Jesu anonyaradza Vadzidzi Vake

1 Mwoyo yenyu ngairege kutambudzika. Tendai kuna Mwari; mutendewo kwandiri.2 Mumba maBaba vangu mune nzvimbo zhinji dzokugara; dai zvaiva zvisizvo, ndingadai ndakuudzai. Ndiri kuenda ikoko kundokugadzirirai nzvimbo.3 Uye kana ndikaenda kundokugadzirirai nzvimbo, ndichadzoka ndozokutorai kuti muve neni, kuti nemiwo mugova kwandinenge ndiri.

4 Imi munoziva nzira yokuenda nayo kunzvimbo yandiri kuenda.”

Jesu ndiye nzira yokuenda kuna Baba
5 Tomasi akati kwaari, “Ishe hatizivi kwamuri kuenda, saka nzira yacho tingaiziva seiko?”
6 Jesu akapindura akati, “Ndini nzira nechokwadi uye noupenyu. Hakuna munhu angauya kuna Baba kana asina kupfuura napandiri.7 Dai maindiziva chaizvo mugadai maizozivawo Baba vangu. Kubvira zvino, munovaziva uye makavaona.”
8 Firipi akati, “Ishe, tiratidzei Baba kuti zvigotiringana.”
9 Jesu akapindura akati, “Firipi, haundizivi iwe here, kunyange ndanga ndiri pakati penyu kwenguva refu yakadai? Ani naani aona ini aona Baba. Unoreva seiko zvaunoti, ‘Tiratidzei Baba’10 Hamutendi here kuti ini ndiri muna Baba, uye Baba vari mandiri? Mashoko andinotaura kwamuri haasi angu ndoga. Asi, ndeaBaba, vanogara mandiri, avo vari kuita basa ravo.11 Nditendei pandinenge ndichiti, ini ndiri muna Baba uye Baba vari mandiri; kana kuti mutende zviratidzo zvamunoona.12 Ndinokuudzai kuti, ani naani anotenda kwandiri achaita zvandanga ndichiita. Achaita kunyange zvinhu zvikuru kupfuura izvi, nokuti ndiri kuenda kuna Baba.13 Uye ndichaita zvose zvamunokumbira muzita rangu, kuitira kuti Mwanakomana avigire Baba kukudzwa.

14 Kana mukakumbira chinhu chipi zvacho muzita rangu, ndichachiita.

15 “Kana muchindida, muchateerera zvandinokurayirai.16 Uye ini ndichakumbira Baba, vagokupai mumwe Munyaradzi kuti agare nemi nokusingaperi,17 iye Mweya wechokwadi. Nyika haigoni kumugamuchira, nokuti haimuoni uye haimuzivi. Asi imi munomuziva, nokuti agere nemi uye achava mukati menyu.18 Handingakusiyei muri nherera; ndichauya kwamuri.19 Chinguva chiduku nyika haichazondionizve, asi imi muchandiona. Nokuti ndiri mupenyu, nemiwo muchava vapenyu.20 Pazuva iro muchaziva kuti ini ndiri muna Baba, uye imi muri mandiri, uye ini ndiri mamuri.21 Ani naani ane mirayiro yangu uye anoiteerera, ndiye anondida iyeye. Uyo anondida achadikanwa naBaba vangu, neniwo ndichamuda uye ndichazviratidza kwaari.”
22 Ipapo Judhasi (kwete Judhasi Iskarioti) akati, “Asi Ishe, seiko muchida kuzviratidza kwatiri, musingazviratidzi kunyika?”
23 Jesu akapindura akati, “Kana munhu achindida, achateerera kudzidzisa kwangu. Baba vangu vachamuda, uye tichauya kwaari toita ugaro hwedu naye.24 Uyo asingandidi haateereri kudzidzisa kwangu. Mashoko amunonzwa aya haasi angu; ndeaBaba vakandituma.
25 “Zvose izvi ndazvitaura ndichinemi.26 Asi Munyaradzi, Mweya Mutsvene, uyo achatumwa naBaba muzita rangu, achakudzidzisai zvinhu zvose uye achakuyeuchidzai zvinhu zvose zvandakareva kwamuri.27 Ndinokusiyirai rugare; ndinokupai rugare rwangu. Handikupei sokupa kwenyika. Mwoyo yenyu ngairege kutambudzika uye musatya.
28 “Makandinzwa ndichiti, ‘Ndiri kuenda uye ndichadzokazve.’ Dai maindida maifara kuti ndinoenda kuna Baba, nokuti Baba vakuru kupfuura ini.29 Ndagara ndakuudzai zvichigere kuitika, kuitira kuti pazvinenge zvoitika mugozotenda.30 Handichazotauri nemi kwenguva refu, nokuti muchinda wenyika ino ari kuuya. Haana chinhu pandiri,

31 asi nyika inofanira kudzidza kuti ndinoda Baba uye kuti ndinoita chaizvo zvandinenge ndarayirwa naBaba vangu.

Jesus’ Parting Words to His Disciples

1 “Do not let your hearts be distressed.s You believe in God;t believe also in me.2 There are many dwelling placest in my Father’s house.s Otherwise, I would have told you, becausests I am going away to make readyt a place for you.t3 And if I go and make readyt a place for you, I will come again and take yout to be with me,t so that where I am you may be too.

4 And you know the way where I am going.”ss
5 Thomas said,t “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”6 Jesus replied,t “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.t No one comes to the Father except through me.

7 If you have known me, you will know my Father too.s And from now on you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said,t “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be content.”t9 Jesus replied,t “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not knownt me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me?t The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own initiative,t but the Father residing in me performst his miraculous deeds.ts11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, but if you do not believe me,t believe because of the miraculous deedsts themselves.12 I tell you the solemn truth,t the person who believes in me will performt the miraculous deedst that I am doing,ts and will performt greater deedsts than these, because I am going to the Father.13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name,t so that the Father may be glorifiedt in the Son.

14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Teaching on the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, you will obeyt my commandments.s16 Thent I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocatet to be with you forever –

17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept,t because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he residest with you and will bes in you.
18 “I will not abandont you as orphans,t I will come to you.s19 In a little whilet the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.20 You will know at that timets that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

21 The person who has my commandments and obeyst them is the one who loves me.t The onet who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will revealt myself to him.”
22 “Lord,” Judas (not Judas Iscariot)ts said,t “what has happened that you are going to revealts yourself to us and not to the world?”23 Jesus replied,t “If anyone loves me, he will obeyt my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him.t

24 The person who does not love me does not obeyt my words. And the wordt you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 “I have spoken these things while stayingt with you.

26 But the Advocate,t the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach yout everything,t and will cause you to remember everythingt I said to you.
27 “Peace I leave with you;s my peace I give to you; I do not give itt to you as the world does.t Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.t28 You heard me say to you,t ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be gladt that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.s29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe.s30 I will not speak with you much longer,t for the ruler of this world is coming.s He has no power over me,t

31 but I am doing just what the Father commanded me, so that the world may knowt that I love the Father.t Get up, let us go from here.”s
