JUAN 13

Gihugasan ni Jesus ang mga Tiil sa Iyang mga Sumusunod

1 Sa wala pa moabot ang adlaw sa Pista sa Paglabay sa Anghel, nahibalo nang daan si Jesus nga miabot na ang higayon nga mogikan na siya niining kalibotan ug mobalik sa Amahan. Gimahal gayod niya ang iyang mga sumusunod dinhi sa kalibotan, ug hangtod sa kataposan gipakita niya ang iyang pagmahal kanila.
2  add Sa pagkagabii niana, nanihapon si Jesus ug ang iyang mga sumusunod. Gisulod nang daan ni Satanas sa hunahuna ni Judas nga anak ni Simon Iscariote + 13:2 Simon Iscariote: tingali ang buot ipasabot, Simon nga taga-Keriot. nga luiban niya si Jesus.3  Nahibalo si Jesus nga ang tanan nga gahom gihatag na sa Amahan kaniya. Nahibalo usab siya nga sa Dios siya naggikan ug sa Dios usab siya mobalik.4 Samtang nanihapon sila, mitindog siya ug naghukas sa iyang kupo. Unya mikuha siyag tualya ug iya kining gibakos.5 Gibuboan dayon niyag tubig ang palanggana ug gipanghugasan niya ang mga tiil sa iyang mga sumusunod, ug gipahiran sa tualya nga iyang gibakos.6 Sa pag-abot niya kang Simon Pedro, miingon si Simon kaniya,7 Gitubag siya ni Jesus,8 Miingon si Pedro, Apan miingon si Jesus kaniya,9 Busa miingon si Simon Pedro,10 Apan miingon si Jesus,

11 (Miingon siya nga dili limpyo ang tanan tungod kay nahibalo siya kon kinsa ang magluib kaniya.)
12 Sa nahugasan na ni Jesus ang ilang mga tiil, gisul-ob niya pag-usab ang iyang kupo ug mibalik sa lamisa. Nangutana siya kanila,13 Gitawag ninyo ako nga Magtutudlo ug Ginoo, ug husto kana, kay ako man gayod ang inyong Magtutudlo ug Ginoo.14 Kon ako man gani nga inyong Ginoo ug Magtutudlo naghugas sa inyong mga tiil, angayan usab nga maghinugasay kamo sa inyong mga tiil.15 Gibuhat ko kini isip panig-ingnan aron inyo usab nga sundon.16 Sa pagkatinuod, sultihan ko kamo nga walay sulugoon nga molabaw pa sa iyang agalon, ug walay sinugo nga molabaw pa sa nagsugo kaniya.

17 Karon nga nahibaloan na ninyo kini nga mga butang, bulahan kamo kon inyo kining buhaton.
19 Ginasulti ko na kining daan kaninyo samtang wala pa mahitabo, aron nga kon mahitabo na motuo kamo nga ako mao gayod ang Cristo.

20 Sa pagkatinuod, sultihan ko kamo nga ang modawat sa mga tawo nga akong ipadala nagadawat usab kanako, ug ang nagadawat kanako nagadawat usab sa nagpadala kanako."

Misulti si Jesus nga May Magluib Kaniya

(Mt. 26:20-25; Mc. 14:17-21; Lu. 22:21-23)

21 Human kadto masulti ni Jesus, naguol gayod siya. Miingon siya,22 Nagtinan-away ang iyang mga sumusunod nga naglibog kon kinsa kanila ang iyang gitumong.23 Ang usa sa mga sumusunod nga gimahal gayod ni Jesus nagalingkod didto sa iyang tapad.24 Gisinyasan siya ni Simon Pedro nga pangutan-on si Jesus kon kinsa ang iyang buot ipasabot.25 Busa midip-ig siya kang Jesus ug nangutana kon kinsa ang magluib kaniya.26 Mitubag si Jesus, Dayon gituslob niya ang pan ug gihatag niya kang Judas nga anak ni Simon Iscariote.27 Pagkadawat ni Judas niadtong pan, misulod si Satanas diha kaniya. Miingon dayon si Jesus kaniya,28 (Walay usa niadtong mga nanihapon nga nakasabot kon nganong misulti si Jesus niadto kang Judas.29 Naghunahuna ang uban nga mga sumusunod nga gisugo lang siya ni Jesus nga magpalit sa ilang nga kinahanglanon alang sa pista, o kaha maghatag ug limos sa mga kabos, kay si Judas mao ang nagkupot sa ilang kuwarta.)

30 Sa nakaon na ni Judas ang pan migawas dayon siya. Gabii na kadto.

Ang Bag-o nga Sugo

31 Sa dihang nakagawas na si Judas, miingon si Jesus,32 Ug kon pinaagi kanako dayegon ang Dios, ipakita usab niya nga ako dalaygon usab. Ug kini buhaton dayon niya.33  Kamo nga giisip ko nga akong mga anak, dili na ako makig-uban kaninyo ug dugay. Mangita kamo kanako, apan sama sa akong giingon sa mga kadagkoan sa mga Judio, ingnon ko usab kamo karon nga dili kamo makaadto sa akong adtoan.34 Busa karon ihatag ko kaninyo ang usa ka bag-o nga sugo: paghigugmaay kamo. Kon unsa ang akong paghigugma kaninyo kinahanglan sama usab niana ang inyong paghigugma sa usag usa.

35 Kon maghigugmaay kamo, masayran sa tanan nga kamo akong mga sumusunod."

Gitagna ni Jesus ang Paglimod ni Pedro

36 Karon, gipangutana siya ni Simon Pedro, Mitubag si Jesus.37 Apan nangutana si Pedro,38 Gitubag siya ni Jesus,

Washing the Disciples’ Feet

1 Just before the Passover feast, Jesus knew that his timet had come to departt from this world to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now loved them to the very end.ts2 The evening mealt was in progress, and the devil had already put into the hearts of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, that he should betrayt Jesus.t3 Because Jesust knew that the Father had handed all things over to him,t and that he had come from God and was going back to God,4 he got up from the meal, removedt his outer clothes,t took a towel and tied it around himself.t

5 He poured water into the washbasin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to dry them with the towel he had wrapped around himself.t
6 Then he came to Simon Peter. Petert said to him, “Lord, are you going to washt my feet?”7 Jesus replied,t “You do not understandt what I am doing now, but you will understandt after these things.”8 Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!”t Jesus replied,t “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.”t9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, washt not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!”10 Jesus replied,t “The one who has bathed needs only to wash his feet,t but is completelyt clean.s And you disciplest are clean, but not every one of you.”

11 (For Jesust knew the one who was going to betray him. For this reason he said, “Not every one of you ist clean.”)s
12 So when Jesust had washed their feet and put his outer clothing back on, he took his place at the tablet again and said to them, “Do you understandt what I have done for you?13 You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and do so correctly,t for that is what I am.t14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you too ought to wash one another’s feet.15 For I have given you an examples – you should do just as I have done for you.16 I tell you the solemn truth,t the slavet is not greater than his master, nor is the one who is sent as a messengert greater than the one who sent him.

17 If you understandt these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

The Announcement of Jesus’ Betrayal

18 “What I am saying does not refer to all of you. I know the ones I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the scripture,t ‘The one who eats my breadthas turned against me.’ts19 I am telling you this now,t before it happens, so that when it happens you may believet that I am he.t

20 I tell you the solemn truth,t whoever acceptst the one I send accepts me, and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me.”s
21 When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressedt in spirit, and testified,t “I tell you the solemn truth,t one of you will betray me.”t22 The disciples began to look at one another, worried and perplexedt to know which of them he was talking about.23 One of his disciples, the one Jesus loved,s was at the tablet to the right of Jesus in a place of honor.ts24 So Simon Peters gestured to this disciplet to ask Jesust who it was he was referring to.s25 Then the disciple whom Jesus lovedt leaned back against Jesus’ chest and asked him, “Lord, who is it?”26 Jesus replied,t “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of breads after I have dipped it in the dish.”t Then he dipped the piece of bread in the disht and gave it to Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son.27 And after Judast took the piece of bread, Satan entered into him.ts Jesus said to him,t “What you are about to do, do quickly.”28 (Now none of those present at the tablet understoodt why Jesust said this to Judas.t29 Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him to buy whatever they needed for the feast,t or to give something to the poor.)s

30 Judast took the piece of bread and went out immediately. (Now it was night.)s

The Prediction of Peter’s Denial

31 Whent Judast had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in him.32 If God is glorified in him,s God will also glorify him in himself, and he will glorify him right away.t

33 Children, I am still with you for a little while. You will look for me,t and just as I said to the Jewish religious leaders,t ‘Where I am going you cannot come,’s now I tell you the same.t
34 “I give you a new commandment – to lovet one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.s

35 Everyonet will know by this that you are my disciples – if you have love for one another.”
36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied,t “Where I am going, you cannot follow me now, but you will follow later.”37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you!”t

38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me?t I tell you the solemn truth,t the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!
