ยอห์น 14

1 " อย่าให้ใจของท่านทั้งหลายเป็นทุกข์ จงวางใจในพระเจ้า t และจงวางใจในเราด้วย2 ในนิเวศของพระบิดาของเรามีห้องมากมาย ถ้าไม่มีเราคงได้บอกพวกท่านแล้ว เรากำลังไปที่นั่นเพื่อเตรียมที่สำหรับพวกท่าน3 และเมื่อเราไปเตรียมที่สำหรับพวกท่าน เราจะกลับมารับพวกท่านไปอยู่กับเรา เพื่อว่าเราอยู่ที่ไหนพวกท่านก็จะได้อยู่ที่นั่นด้วย

4 พวกท่านรู้จักทางไปสู่ที่ซึ่งเรากำลังจะไป "
พระเยซูทรงเป็นทางไปสู่พระบิดา

5 โธมัสทูลว่า " พระองค์เจ้าข้า พวกข้าพระองค์ไม่รู้ว่าพระองค์จะเสด็จไปที่ไหน ดังนั้นพวกข้าพระองค์จะรู้จักทางนั้นได้อย่างไร ?"
6 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า " เราเป็นทางนั้น เป็นความจริง และเป็นชีวิต ไม่มีใครมาถึงพระบิดาได้นอกจากมาทางเรา

7 ถ้าพวกท่านรู้จักเราจริงๆ พวกท่านก็จะรู้จัก t พระบิดาของเราด้วย นับแต่นี้ไปพวกท่านก็รู้จักพระบิดาจริงๆ และได้เห็นพระองค์แล้ว "

8 ฟีลิปทูลว่า " พระองค์เจ้าข้า ขอทรงสำแดงพระบิดาแก่เหล่าข้าพระองค์และนั่นก็เพียงพอสำหรับข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายแล้ว "
9 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า " ฟีลิปเอ๋ย เราอยู่กับพวกท่านนานขนาดนี้แล้วท่านยังไม่รู้จักเราหรือ ? ผู้ที่ได้เห็นเราก็ได้เห็นพระบิดา เหตุใดท่านจึงบอกว่า ' ขอทรงสำแดงพระบิดาแก่เหล่าข้าพระองค์ '?10 พวกท่านไม่เชื่อหรือว่าเราอยู่ในพระบิดาและพระบิดาทรงอยู่ในเรา ? ถ้อยคำที่เรากล่าวกับพวกท่านนั้นไม่ได้เป็นเพียงถ้อยคำของเราเองแต่เป็นของพระบิดาผู้ทรงดำรงอยู่ในเราและทรงกระทำพระราชกิจของพระองค์11 เมื่อเรากล่าวว่าเราอยู่ในพระบิดาและพระบิดาทรงอยู่ในเรา ก็จงเชื่อเราเถิดหรืออย่างน้อยก็เชื่อเพราะสิ่งต่างๆ ที่เราทำ12 เราบอกความจริงแก่พวกท่านว่า ผู้ที่เชื่อในเราจะทำสิ่งที่เรากำลังทำอยู่ เขาจะทำแม้กระทั่งสิ่งที่ยิ่งใหญ่กว่านี้อีก เพราะเรากำลังจะไปหาพระบิดา13 และเราจะทำสิ่งใดๆ ที่พวกท่านขอในนามของเราเพื่อพระบุตรจะได้ถวายพระเกียรติสิริแด่พระบิดา

14 สิ่งใดที่พวกท่านขอจากเราในนามของเรา เราจะทำสิ่งนั้น
พระเยซูทรงสัญญาจะประทานพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์
15 " ถ้าพวกท่านรักเราพวกท่านจะเชื่อฟังสิ่งที่เราบัญชา16 และเราจะทูลขอต่อพระบิดาและพระองค์จะประทานที่ปรึกษาอีกองค์หนึ่งให้มาอยู่กับพวกท่านตลอดนิรันดร์17 คือองค์พระวิญญาณแห่งความจริง โลกไม่อาจรับพระองค์เพราะโลกไม่เห็นและไม่รู้จักพระองค์ แต่ท่านทั้งหลายรู้จักพระองค์เพราะพระองค์ทรงดำรงอยู่กับพวกท่านและจะอยู่ t ในพวกท่าน18 เราจะไม่ทิ้งพวกท่านให้เป็นลูกกำพร้า เราจะมาหาพวกท่าน19 อีกไม่นานนักโลกก็จะไม่ได้เห็นเราอีกแต่พวกท่านจะเห็นเรา เพราะเรามีชีวิตอยู่ท่านทั้งหลายก็จะมีชีวิตอยู่ด้วย20 ในวันนั้นพวกท่านจะตระหนักว่าเราอยู่ในพระบิดาของเราและพวกท่านอยู่ในเราและเราอยู่ในพวกท่าน

21 ผู้ใดที่ยึดถือและเชื่อฟังคำบัญชาของเรา ผู้นั้นก็คือผู้ที่รักเรา พระบิดาของเราจะทรงรักผู้ที่รักเราและเราเองก็จะรักเขาและจะสำแดงตัวเราเองแก่เขาด้วย "

22 แล้วยูดาส (ไม่ใช่ยูดาสอิสคาริโอท) ทูลว่า " พระองค์เจ้าข้า เหตุใดพระองค์จึงทรงเจตนาที่จะสำแดงพระองค์เองแก่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายแต่ไม่สำแดงแก่โลก ?"
23 พระเยซูตรัสตอบว่า " ถ้าผู้ใดรักเราเขาจะเชื่อฟังคำสอนของเรา พระบิดาของเราจะทรงรักเขา พระบิดากับเราจะมาหาเขาและอยู่กับเขา

24 ผู้ที่ไม่รักเราจะไม่เชื่อฟังคำสอนของเรา ถ้อยคำซึ่งพวกท่านได้ยินนี้ไม่ใช่คำของเราเองแต่เป็นของพระบิดาผู้ทรงส่งเรามา
25 " ทั้งหมดนี้เราได้กล่าวไว้ขณะที่เรายังอยู่กับพวกท่าน26 แต่องค์ที่ปรึกษาคือพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ซึ่งพระบิดาจะทรงส่งมาในนามของเราจะทรงสอนสิ่งทั้งปวงแก่พวกท่าน และจะให้พวกท่านระลึกถึงทุกสิ่งที่เราได้กล่าวกับพวกท่าน

27 เรามอบสันติสุขแก่พวกท่าน สันติสุขที่เราให้ไม่เหมือนที่โลกให้ อย่าให้ใจของท่านทุกข์ร้อนและอย่ากลัวเลย
28 " พวกท่านได้ยินเราพูดว่า ' เรากำลังจะจากไปและเรากำลังจะกลับมาหาพวกท่าน ' หากพวกท่านรักเรา พวกท่านก็จะดีใจที่เรากำลังไปหาพระบิดาเพราะพระบิดาทรงยิ่งใหญ่กว่าเรา29 เราบอกพวกท่านขณะนี้ก่อนที่สิ่งนั้นจะเกิดขึ้น เพื่อเมื่อเกิดขึ้นจริงๆ พวกท่านจะได้เชื่อ30 เราจะพูดกับพวกท่านได้อีกไม่นานเพราะผู้ครองโลกนี้กำลังจะมา เขาไม่อาจยับยั้งขัดขวางเราได้

31 แต่เขามาเพื่อโลกนี้จะได้เรียนรู้ว่าเรารักพระบิดาและทำสิ่งที่พระบิดาได้ทรงบัญชาเราไว้อย่างเคร่งครัด " ให้เราลุกขึ้นไปกันเถิด

JOHN 14

Jesus Is the Way //to the Father

1 Jesus said to his disciples, “Don't be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me.t 2 There are many rooms in my Father's house. I wouldn't tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. 3 After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.

4 You know the way to where I am going.”

5 Thomas said, “Lord, we don't even know where you are going! How can we know the way?”
6  t “I am the way, the truth, and the life!” Jesus answered. “Without me, no one can go to the Father.

7 If you had really known me, you would have known the Father. But from now on, you do know him, and you have seen him.”

8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father. That is all we need.”

9 Jesus replied:
Philip, I have been with you for a long time. Don't you know who I am? If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. How can you ask me to show you the Father?

10 Don't you believe that I am one with the Father and that the Father is one with me? What I say isn't said on my own. The Father who lives in me does these things.
11 Have faith in me when I say that the Father is one with me and that I am one with the Father. Or else have faith in me simply because of the things I do. 12 I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. 13 Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honor to the Father.

14 I will do whatever you ask me to do.

The Holy Spirit Is Promised

15  t Jesus said to his disciples:
If you love me, you will do as I command. 16 Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will helpt you and always be with you.

17 The Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, because they don't see or know him. But you know the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you.
18 I won't leave you like orphans. I will come back to you. 19 In a little while the people of this world won't be able to see me, but you will see me. And because I live, you will live. 20 Then you will know I am one with the Father. You will know you are one with me, and I am one with you.

21 t If you love me, you will do what I have said, and my Father will love you. I will also love you and show you what I am like.

22 The other Judas, not Judas Iscariot, t then spoke up and asked, “Lord, what do you mean by saying that you will show us what you are like, but you will not show the people of this world?”

23 Jesus replied:
If anyone loves me, they will obey me. Then my Father will love them, and we will come to them and live in them.

24 But anyone who doesn't love me, won't obey me. What they have heard me say doesn't really come from me, but from the Father who sent me.
25 I have told you these things while I am still with you.

26 But the Holy Spirit will come and helpt you, because the Father will send the Spirit to take my place. The Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of what I said while I was with you.

27 I give you peace, the kind of peace only I can give. It isn't like the peace this world can give. So don't be worried or afraid.

28 You have already heard me say I am going and I will also come back to you. If you really love me, you should be glad I am going back to the Father, because he is greater than I am.
29 I am telling you this before I leave, so when it does happen, you will have faith in me. 30 I cannot speak with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. But he has no power over me.

31 I obey my Father, so everyone in the world might know that I love him.
It is time for us to go now.
