JUAN 14

Si Jesus mao ang Dalan Ngadto sa Amahan

1  add Miingon si Jesus kanila, 2 Didto sa balay sa akong Amahan adunay daghang lawak. Mouna ako didto aron sa pag-andam ug lugar alang kaninyo. Dili ako mosulti niini kaninyo kon dili pa kini tinuod.3 Kon tua na ako didto ug makaandam na ug lugar alang kaninyo, mobalik ako aron kuhaon kamo, aron nga kon asa ako atua usab kamo.4 Ug mahibaloan ninyo ang dalan paingon sa lugar nga akong pagaadtoan."5 Miingon si Tomas kaniya,6 Mitubag si Jesus kaniya,

7 Kon nakaila kamo kanako, makaila usab kamo sa akong Amahan. Ug gani sukad karon nakaila ug nakakita na kamo kaniya."
8 Miingon si Felipe kaniya,9 Mitubag si Jesus,10 Unsa, wala ba ikaw motuo nga ako anaa sa Amahan ug ang Amahan ania kanako? Ang mga pulong nga akong ginasulti kaninyo dili gikan kanako. Ang Amahan nga ania kanako mao ang nagabuhat sa mga butang nga akong ginabuhat.11 Tuohi ninyo ako nga ako anaa sa Amahan ug ang Amahan ania kanako. Kon dili ninyo gustong tuohan ang akong ginasulti, tuohi na lang ninyo ako tungod sa akong mga binuhatan.12 Sa pagkatinuod, sultihan ko kamo nga ang nagatuo kanako magbuhat usab sa akong ginabuhat ug mas labaw pa gayod ang iyang buhaton, tungod kay mobalik na ako sa Amahan.

13-14  Buhaton ko ang bisan unsa nga inyong pangayoon kanako, aron mapasidunggan ang Amahan pinaagi kanako nga iyang Anak. Bisan unsa ang inyong hangyoon kanako pinaagi sa akong ngalan + 14:13-14 sa akong ngalan: tingali ang buot ipasabot, tungod kay kamo anaa kanako. buhaton ko kini."

Ang Espiritu Santo nga Gisaad ni Jesus

16-17  Ug pangayoon ko sa Amahan nga padad-an niya kamog laing Magdadasig. Kini nga Magdadasig walay lain kondili ang Espiritu Santo nga mao ang magtudlo kaninyo sa kamatuoran. Ug tungod kay ako buhi man, mabuhi usab kamo. + 14:19 tungod kay ako buhi man, mabuhi usab kamo: buot ipasabot, tungod kay ako may kinabuhi nga walay kataposan, kamo may kinabuhi usab nga walay kataposan.

20  Pag-abot nianang adlawa, + 14:20 nianang adlawa: buot ipasabot, ang iyang pagkabanhaw. masayran gayod ninyo nga ako anaa sa akong Amahan, ug kamo ania kanako, ug ako usab anaa kaninyo.
22 Unya gipangutana siya ni Judas (dili kini si Judas Iscariote),23 Mitubag si Jesus kaniya,

24  add Apan ang wala nagahigugma kanako wala nagatuman sa akong mga pulong. Kining mga pulonga nga inyong nadungog dili gikan kanako, kondili gikan sa Amahan nga nagpadala kanako.

26  Apan kon makagikan na ako, ang Magdadasig nga mao ang Espiritu Santo mao ang ipadala sa Amahan puli kanako. Siya ang magtudlo kaninyo sa tanan nga mga butang, ug magpahinumdom kaninyo sa tanan nga akong giingon kaninyo.
28 Nadungog ninyo ang akong giingon kaninyo nga mogikan ako apan mobalik ra ako kaninyo. Kon gihigugma ninyo ako, unta malipay kamo nga makaadto ako sa Amahan nga mas gamhanan pa kay kanako.29 Gisulti ko na kining daan kaninyo samtang wala pa mahitabo, aron nga kon mahitabo na molig-on pa gayod ang inyong pagtuo kanako.30  Dili na ako magdugay sa pagpakigsulti kaninyo, tungod kay taliabot na si Satanas nga mao ang nagagahom sa kalibotan. Wala siyay gahom kanako.31 Apan aron masayran sa tibuok kalibotan nga ginahigugma ko ang Amahan, ginasunod ko ang tanan nga iyang ginapabuhat kanako. Dali, manlakaw na kita."

Jesus’ Parting Words to His Disciples

1 “Do not let your hearts be distressed.s You believe in God;t believe also in me.2 There are many dwelling placest in my Father’s house.s Otherwise, I would have told you, becausests I am going away to make readyt a place for you.t3 And if I go and make readyt a place for you, I will come again and take yout to be with me,t so that where I am you may be too.

4 And you know the way where I am going.”ss
5 Thomas said,t “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?”6 Jesus replied,t “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.t No one comes to the Father except through me.

7 If you have known me, you will know my Father too.s And from now on you do know him and have seen him.”
8 Philip said,t “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be content.”t9 Jesus replied,t “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not knownt me, Philip? The person who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me?t The words that I say to you, I do not speak on my own initiative,t but the Father residing in me performst his miraculous deeds.ts11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me, but if you do not believe me,t believe because of the miraculous deedsts themselves.12 I tell you the solemn truth,t the person who believes in me will performt the miraculous deedst that I am doing,ts and will performt greater deedsts than these, because I am going to the Father.13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name,t so that the Father may be glorifiedt in the Son.

14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Teaching on the Holy Spirit

15 “If you love me, you will obeyt my commandments.s16 Thent I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocatet to be with you forever –

17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept,t because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he residest with you and will bes in you.
18 “I will not abandont you as orphans,t I will come to you.s19 In a little whilet the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.20 You will know at that timets that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

21 The person who has my commandments and obeyst them is the one who loves me.t The onet who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will revealt myself to him.”
22 “Lord,” Judas (not Judas Iscariot)ts said,t “what has happened that you are going to revealts yourself to us and not to the world?”23 Jesus replied,t “If anyone loves me, he will obeyt my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and take up residence with him.t

24 The person who does not love me does not obeyt my words. And the wordt you hear is not mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 “I have spoken these things while stayingt with you.

26 But the Advocate,t the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach yout everything,t and will cause you to remember everythingt I said to you.
27 “Peace I leave with you;s my peace I give to you; I do not give itt to you as the world does.t Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.t28 You heard me say to you,t ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be gladt that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.s29 I have told you now before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe.s30 I will not speak with you much longer,t for the ruler of this world is coming.s He has no power over me,t

31 but I am doing just what the Father commanded me, so that the world may knowt that I love the Father.t Get up, let us go from here.”s
