JOAN 16

1 «Hau guztia, zuen sinesmenak huts egin ez dezant esan dizuet. 2 Zeren eta judu-elkartetik bota egingo baitzaituztete; are gehiago, badator ordua, zuek hilko zaituztenak Jainkoari kultu ematen diola uste izango duena.t 3 Eta horrela jokatuko dute ez Aita, ez ni, ezagutu ez gaituztelako.t

4 Aurrez esaten dizuet, hori gertatzean esana nizuela gogora dezazuen.

Espirituaren jarduna

11 epaiari buruz, mundu honetako buruzagia jadanik gaitzetsia dagoelako.t
12 «Badut oraindik hamaika gauza esateko, baina oraingoz ez zarete gauza ondo ulertzeko.t 13 Baina egiaren Espiritua etortzean, egia beteraino gidatuko zaituzte. Ez da mintzatuko bere kabuz, baizik eta nik jakinaraziko diodana adierazi eta etorkizuna iragarriko dizue.t 14 Berak nire Jainko-aintza azalduko du, adieraziko dizuena niregandik hartuko baitu.

15 Aitak duen oro nirea da. Horregatik esan dizuet Espirituak niregandik hartuko duela adieraziko dizuena.t

Tristura poz bilakatuko

16 «Gutxi barru ez nauzue gehiago ikusiko, baina pixka bat geroago, berriro ikusiko nauzue».t
17 Orduan, ikasleetako batzuk honela ari ziren beren artean: «Zer ote da esaten digun hau: “Gutxi barru ez nauzue gehiago ikusiko, baina pixka bat geroago, berriro ikusiko nauzue” eta “Aitarengana noa”?

18 Zer esan nahi ote du “gutxi barru” horrekin? Ez diogu antzik ere ematen zertaz ari den».
19 Konturatu zen Jesus galdetu egin nahi ziotela, eta esan zien: «Eztabaidan ari zarete zeuen artean nire hitz hauen esanahiaz: “Gutxi barru ez nauzue gehiago ikusiko, baina pixka bat geroago, berriro ikusiko nauzue”. 20 Bene-benetan diotsuet: Negar egingo duzue eta aiene; mundua, ordea, poztu egingo da. Zuek triste egongo zarete, baina zuen tristura poz bilakatuko da. 21 Emakumea, erditzerakoan, triste egoten da, ordua heldu zaiolako; haurra jaio ondoren, ordea, ahaztu egiten da larrialdiaz, mundura gizon bat ekarri duelako.t

22 Zuek ere triste zaudete orain, baina berriro agertuko natzaizue, eta poztu egingo zarete, eta poz hori inork ez dizue kenduko.t
23 «Egun hartan ez duzue ezer galdetu beharrik izango. Bene-benetan diotsuet: Nire izenean Aitari eskatuko diozuen guztia eman egingo dizue.t

24 Oraindainokoan ez duzue ezer eskatu nire izenean. Eskatu eta hartuko duzue, zuen poza bete-betea izan dadin.t

Jesusek mundua garaitu

28 Aitarengandik irten eta mundura etorri nintzen; orain mundua utzi eta berriro Aitarengana noa».

29 Ikasleek esan zioten:
—Orain bai mintzo zarela argi, eta ez irudi bidez.

30 Ziur dakigu orain dena dakizula eta ez duzula inork galdetu beharrik; honengatik sinesten dugu Jainkoarengandik etorri zarela.

31 Jesusek erantzun zien:
—Orain sinesten duzuela? 32 Hara, badator ordua —hobeto esan, heldua da—, nor bere aldetik sakabanatu eta bakarrik utziko nauzuena. Baina ni ez nago bakarrik, nirekin baitago Aita.t 33 Hau guztia, nirekin elkarturik bakea izan dezazuen esan dizuet. Munduan larrialdirik izango duzue; baina izan adore! Nik garaitua dut mundua.t

John 16

1 “I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.ts2 They will put you out oft the synagogue,s yet a timet is coming when the one who kills you will think he is offering service to God.s3 Theyt will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.s

4 But I have told you these thingst so that when their timet comes, you will remember that I told you about them.t
“I did not tell you these things from the beginning because I was with you.s5 But now I am going to the one who sent me,s and not one of you is asking me, ‘Where are you going?’s6 Instead your hearts are filled with sadnesst because I have said these things to you.7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the Advocatet will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.8 And when het comes, he will prove the world wrongt concerning sin andt righteousness andt judgment –9 concerning sin, becauset they do not believe in me;s10 concerning righteousness,t becauset I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer;

11 and concerning judgment,s becauset the ruler of this worlds has been condemned.t
12 “I have many more things to say to you,s but you cannot beart them now.13 But when he,t the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guidet you into all truth.s For he will not speak on his own authority,t but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell yout what is to come.t14 Het will glorify me,t because he will receivet from me what is minet and will tell it to you.t15 Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said the Spiritt will receive from me what is minet and will tell it to you.t

16 In a little while yout will see me no longer; again after a little while, yout will see me.”s
17 Then some of his disciples said to one another, “What is the meaning of what he is saying,t ‘In a little while yout will not see me; again after a little while, yout will see me,’ and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”s

18 So they kept on repeating,t “What is the meaning of what he says,t ‘In a little while’?t We do not understandt what he is talking about.”t
19 Jesus could seets that they wanted to ask him about these things,t sot he said to them, “Are you askingt each other about this – that I said, ‘In a little while yout will not see me; again after a little while, yout will see me’?20 I tell you the solemn truth,t you will weept and wail,t but the world will rejoice; you will be sad,t but your sadness will turn intot joy.21 When a woman gives birth, she has distresss because her timet has come, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the suffering because of her joy that a human beingt has been born into the world.s22 So also you have sorrowt now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.s23 At that timet you will ask me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth,t whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you.s

24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive it,t so that your joy may be complete.
25 “I have told you these things in obscure figures of speech;t a timet is coming when I will no longer speak to you in obscure figures, but will tell yout plainlyt about the Father.26 At that timet you will ask in my name, and I do not sayt that I will ask the Father on your behalf.27 For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.s

28 I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn,t I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”s
29 His disciples said, “Look, now you are speaking plainlyt and not in obscure figures of speech!ts

30 Now we know that you know everythingt and do not need anyonet to ask you anything.t Because of thist we believe that you have come from God.”
31 Jesus replied,t “Do you now believe?32 Look, a timet is coming – and has come – when you will be scattered, each one to his own home,t and I will be left alone.s Yett I am not alone, because my Fathert is with me.

33 I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble and suffering,t but take couraget – I have conquered the world.”ts
