Евангелие от Иоанна 16

1 Сия глаголах вам, да не соблазнитеся.2 От сонмищ ижденут вы: но приидет час, да всяк, иже убиет вы, возмнится службу приносити Богу:3 и сия сотворят, яко не познаша Отца, ни мене.4 Но сия глаголах вам, да, егда приидет час, воспомянете сия, яко аз рех вам: сих же вам исперва не рех, яко с вами бех.5 Ныне же иду к пославшему мя, и никтоже от вас вопрошает мене: камо идеши?6 Но яко сия глаголах вам, скорби исполних сердца ваша.7 Но аз истину вам глаголю: уне есть вам, да аз иду: аще бо не иду аз, утешитель не приидет к вам: аще (ли) же иду, послю его к вам,8 и пришед он обличит мир о гресе и о правде и о суде:9 о гресе убо, яко не веруют в мя:10 о правде же, яко ко Отцу моему иду, и ктому не видите мене:11 о суде же, яко князь мира сего осужден бысть.12 Еще много имам глаголати вам, но не можете носити ныне:13 егда же приидет он, Дух истины, наставит вы на всяку истину: не от себе бо глаголати имать, но елика аще услышит, глаголати имать, и грядущая возвестит вам:14 он мя прославит, яко от моего приимет и возвестит вам.15 Вся, елика имать Отец, моя суть: сего ради рех, яко от моего приимет и возвестит вам.16 Вмале, и (ктому) не видите мене: и паки вмале, и узрите мя, яко иду ко Отцу.17 Реша же от ученик его к себе: что есть сие, еже глаголет нам: вмале, и не видите мене: и паки вмале, и узрите мя: и: яко аз иду ко Отцу?18 Глаголаху убо: что сие есть, еже глаголет: вмале? не вемы, что глаголет.19 Разуме же Иисус, яко хотяху его вопрошати, и рече им: о сем ли стязаетеся между собою, яко рех: вмале, и не видите мене: и паки вмале, и узрите мя?20 аминь, аминь глаголю вам, яко восплачетеся и возрыдаете вы, а мир возрадуется: вы же печальни будете, но печаль ваша в радость будет:21 жена егда раждает, скорбь имать, яко прииде год ея: егда же родит отроча, ктому не помнит скорби за радость, яко родися человек в мир:22 и вы же печаль имате убо ныне: паки же узрю вы, и возрадуется сердце ваше, и радости вашея никтоже возмет от вас:23 и в той день мене не воспросите ничесоже. Аминь, аминь глаголю вам, яко елика аще (чесо) просите от Отца во имя мое, даст вам:24 доселе не просисте ничесоже во имя мое: просите, и приимете, да радость ваша исполнена будет.25 Сия в притчах глаголах вам: но приидет час, егда ктому в притчах не глаголю вам, но яве о Отце возвещу вам.26 В той день во имя мое воспросите, и не глаголю вам, яко аз умолю Отца о вас:27 сам бо Отец любит вы, яко вы мене возлюбисте и веровасте, яко аз от Бога изыдох.28 Изыдох от Отца и приидох в мир: (и) паки оставляю мир и иду ко Отцу.29 Глаголаша ему ученицы его: се, ныне не обинуяся глаголеши, а притчи ни коеяже не глаголеши:30 ныне вемы, яко веси вся и не требуеши, да кто тя вопрошает: о сем веруем, яко от Бога изшел еси.31 Отвеща им Иисус: ныне ли веруете?32 се, грядет час, и ныне прииде, да разыдетеся кийждо во своя и мене единаго оставите: и несмь един, яко Отец со мною есть:33 сия глаголах вам, да во мне мир имате: в мире скорбни будете: но дерзайте, (яко) аз победих мир.

John 16

1 “I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.ts2 They will put you out oft the synagogue,s yet a timet is coming when the one who kills you will think he is offering service to God.s3 Theyt will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.s

4 But I have told you these thingst so that when their timet comes, you will remember that I told you about them.t
“I did not tell you these things from the beginning because I was with you.s5 But now I am going to the one who sent me,s and not one of you is asking me, ‘Where are you going?’s6 Instead your hearts are filled with sadnesst because I have said these things to you.7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the Advocatet will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.8 And when het comes, he will prove the world wrongt concerning sin andt righteousness andt judgment –9 concerning sin, becauset they do not believe in me;s10 concerning righteousness,t becauset I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer;

11 and concerning judgment,s becauset the ruler of this worlds has been condemned.t
12 “I have many more things to say to you,s but you cannot beart them now.13 But when he,t the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guidet you into all truth.s For he will not speak on his own authority,t but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell yout what is to come.t14 Het will glorify me,t because he will receivet from me what is minet and will tell it to you.t15 Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said the Spiritt will receive from me what is minet and will tell it to you.t

16 In a little while yout will see me no longer; again after a little while, yout will see me.”s
17 Then some of his disciples said to one another, “What is the meaning of what he is saying,t ‘In a little while yout will not see me; again after a little while, yout will see me,’ and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”s

18 So they kept on repeating,t “What is the meaning of what he says,t ‘In a little while’?t We do not understandt what he is talking about.”t
19 Jesus could seets that they wanted to ask him about these things,t sot he said to them, “Are you askingt each other about this – that I said, ‘In a little while yout will not see me; again after a little while, yout will see me’?20 I tell you the solemn truth,t you will weept and wail,t but the world will rejoice; you will be sad,t but your sadness will turn intot joy.21 When a woman gives birth, she has distresss because her timet has come, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the suffering because of her joy that a human beingt has been born into the world.s22 So also you have sorrowt now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.s23 At that timet you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth,t whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.s

24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it,t so that your joy may be complete.
25 “I have told you these things in obscure figures of speech;t a timet is coming when I will no longer speak to you in obscure figures, but will tell yout plainlyt about the Father.26 At that timet you will ask in my name, and I do not sayt that I will ask the Father on your behalf.27 For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.s

28 I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn,t I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”s
29 His disciples said, “Look, now you are speaking plainlyt and not in obscure figures of speech!ts

30 Now we know that you know everythingt and do not need anyonet to ask you anything.t Because of thist we believe that you have come from God.”
31 Jesus replied,t “Do you now believe?32 Look, a timet is coming – and has come – when you will be scattered, each one to his own home,t and I will be left alone.s Yett I am not alone, because my Fathert is with me.

33 I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering,t but take couraget – I have conquered the world.”ts
