1 JAKỌBU, iranṣẹ Ọlọrun ati ti Jesu Kristi Oluwa, si awọn ẹ̀ya mejila ti o túka kiri, alafia.Igbagbọ ati Ọgbọ́n
2 Ẹnyin ará mi, nigbati ẹnyin ba bọ́ sinu onirũru idanwò, ẹ kà gbogbo rẹ̀ si ayọ; 3 Ki ẹ si mọ̀ pe, idanwò igbagbọ́ nyin nṣiṣẹ sũru. 4 Ṣugbọn ẹ jẹ ki sũru ki o ṣe iṣẹ aṣepé, ki ẹnyin ki o le jẹ pipe ati ailabuku, ki o má kù ohun kan fun ẹnikẹni. 5 Bi o ba kù ọgbọn fun ẹnikẹni, ki o bère lọwọ Ọlọrun, ẹniti ifi fun gbogbo enia ni ọ̀pọlọpọ, ti kì isi ibaniwi; a o si fifun u. 6 Ṣugbọn ki o bère ni igbagbọ́, li aiṣiyemeji rara. Nitori ẹniti o nṣiyemeji dabi ìgbi omi okun, ti nti ọwọ́ afẹfẹ bì siwa bì sẹhin ti a si nrú soke.
7 Nitori ki iru enia bẹ̃ máṣe rò pe, on yio ri ohunkohun gbà lọwọ Oluwa;Mẹ̀kúnnù ati Ọlọ́rọ̀
8 Enia oniyemeji jẹ alaiduro ni ọ̀na rẹ̀ gbogbo. 9 Ṣugbọn jẹ ki arakunrin ti iṣe talaka mã ṣogo ni ipo giga rẹ̀. 10 Ati ọlọrọ̀, ni irẹ̀silẹ rẹ̀, nitori bi itanná koriko ni yio kọja lọ.
11 Nitori õrun là ti on ti õru mimu, o si gbẹ koriko, itanná rẹ̀ si rẹ̀ danu, ẹwà oju rẹ̀ si parun: bẹ̃ pẹlu li ọlọrọ̀ yio ṣegbe ni ọ̀na rẹ̀.Ìlò Ìdánwò
12 Ibukún ni fun ọkunrin ti o fi ọkàn rán idanwò: nitori nigbati o ba yege, yio gbà ade ìye, ti Oluwa ti ṣe ileri fun awọn ti o fẹ ẹ. 13 Ki ẹnikẹni ti a danwò máṣe wipe, Lati ọwọ́ Ọlọrun li a ti dán mi wò: nitori a kò le fi buburu dán Ọlọrun wò, on na kì isi idán ẹnikẹni wò: 14 Ṣugbọn olukuluku ni a ndanwò, nigbati a ba ti ọwọ́ ifẹkufẹ ara rẹ̀ fà a lọ ti a si tàn a jẹ. 15 Njẹ, ifẹkufẹ na nigbati o ba lóyun, a bí ẹ̀ṣẹ: ati ẹ̀ṣẹ na nigbati o ba si dagba tan, a bí ikú. 16 Ki a má ṣe tan nyin jẹ, ẹnyin ará mi olufẹ. 17 Gbogbo ẹ̀bun rere ati gbogbo ẹ̀bun pipé lati oke li o ti wá, o si nsọkalẹ lati ọdọ Baba imọlẹ wá, lọdọ Ẹniti kò le si iyipada tabi ojiji àyida.
18 Nipa ifẹ ara rẹ̀ li o fi ọ̀rọ otitọ bí wa, ki awa ki o le jẹ bi akọso awọn ẹda rẹ̀.Gbígbọ́ ati Ṣíṣe Ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọrun
19 Ẹnyin mọ eyi, ẹnyin ará mi olufẹ; ṣugbọn jẹ ki olukuluku enia ki o mã yara lati gbọ́, ki o lọra lati fọhùn, ki o lọra lati binu: 20 Nitori ibinu enia kì iṣiṣẹ ododo Ọlọrun. 21 Nitorina ẹ fi gbogbo ẽri ati buburu aṣeleke lelẹ li apakan, ki ẹ si fi ọkàn tutù gbà ọ̀rọ na ti a gbin, ti o le gbà ọkàn nyin là. 22 Ṣugbọn ki ẹ jẹ oluṣe ọ̀rọ na, ki o má si ṣe olugbọ́ nikan, ki ẹ mã tàn ara nyin jẹ. 23 Nitori bi ẹnikan ba jẹ olugbọ́ ọ̀rọ na, ti kò si jẹ oluṣe, on dabi ọkunrin ti o nṣakiyesi oju ara rẹ̀ ninu awojiji: 24 Nitori o ṣakiyesi ara rẹ̀, o si ba tirẹ̀ lọ, lojukanna o si gbagbé bi on ti ri. 25 Ṣugbọn ẹniti o ba nwo inu ofin pipé, ofin omnira nì, ti o si duro ninu rẹ̀, ti on kò jẹ olugbọ́ ti ngbagbé, bikoṣe oluṣe iṣẹ, oluwarẹ̀ yio jẹ alabukun ninu iṣẹ rẹ̀. 26 Bi ẹnikẹni ba ro pe on nsìn Ọlọrun nigbati kò kó ahọn rẹ̀ ni ijanu, ṣugbọn ti o ntàn ọkàn ara rẹ̀ jẹ, ìsin oluwarẹ̀ asan ni. 27 Ìsin mimọ́ ati ailẽri niwaju Ọlọrun ati Baba li eyi, lati mã bojutó awọn alainibaba ati awọn opó ninu ipọnju wọn, ati lati pa ara rẹ̀ mọ́ lailabawọn kuro li aiyé.
James 1
Testing Your Faith
1 James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.
2 Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials,3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.4 And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord,8 being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
9 But the brother of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;10 and the rich man is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.11 For the sun rises with a scorching wind and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so too the rich man in the midst of his pursuits will fade away.
12 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.13 Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.14 But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.15 Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
19 t This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger;20 for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.21 Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.
26 If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is worthless.27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
