie geben und ihrer etliche, die errettet sind, senden zu den Heiden, gen Tharsis, gen Phul und Lud zu den Bogenschützen, gen Thubal und Javan und in die Ferne zu den Inseln, da man nichts von mir gehört hat und die meine Herrlichkeit nicht gesehen haben; und sollen meine Herrlichkeit unter den Heiden verkündigen. 20  Und sie werden alle eure Brüder aus allen Heiden herzubringen, dem HERR zum Speisopfer, auf Rossen und Wagen, auf Sänften, auf Maultieren und Dromedaren gen Jerusalem, zu meinem heiligen Berge, spricht der HERR, gleichwie die Kinder Israel Speisopfer in reinem Gefäß bringen zum Hause des HERRN. 21  Und ich will auch aus ihnen nehmen Priester und Leviten, spricht der HERR. 22  Denn gleichwie der neue Himmel und die neue Erde, die ich mache, vor mir stehen, spricht der HERR, also soll auch euer Same und Name stehen. 23  Und alles Fleisch wird einen Neumond nach dem andern und einen Sabbat nach dem andern kommen, anzubeten vor mir, spricht der HERR. 24  Und sie werden hinausgehen und schauen die Leichname der Leute, die an mir übel gehandelt haben; denn ihr Wurm wird nicht sterben, und ihr Feuer nicht verlöschen, und werden allem Fleisch ein Greuel sein.

Isaiah 66

1 This is what the Lord says:
“The heavens are my throne
and the earth is my footstool.
Where then is the house you will build for me?
Where is the place where I will rest?

2 My hand made them;t
that is how they came to be,”t says the Lord.
I show special favort to the humble and contrite,
who respect what I have to say.t

3 The one who slaughters a bull also strikes down a man;t
the one who sacrifices a lamb also breaks a dog’s neck;ts
the one who presents an offering includes pig’s blood with it;t
the one who offers incense also praises an idol.t
They have decided to behave this way;t
they enjoy these disgusting practices.t

4 So I will choose severe punishmentt for them;
I will bring on them what they dread,
because I called, and no one responded,
I spoke and they did not listen.
They did evil before me;t
they chose to do what displeases me.”

5 Hear the word of the Lord,
you who respect what he has to say!t
Your countrymen,t who hate you
and exclude you, supposedly for the sake of my name,
say, “May the Lord be glorified,
then we will witness your joy.”t
But they will be put to shame.

6 The sound of battle comes from the city;
the sound comes from the temple!
It is the sound of the Lord paying back his enemies.

7 Before she goes into labor, she gives birth!
Before her contractions begin, she delivers a boy!

8 Who has ever heard of such a thing?
Who has ever seen this?
Can a countryt be brought forth in one day?
Can a nation be born in a single moment?
Yet as soon as Zion goes into labor she gives birth to sons!

9 “Do I bring a baby to the birth opening and then not deliver it?”
asks the Lord.
“Or do I bring a baby to the point of delivery and then hold it back?”
asks your God.s

10 Be happy for Jerusalem
and rejoice with her, all you who love her!
Share in her great joy,
all you who have mourned over her!

11 Fort you will nurse from her satisfying breasts and be nourished;t
you will feed with joy from her milk-filled breasts.ts

12 For this is what the Lord says:
“Look, I am ready to extend to her prosperity that will flow like a river,
the riches of nations will flow into her like a stream that floods its banks.t
You will nurse from her breastt and be carried at her side;
you will play on her knees.

13 As a mother consoles a child,t
so I will console you,
and you will be consoled over Jerusalem.”

14 When you see this, you will be happy,t
and you will be revived.t
The Lord will reveal his power to his servants
and his anger to his enemies.t

15 For look, the Lord comes with fire,
his chariots come like a windstorm,s
to reveal his raging anger,
his battle cry, and his flaming arrows.t

16 For the Lord judges all humanityt
with fire and his sword;
the Lord will kill many.t
17 “As for those who consecrate and ritually purify themselves so they can follow their leader and worship in the sacred orchards,t those who eat the flesh of pigs and other disgusting creatures, like micet – they will all be destroyed together,”t says the Lord.18 “I hate their deeds and thoughts! So I am comings to gather all the nations and ethnic groups;t they will come and witness my splendor.19 I will perform a mighty act among themt and then send some of those who remain to the nations – to Tarshish, Pul,t Luds (known for its archerst), Tubal, Javan,s and to the distant coastlandst that have not heard about me or seen my splendor. They will tell the nations of my splendor.20 They will bring back all your countryment from all the nations as an offering to the Lord. They will bring themt on horses, in chariots, in wagons, on mules, and on camelst to my holy hill Jerusalem,” says the Lord, “just as the Israelites bring offerings to the Lord’s temple in ritually pure containers.21 And I will choose some of them as priests and Levites,” says the Lord.22 “For just as the new heavens and the new earth I am about to make will remain standing before me,” says the Lord, “so your descendants and your name will remain.23 From one montht to the next and from one Sabbath to the next, all peoplet will come to worship me,”t says the Lord.

24 “They will go out and observe the corpses of those who rebelled against me, for the maggots that eat them will not die,t and the fire that consumes them will not die out.t All people will find the sight abhorrent.”ts
