JAKOBUS 2
Lumba-lumba dompak halak siidah-idah bohi
1 Nasiam saninangku, ulang ma ibagas na mangidah-idah bohi nasiam marhaporsayaon bani Tuhanta Jesus Kristus, na marmulia in. (1 Kor. 2:8.)
2 Umpamani, roh ma sada halak partintin omas ampa na marpakeian na majenges hu parguruan nasiam, anjaha roh homa sada halak na miskin marhiou na marigat-rigat.
3 Jadi dob iidah nasiam parhiou na majenges ai, gabe ihatahon nasiam hubani: “Hundul ma ham ijon, bani sidearan on,” tapi bani na miskin ai ihatahon nasiam: “Ijai ma ho jongjong barang hundul ijon i lambung ni naheihon,”
4 ai lang domma mambahen parlegan-leganan nasiam ijai i tongah-tongah nasiam, anjaha manguhumi nasiam marhitei pingkiran na jahat?
5 Tangihon nasiam ma, ale sanina na hinaholongan: Ai lang na masombuh i dunia on do ipilih Naibata, ase bayak sidea ibagas haporsayaon anjaha panean bani harajaon, na dob pinarbagahNi hinan bani na marholong ni atei Bani? (Luk. 12:21; 1 Kor. 1:26-28.)
6 Tapi idoruni nasiam do na masombuh in. Ai lang halak na bayak in do na mangarsik-arsik anjaha na manarad-narad nasiam hu paruhuman?
7 Ai lang sidea do na pasambor-samborhon Goran na dear in, na dob ipartigorankon bani nasiam?
8 Sibahen na madear ma nasiam tongon, anggo gok idalankon nasiam titah ni Harajaon in, domu hubani hata ni Surat in: Haholongi ma hasomanmin songon dirimu! (3 Mus. 19:18.)
9 Tapi, anggo siidah-idah bohi nasiam, na mardousa do nasiam ijai, gabe patalaron ni titah in ma nasiam songon sipanlanggar. (5 Mus. 1:17.)
10 Porini pe idalankon sada halak haganup titah in, hape ilanggar sada, parsalah do ia bani haganup. (Mat. 5:19.)
11 Ai Ia na mangkatahon: “Ulang ho marbangkis!” lanjar Ia do mangkatahon: “Ulang ho mamunuh!” Ase pori ni pe seng marbangkis ho, hape mamunuh do, panlanggar do ho bani titah in. (2 Mus. 20:13, 14.)
12 Bani parsahap atap horja pe ingat nasiam ma: Siuhumon do nasiam bahenon ni titah hamardekaon in.
13 Ai uhum na so maridop ni uhur do bani na so mandalankon idop ni uhur, tapi monang do idop ni uhur marimbang uhum. (Mat. 5:7; 18:30, 34; 25:45, 46.)Pardomuan ni haporsayaon ampa horja
14 Aha ma gunani, nasiam saninangku, anggo ihatahon sada halak, adong bani haporsayaon, tapi seng dong pangkorjahonni? (Mat. 7:21.)
15 Porini dong sanina atap botou, na so marhiou anjaha hurangan bani sipanganon ari-ari,
16 gabe adong humbani nasiam, na mangkatahon hubani: “Laho ma nasiam ibagas damei, malas ma pangahap nasiam anjaha bosur ma nasiam,” hape seng dong ibere nasiam bani, aha ma gunani ai? (1 Joh. 3:17.)
17 Haporsayaon in pe sonai do. Anggo seng dong horjani, na dob matei do ai ibagas dirini.
18 Tapi ra do adong halak na mangkatahon: Bamu ma haporsayaon, bakku parhorjaan! Patuduhkon ham ma bakku haporsayaonmu, na so pala adong horjani, ase hupatuduhkon bamu haporsayaon in marhitei horjangku. (Gal. 5:6.)
19 Na porsaya do ham: Sada do hansa Naibata. Dear ma ai. Setan-setan pe porsaya do anjaha hitir-hitir.
20 Tapi sihol ma botohonmu, ale jolma na oto, na so marguna do haporsayaon, anggo seng adong horjani.
21 Ai lang humbani horja do ipintori ompungta si Abraham, dob na binoanni ai si Isak, anakni ai, hu panggalangan? (1 Mus. 22:9, 10, 12.)
22 Iidah ham ma ijai, na rap marhorja do haporsayaonni ampa pangkorjahonni, anjaha marhitei horja ai gabe gokan dear haporsayaon ai.
23 Jadi jumpah ma na hinatahon ni Surat in: Ihaporsayai si Abraham do Naibata, anjaha ai ma ihira bani gabe hapintoranni, anjaha igoran do ia “huan-huan ni Naibata”. (1 Mus. 15:6; Jes. 41:8.)
24 Ase idah nasiam ma: Humbani horja do ipintori jolma, seng humbani haporsayaon tumang.
25 Sonai do age si Rahab, boru jalang ai, ai lang humbani horjani do ia ipintori, dob na jinaloni ai suruhan ai, anjaha isuruh sidea humbani dalan na legan? (Jos. 2:4, 15; Heb. 11:13.)
26 Ai songon badan, na so martonduy, matei do, sonai do matei age haporsayaon, na so marhorja. (ay. 17.)
James 2
Prejudice and the Law of Love
1 My brothers and sisters,t do not show prejudicet if you possess faitht in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ.t2 For if someonet comes into your assemblyt wearing a gold ring and fine clothing, and a poor person enters in filthy clothes,3 do you pay attention to the one who is finely dressed and say,t “You sit here in a good place,”t and to the poor person, “You stand over there,” or “Sit on the floor”?t4 If so, have you not made distinctionst among yourselves and become judges with evil motives?t5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters!t Did not God choose the poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?6 But you have dishonored the poor!t Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?7 Do they not blaspheme the good name of the one you belong to?t8 But if you fulfill the royal law as expressed in this scripture,t “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,”s you are doing well.9 But if you show prejudice, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as violators.t10 For the one who obeys the whole law but failst in one point has become guilty of all of it.t11 For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,”s also said, “Do not murder.”s Now if you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a violator of the law.12 Speak and act as those who will be judged by a law that gives freedom.t
13 For judgment is merciless for the one who has shown no mercy. But mercy triumphs overt judgment.
Faith and Works Together
14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters,t if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can this kind of faitht save him?s15 If a brother or sistert is poorly clothed and lacks daily food,16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs,t what good is it?17 So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.”t Show me your faith without works and I will show you faith byt my works.
19 You believe that God is one; well and good.t Even the demons believe that – and tremble with fear.t
20 But would you like evidence,t you empty fellow,t that faith without works is useless?s21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?22 You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works.23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,”s and he was called God’s friend.s24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.25 And similarly, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another way?
26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
