3 ที่_พวก_เขา_ทำ_อย่าง_นี้ ก็_เพราะ_พวก_เขา_ไม่_รู้จัก_พระบิดา_และ_ไม่_รู้จัก_เรา

4 เรา_บอก_เรื่อง_เหล่า_นี้_กับ_พวก_คุณ_ตอน_นี้ เพื่อ_ที่_ว่า_เมื่อ_มัน_เกิด_ขึ้น_จริง พวก_คุณ_จะ_ได้_นึก_ออก_ว่า_เรา_เคย_เตือน_พวก_คุณ_แล้ว”

5 ตอน_นี้_เรา_กำลัง_จะ_ไปหา_พระองค์_ผู้ที่_ส่ง_เรา_มา แต่_ไม่_มี_ใคร_ถาม_เรา_ว่า ‘อาจารย์_จะ_ไป_ไหน’

6 เพราะ_คุณ_กำลัง_กลุ้ม_ใจ_ใน_เรื่อง_ที่_เรา_บอก

7 แต่_เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า มัน_จะ_ดี_กับ_คุณ_ถ้า_เรา_ไป เพราะ_ถ้า_เรา_ไม่_ไป ผู้ช่วย_พระองค์_นั้น_ก็_จะ_ไม่_มา แต่_ถ้า_เรา_ไป เรา_ก็_จะ_ส่ง_ผู้ช่วย_มา_ให้_คุณ

8 เมื่อ_ผู้ช่วย_นั้น_มา พระองค์_จะ_ทำ_ให้_โลก_รู้_ความ_จริง_เกี่ยว_กับ_ความ_บาป ให้_โลก_รู้_ว่า_ที่_เรา_พูด_และ_ทำ_นั้น_ถูกต้อง และ_ให้_โลก_รู้_ว่า_พระเจ้า_จะ_ตัดสิน_ลงโทษ_โลก

9 ใน_เรื่อง_ความ_บาป_นั้น_เกิด_จาก_คน_ไม่_ยอม_ไว้วางใจ_เรา

10 ใน_เรื่อง_ความ_ถูกต้อง_ของ_เรา_กับ_พระเจ้า_นั้น_ก็_คือ_การ_ที่_เรา_ได้_กลับ_ไปหา_พระบิดา_อีก_ครั้ง_หนึ่ง จึง_ทำ_ให้_พวก_คุณ_ไม่_เห็น_เรา_อีก

11 ใน_เรื่อง_การ_ตัดสิน_ลงโทษ_นั้น_ก็_คือ_การ_ที่_เจ้า_ผู้_ครอบ_ครอง_โลกt นี้_ได้_ถูก_ตัดสิน_ลงโทษ_แล้ว

12 เรา_ยัง_มี_อีก_หลาย_เรื่อง_ที่_จะ_บอก แต่_ถ้า_พูด_เดี๋ยว_นี้_มัน_จะ_มาก_เกิน_กว่า_ที่_พวก_คุณ_จะ_รับ_ได้

13 แต่_เมื่อ_พระ_วิญญาณ_แห่ง_ความ_จริง_มา_ถึง พระองค์_จะ_นำ_พวก_คุณ_ไป_สู่_ความ_จริง_ทั้ง_หมด เพราะ_พระองค์_ไม่_ได้_พูด_ตามใจ_ตัวเอง แต่_จะ_พูด_ใน_สิ่ง_ที่_พระองค์_ได้_ยิน_มา และ_พระองค์_จะ_บอก_ให้_พวก_คุณ_รู้_ว่า_อะไร_กำลัง_จะ_เกิด_ขึ้น

14 พระองค์_จะ_ทำ_ให้_คุณ_เห็น_ความ_ยิ่ง_ใหญ่_ของ_เรา เพราะ_พระองค์_จะ_บอก_สิ่ง_ที่_พระองค์_ได้_ยิน_จาก_เรา ให้_คุณ_ฟัง

15 ทุก_สิ่ง_ทุก_อย่าง_ที่_เป็น_ของ_พระบิดา_เป็น_ของ_เรา นั่น_เป็น_สาเหตุ_ที่_เรา_พูด_ว่า ผู้ช่วย_จะ_บอก_สิ่ง_ที่_พระองค์_ได้_ยิน_จาก_เรา_ให้_คุณ_ฟัง

ความ_เศร้า_จะ_เปลี่ยน_เป็น_ความ_สุข

16 “อีก_ประเดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง_พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ไม่_เห็น_เรา_แล้ว และ_หลัง_จาก_นั้น_อีก_ประเดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง_พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_เห็น_เรา_อีก”

17 พวก_ศิษย์_บางคน_ถาม_กัน_เอง_ว่า “อาจารย์_หมาย_ถึง_อะไร_ที่_พูด_ว่า ‘อีก_ประเดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง_พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ไม่_เห็น_เรา_แล้ว และ_หลัง_จาก_นั้น_อีก_ประเดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง_พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_เห็น_เรา_อีก’ กับ_ที่_ว่า ‘เรา_กำลัง_จะ_ไป_หา_พระบิดา’”

18 พวก_เขา_ก็_ยัง_ถาม_กัน_อีก_ว่า “อาจารย์_หมาย_ถึง_อะไร_ที่_พูด_ว่า ‘อีก_ประ_เดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง’ ไม่_เห็น_รู้_เรื่อง_เลย_ว่า_อาจารย์_พูด_ถึง_อะไร”

19 พระ_เยซู_รู้_ว่า_พวก_เขา_อยาก_จะ_ถาม_เรื่อง_นี้ พระองค์_จึง_ถาม_ว่า “พวก_คุณ_กำลัง_สงสัย_กัน_อยู่_ใช่_ไหม_ว่า เรา_หมายถึง_อะไร_ที่_พูด_ว่า ‘อีก_ประเดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ไม่_เห็น_เรา_แล้ว และ_หลัง_จาก_นั้น_อีก_ประเดี๋ยว_หนึ่ง_พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_เห็น_เรา_อีก’

20 เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า คุณ_จะ_ร้องไห้ โศก_เศร้า_เสียใจ แต่_โลก_จะ_รื่นเริง_ยินดี คุณ_จะ_ทุกข์_ใจ แต่_ความ_ทุกข์_ใจ_นั้น_จะ_กลับ_กลาย_มา_เป็น_ความ_ดีใจ

21 เหมือน_กับ_ผู้หญิง_ที่_ถึง_กำหนด_คลอด_ก็_เป็น_ทุกข์_เพราะ_ความ_เจ็บ_ปวด_ทรมาน แต่_เมื่อ_เธอ_คลอด_ลูก_แล้ว_ก็_ลืม_ความ_เจ็บ_ปวด_ไป_หมด เพราะ_ดีใจ_ที่_ได้_เห็น_ลูก_เกิด_มา_ใน_โลก_นี้

22 พวก_คุณ_ก็_เหมือน_กัน ตอน_นี้_คุณ_ทุกข์_ใจ แต่_เมื่อ_เรา_กลับ_มาหา_พวก_คุณ_อีก พวก_คุณ_ก็_จะ_ดีใจ และ_ไม่_มี_ใคร_จะ_แย่ง_เอา_ความ_ดีใจ_นั้น_ไป_จาก_คุณ_ได้

23 ใน_วัน_นั้น_คุณ_จะ_ไม่_ต้อง_ถาม_อะไร_เรา_อีก_แล้ว เรา_จะ_บอก_ให้_รู้_ว่า_ทุก_สิ่ง_ทุก_อย่าง_ที่_คุณ_ขอ_เพราะ_คุณ_เป็น_คน_ของ_เรา พระบิดา_ก็_จะ_ให้_กับ_คุณ

24 ตั้ง_แต่_คุณ_เป็น_คน_ของ_เรา_มา_จน_ถึง_เดี๋ยว_นี้ พวก_คุณ_ยัง_ไม่_เคย_ขอ_อะไร_เลย_ใน_ฐานะ_คน_ของ_เรา ขอ_สิ_แล้ว_คุณ_จะ_ได้ เพื่อ_คุณ_จะ_ได้_มี_ความ_สุข_อย่าง_เต็มที่”

ชัย_ชนะ_เหนือ_โลก

25 “เรา_ได้_เล่า_เรื่อง_เหล่า_นี้_โดย_ใช้_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ อีก_ไม่_นาน_เรา_จะ_ไม่_ใช้_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_แล้ว แต่_เรา_จะ_บอก_พวก_คุณ_ตรงๆ_เลย_เกี่ยว_กับ_พระบิดา

26 ใน_วัน_นั้น_พวก_คุณ_จะ_ไม่_ต้อง_ขอ_อะไร_โดย_ผ่าน_ทาง_เรา_อีก_แล้ว คุณ_ขอ_จาก_พระเจ้า_ได้_โดย_ตรง_เลย เพราะ_คุณ_เป็น_คน_ของ_เรา

27 เพราะ_พระบิดา_เอง_ก็_รัก_พวก_คุณ พระองค์_รัก_พวก_คุณ_ทุก_คน_เพราะ_ว่า_พวก_คุณ_รัก_เรา และ_เชื่อ_ว่า_เรา_มา_จาก_พระเจ้า

28 เรา_มา_จาก_พระบิดา และ_เข้า_มา_ใน_โลก_นี้ ตอน_นี้_เรา_กำลัง_จะ_ไป_จาก_โลก_นี้ เพื่อ_กลับ_ไปหา_พระบิดา”

29 แล้ว_พวก_ศิษย์_ก็_พูด_ว่า “ดู_สิ อาจารย์_พูด_กับ_พวก_เรา_ตรงๆ_โดย_ไม่_ได้_ใช้_เรื่อง_เปรียบ_เทียบ_แล้ว

30 ตอน_นี้_พวก_เรา_รู้_แล้ว_ว่า_อาจารย์_รู้_ทุก_อย่าง อาจารย์_รู้_ว่า_จะ_ตอบ_อะไร_ก่อน_ที่_เรา_จะ_ถาม_เสีย_อีก ถึง_ไม่_ถาม_อาจารย์_ก็_รู้_อยู่_แล้ว_ว่า_เรา_คิด_อะไร แค่_นี้_เรา_ก็_เชื่อ_แล้ว_ว่า_อาจารย์_มา_จาก_พระเจ้า”

31 พระ_เยซู_ตอบ_พวก_เขา_ว่า “ใน_ที่_สุด_พวก_คุณ_ก็_เชื่อ_แล้ว_หรือ

32 คอย_ดู_สิ_เวลา_กำลัง_จะ_มา_ถึง ที่_จริง_เวลา_มา_ถึง_แล้ว_ด้วย_ซ้ำ เป็น_เวลา_ที่_พวก_คุณ_ทุก_คน_จะ_หนี_กระเจิด_กระเจิง_ไป_ทาง_ใคร_ทาง_มัน และ_จะ_ทิ้ง_เรา_ไว้_คน_เดียว แต่_เรา_ไม่_ได้_อยู่_คน_เดียว_หรอก เพราะ_พระบิดา_อยู่_กับ_เรา_ด้วย

33 เรา_พูด_เรื่อง_พวก_นี้_เพื่อ_ว่า_คุณ_จะ_ได้_มี_สันติสุข_จาก_การ_ที่_มี_ส่วน_ใน_เรา ใน_โลก_นี้_คุณ_จะ_มี_ปัญหา_เดือด_ร้อน_สารพัด แต่_ให้_เข้มแข็ง_ไว้ เพราะ_เรา_ชนะ_โลก_แล้ว”

John 16

Jesus' Warning

1 "These things I have spoken to you so that you may be kept from stumbling.2 They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.3 These things they will do because they have not known the Father or Me.4 But these things I have spoken to you, so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. These things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

The Holy Spirit Promised

5 "But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?'6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me;10 and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me;11 and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

12 "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.13 But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.15 All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

Jesus' Death and Resurrection Foretold

16 "A little while, and you will no longer see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me."17  Some of His disciples then said to one another, "What is this thing He is telling us, 'A little while, and you will not see Me; and again a little while, and you will see Me'; and, 'because I go to the Father'?"18 So they were saying, "What is this that He says, 'A little while'? We do not know what He is talking about."19 Jesus knew that they wished to question Him, and He said to them, "Are you deliberating together about this, that I said, 'A little while, and you will not see Me, and again a little while, and you will see Me'?20 Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy.21 Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world.22 Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

Prayer Promises

23 In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.24 Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.

25 "These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly of the Father.26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf;27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father.28 I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; I am leaving the world again and going to the Father."

29 His disciples *said, "Lo, now You are speaking plainly and are not using a figure of speech.30 Now we know that You know all things, and have no need for anyone to question You; by this we believe that You came from God."31 Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe?32 Behold, an hour is coming, and has already come, for you to be scattered, each to his own home, and to leave Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.33 These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world."
