Ta ku pfumela ni vutlhari

2 Yi tekeni yi ri mhaka ya ku tsakisa swinene, vamakwerhu, loko mi hlangana ni miringo ya tinxaka-xaka, 3 hikuva ma swi tiva leswaku loko ku pfumela ka n'wina ku tiya eku ringiweni, swi humesa ku tiyisela.

4 Kambe ku tiyisela ka n'wina ku fanele ku tirha ntirho lowu hetisekeke, leswaku mi va lavo hetiseka ni ku lulama hi matlhelo hinkwawo, mi nga pfumali nchumu.
5 Loko un'wana wa n'wina a pfumala vutlhari, a a kombele eka Xikwembu, lexi nyikaka vanhu hinkwavo hi tintswalo, ku nga ri na ku vilela, kutani ú ta nyikiwa byona. 6 Ntsena, a a kombele hi ku pfumela, a nga kanakani, hikuva loyi a kanakanaka, ú fana ni gandlati ra lwandle leri biwaka ri yisiwa hala ni hala hi mheho. 7 Munhu lowo tano a nga tshuki a ehleketa leswaku ú ta nyikiwa nchumu hi Xikwembu,

9 Makwerhu loyi a nga evusiwaneni, ú fanele ku tsaka loko a tlakusiwa; 10 tna yena mufuwi, ú fanele ku tsaka loko a tsongahatiwa, hikuva ku fana ni xiluva xa nhova, ú ta hundza.

11 Dyambu ri huma ri ri ni ku hisa ka rona, ri vunisa nhova; swiluva swi wela hansi, ni ku saseka ka swona ka onhaka. Hi mukhuva wolowo, mufuwi na yena ú ta vuna a herisiwa, a ri karhi a landzelela swilo swa yena.

Ta ku ringiwa ni ku hlula miringo

12 Ku katekile munhu loyi a tiyiselaka eku ringiweni, hikuva loko a hlurile miringo, ú ta nyikiwa harhi ya vutomi leyi Xikwembu xi yi tshembiseke lava va xi rhandzaka. 13 Ku nga vi na munhu loyi, loko a ringiwa, a nge: “Ndzi ringiwa hi Xikwembu.” Hikuva Xikwembu xi nga ka xi nga ringiwi hi leswo biha; naswona, xona hi xoxe, a xi ringi munhu ni un'we. 14 Kambe munhu un'wana ni un'wana wa ringiwa loko a kokiwa ni ku phasiwa hi ku navela ka yena n'winyi.

15 Kutani loko ku navela ku korwile, ku tswala xidyoho; xidyoho xona, loko xi hetisekile, xi tswala rifu.
16 Mi nga tshuki mi tixisa, vamakwerhu lava rhandzekaka. 17 Nyiko yin'wana ni yin'wana leyo saseka ni minkateko hinkwayo leyi hetisekeke, swi ta hi le henhla, swi xika hi le ka Muvumbi wa leswi voningaka, loyi ku nga hava ku hundzuka-hundzuka eka yena, kumbe ku fularhela munhu a sala exinyamini.

18 Hi ku rhandza ka yena, ú hi velekile hi rito ra ntiyiso, leswaku hi nga va lava vuriwaka mativula ya swivumbiwa swa yena.

Ta ku twa ni ku endla

19 Tivani leswi, vamakwerhu lava rhandzekaka: Munhu un'wana ni un'wana a a hatlise ku twa, a hlwela ku vulavula, a hlwela ku kariha. 20 Hikuva vukari bya munhu a byi yisi makungu layo lulama ya Xikwembu emahlweni.

21 Hikokwalaho, susani thyaka hinkwaro ni vubihi hinkwabyo lebyi hatlaka ku mila, kutani mi amukela hi ku titsongahata rito leri byariwaka etimbilwini ta n'wina, leri kotaka ku mi ponisa.
22 Mi va vaendli va rito, mi nga vi vatwi ntsena lava tixisaka. 23 Hikuva loko munhu a ri mutwi wa rito, a nga ri muendli, ú fana ni munhu loyi a langutaka nghohe ya yena ya ntumbuluko exivonini; 24 hikuva wa tinyanga a suka a famba, kutani a hatla a rivala leswi a tivoneke a ri swona.

25 Kambe loyi a kambisisaka Nawu lowu hetisekeke wa ku ntshunxeka, a tiyisela eka wona a nga ri mutwi loyi a rivalaka, kambe a ri muendli la tirhaka, ú ta kateka eka leswi a swi endlaka.
26 Loko munhu a anakanya leswaku ú ni vukhongeri, kambe a nga fumi ririmi ra yena, munhu loyi wa tixisa, vukhongeri bya yena a byi pfuni nchumu. 27 Vukhongeri lebyi tengeke, lebyi nga solekiki emahlweni ka Xikwembu Tatana, hi lebyi: Ku endzela lava feriweke hi vatswari, ni ku endzela tinoni emaxangwini ya tona, ni ku papalata swilo leswi nyameke swa misava leyi.

James 1

Testing Your Faith

1 James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.

2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,8  being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

9 But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.11 For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.

12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

19 t This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;20 for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.21 Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless.27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
