ยอห์น 16
1 “เราบอกสิ่งเหล่านี้กับพวกท่านก็เพื่อไม่ให้ท่านท้อถอย 2 เขาทั้งหลายจะไล่ท่านออกจากธรรมศาลา อันที่จริงวันนั้นจะมาถึง เมื่อทุกคนที่ประหารชีวิตของพวกท่านจะคิดว่าเขากำลังปรนนิบัติพระเจ้า 3 เขาจะทำอย่างนั้นเพราะไม่รู้จักพระบิดาและไม่รู้จักเรา 4 แต่เหตุที่เราบอกสิ่งเหล่านี้ให้ท่านฟังก็เพื่อว่าเมื่อถึงเวลาของพวกเขา ท่านจะได้ระลึกว่าเราบอกท่านไว้แล้ว
พระราชกิจของพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์
“เราไม่ได้บอกเรื่องนี้กับพวกท่านแต่แรก เพราะว่าเรายังอยู่กับท่าน 5 แต่ตอนนี้เรากำลังจะไปหาผู้ทรงใช้เรามา และไม่มีใครในพวกท่านถามเราว่า ‘จะไปที่ไหน?’ 6 แต่เพราะเราบอกเรื่องนี้กับพวกท่าน จิตใจของท่านจึงมีแต่ความทุกข์ 7 อย่างไรก็ตามเราจะบอกความจริงกับพวกท่าน คือการที่เราจากไปนั้นก็เพื่อประโยชน์ของท่าน เพราะถ้าเราไม่ไป องค์ผู้ช่วยก็จะไม่เสด็จมาหาพวกท่าน แต่ถ้าเราไปแล้ว เราก็จะใช้พระองค์มาหาท่าน 8 เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จมาแล้ว พระองค์จะทรงทำให้โลกรู้แจ้งในเรื่องความบาป ความชอบธรรม และการพิพากษา 9 ในเรื่องความบาปนั้น คือเพราะพวกเขาไม่วางใจในเรา 10 ในเรื่องความชอบธรรมนั้น คือเพราะเราไปหาพระบิดา และพวกท่านจะไม่เห็นเราอีก 11 ในเรื่องการพิพากษานั้น คือเพราะผู้ครองโลกนี้ถูกพิพากษาแล้ว
12 “เรายังมีอีกหลายสิ่งที่จะบอกกับพวกท่าน แต่ตอนนี้ท่านยังรับไม่ไหว 13 เมื่อพระวิญญาณแห่งความจริงเสด็จมาแล้ว พระองค์จะนำพวกท่านไปสู่ความจริงทั้งมวล เพราะพระองค์จะไม่ตรัสโดยพลการ แต่พระองค์จะตรัสสิ่งที่พระองค์ทรงได้ยิน และพระองค์จะทรงแจ้งแก่พวกท่านถึงสิ่งต่างๆ ที่จะเกิดขึ้น 14 พระองค์จะทรงให้เราได้รับเกียรติ เพราะว่าพระองค์จะทรงเอาสิ่งที่เป็นของเรามาแจ้งแก่พวกท่าน 15 ทุกสิ่งที่พระบิดาทรงมีนั้นเป็นของเรา เพราะเหตุนี้ เราจึงกล่าวว่า พระวิญญาณทรงเอาสิ่งที่เป็นของเรานั้นมาแจ้งแก่พวกท่าน
ความเศร้าโศกจะกลายเป็นความชื่นชมยินดี
16 “อีกหน่อยพวกท่านจะไม่เห็นเรา และต่อไปอีกหน่อย พวกท่านก็จะเห็นเรา” 17 สาวกของพระองค์บางคนพูดกันว่า “พระองค์หมายความว่าอะไรที่ตรัสกับเราว่า ‘อีกหน่อยพวกท่านจะไม่เห็นเรา และต่อไปอีกหน่อยพวกท่านก็จะเห็นเรา’ และ ‘เพราะเราไปถึงพระบิดา’ ” 18 พวกเขาพูดกันว่า “ ‘อีกหน่อย’ นั้นหมายความว่าอะไร? เราไม่ทราบว่า ‘อีกหน่อย’ ที่พระองค์ตรัสนั้น หมายความว่าอะไร” 19 พระเยซูทรงทราบว่าพวกเขาอยากทูลถามพระองค์ พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า “พวกท่านถามกันอยู่หรือว่าเราหมายความว่าอะไรที่พูดว่า ‘อีกหน่อยพวกท่านจะไม่เห็นเรา และต่อไปอีกหน่อยพวกท่านก็จะเห็นเรา?’ 20 เราบอกความจริงกับพวกท่านว่า ท่านจะร้องไห้และคร่ำครวญ แต่โลกจะชื่นชมยินดี พวกท่านจะเป็นทุกข์ แต่ความทุกข์ของท่านจะกลับกลายเป็นความชื่นชมยินดี 21 เมื่อผู้หญิงจะคลอดบุตร นางก็มีแต่ความทุกข์เพราะถึงกำหนด แต่เมื่อคลอดบุตรแล้ว นางก็ไม่คิดถึงความเจ็บปวดนั้นเลย เพราะมีความชื่นชมยินดีที่คนหนึ่งเกิดมาในโลก 22 ดังนั้นขณะนี้พวกท่านจึงมีความทุกข์ แต่เราจะมาหาท่านอีก และใจของท่านจะชื่นชมยินดี และจะไม่มีใครช่วงชิงความชื่นชมยินดีไปจากท่านได้ 23 ในวันนั้นพวกท่านจะไม่ถามอะไรเราอีก เราบอกความจริงกับพวกท่านว่า ถ้าท่านขอสิ่งใดจากพระบิดาในนามของเรา พระองค์จะประทานสิ่งนั้นแก่ท่าน 24 จนบัดนี้พวกท่านก็ยังไม่ได้ขอสิ่งใดในนามของเรา จงขอเถิดแล้วจะได้ เพื่อความชื่นชมยินดีของท่านจะมีเต็มเปี่ยม
“เราชนะโลกแล้ว”
25 “เราพูดเรื่องนี้กับพวกท่านโดยใช้เรื่องเปรียบเทียบ วันนั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อเราจะไม่พูดกับท่านโดยใช้เรื่องเปรียบเทียบอีก แต่จะบอกท่านถึงเรื่องพระบิดาอย่างแจ่มแจ้ง 26 ในวันนั้นพวกท่านจะทูลขอในนามของเรา และเราจะไม่บอกท่านว่าเราจะอ้อนวอนพระบิดาเพื่อท่าน 27 เพราะว่าพระบิดาเองก็ทรงรักพวกท่าน เพราะท่านรักเราและเชื่อว่าเรามาจากพระเจ้าt 28 เรามาจากพระบิดาและเข้ามาในโลกแล้ว เราจะจากโลกนี้ไปหาพระบิดาอีก”
29 พวกสาวกของพระองค์ทูลว่า “ตอนนี้พระองค์ตรัสอย่างแจ่มแจ้ง ไม่ได้ตรัสโดยใช้เรื่องเปรียบเทียบ 30 ตอนนี้พวกข้าพระองค์รู้แล้วว่าพระองค์ทรงทราบทุกสิ่ง และไม่จำเป็นที่ใครจะทูลถามพระองค์อีก เพราะเหตุนี้พวกข้าพระองค์จึงเชื่อว่าพระองค์ทรงมาจากพระเจ้า” 31 พระเยซูตรัสตอบพวกเขาว่า “ตอนนี้พวกท่านเชื่อแล้วหรือ? 32 นี่แน่ะ วันนั้นจะมา และเวลานั้นก็มาถึงแล้ว ที่พวกท่านจะต้องกระจัดกระจายไปยังที่อยู่ของท่านแต่ละคนและจะทิ้งเราไว้คนเดียว แต่เราไม่ได้อยู่คนเดียว เพราะพระบิดาสถิตอยู่กับเรา 33 เราบอกเรื่องนี้กับพวกท่าน เพื่อท่านจะได้มีสันติสุขในเรา ในโลกนี้ท่านจะประสบความทุกข์ยาก แต่จงมีใจกล้าเถิด เพราะว่าเราชนะโลกแล้ว”
John 16
1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be caused to stumble.2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.3 And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me.4 But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.5 But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?6 But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.8 And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:9 of sin, because they believe not on me;10 of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;11 of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.14 He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare it unto you.15 All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare it unto you.16 A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.17 Some of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? We know not what he saith.19 Jesus perceived that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye shall see me?20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.22 And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.23 And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, if ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.25 These things have I spoken unto you in dark sayings: the hour cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in dark sayings, but shall tell you plainly of the Father.26 In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you;27 for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.28 I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.29 His disciples say, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no dark saying.30 Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
