Johannes 16
1 So rede ich zu euch, damit ihr später keinen Anstoß nehmt.2 Man wird euch in den Bannt tun. Ja die Stunde kommt, wo jeder, der euch tötet, damit Gott ein Opfer darzubringen glaubt.t3 So wird man gegen euch verfahren, weil man nicht den Vater kennt noch mich.4 Aber ich rede so zu euch, damit, wenn nun die Stunde kommt, wo sich's erfüllt, ihr daran denkt, daß ich es euch gesagt. Hierüber habe ich anfangs nicht zu euch gesprochen, weil ich ja bei euch war.t5 Nun aber gehe ich zu dem, der mich gesandt hat, und keiner von euch fragt mich: 'Wohin gehst du?'t6 Doch weil ich so zu euch geredet habe, ist euer Herz voll Traurigkeit.7 Aber es ist volle Wahrheit, wenn ich euch jetzt sage: es dient zu euerm Heil, daß ich weggehe. Denn gehe ich nicht weg, so kommt der Helfer nicht zu euch. Wenn ich aber gehe, will ich ihn zu euch senden.8 Und wenn er kommt, wird er der Welt Klarheit geben, wie sich's verhält mit Sünde, mit Gerechtigkeit und mit Gericht.9 Die Sünde kommt ans Licht, weil sie nicht an mich glauben;10 die Gerechtigkeit, weil ich zu meinem Vater gehe und ihr mich dann nicht länger seht;t11 das Gericht, weil der Beherrscher dieser Welt verurteilt ist.t12 Ich hätte euch noch viel zu sagen; doch jetzt könnt ihr's nicht tragen.13 Wenn aber er, der Geist der Wahrheit, kommt, so wird er euch im Bereich der vollen Wahrheit Führer sein. Denn er wird nicht aus eigener Vollmacht reden; sondern was er hört, das wird er reden, und das Zukünftige wird er euch verkünden.14 Er wird mich verherrlichen; denn von dem Meinen wird er nehmen und es euch verkünden.15 Alles, was der Vater hat, ist mein. Darum sage ich: von dem Meinen nimmt er und wird's euch verkünden.16 Noch eine kleine Weile,t und ihr schaut mich nicht mehr; dann nochmals eine kleine Weile, und ihr sollt mich wiedersehen."t17 Da sprachen einige seiner Jünger zueinander: "Was mag er damit meinen, wenn er zu uns sagt: 'Noch eine kleine Weile, und ihr schaut mich nicht; dann nochmals eine kleine Weile, und ihr sollt mich wiedersehen', und weiter: 'Ich gehe hin zum Vater?'"18 "Was meint er nur", so sprachen sie, "mit diesem Ausdruck: 'eine kleine Weile'? Wir verstehen seine Worte nicht."19 Jesus merkte, daß sie ihn fragen wollten, und er sprach zu ihnen: "Redet ihr darüber miteinander, daß ich gesagt: 'Noch eine kleine Weile, und ihr schaut mich nicht; dann nochmals eine kleine Weile, und ihr sollt mich wiedersehen?'20 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Ihr werdet weinen und klagen,t die Welt aber wird sich freuen. Ihr werdet traurig sein, doch eure Traurigkeit soll sich in Freude wandeln.t21 Ist eine Frau in Kindesnöten, so hat sie Traurigkeit, denn ihre schwere Stunde ist gekommen. Hat sie aber das Kind geboren, so denkt sie nicht mehr an die Schmerzen, die sie durchgemacht: so groß ist ihre Freude, daß ein Mensch zur Welt gekommen ist.22 So sollt auch ihr jetzt Trauer haben.t Doch ich will euch wiedersehen; dann sollen eure Herzen voller Freude sein, und eure Freude soll euch niemand rauben.23 An jenem Tag werdet ihr mich nach nichts mehr fragen.t Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage euch: Wenn ihr den Vater um etwas bittet, so wird er's euch in meinem Nament geben.24 Bisher habt ihr noch nichts in meinem Namen erbeten. Bittet, und ihr sollt empfangen, damit eure Freude vollkommen sei!25 So rede ich zu euch in Bildern.t Doch die Stunde kommt, wo ich nicht mehr in Bildern zu euch rede, sondern euch klar und deutlich von dem Vater Kunde gebe.26 An jenem Tag werdet ihr in meinem Namen bitten. Ich sage euch nicht, daß ich den Vater für euch bitten werde.27 Denn der Vater hat euch aus eigenem Antrieb lieb, weil ihr mich lieb gehabt und geglaubt habt, daß ich von Gott ausgegangen bin.28 Ich bin vom Vater ausgegangen und in die Welt gekommen. Jetzt verlasse ich die Welt und gehe hin zum Vater."29 Da sprachen seine Jünger: "Ja, nun redest du klar und deutlich und sprichst nicht mehr in Bildern.30 Nun ist uns sicher, daß du alles weißt und nicht erst gefragt zu werden brauchst.t Darum glauben wir, daß du von Gott ausgegangen bist."31 Jesus antwortete ihnen: "So? Ihr glaubt nun?32 Seht, es kommt die Stunde, ja sie ist schon da, wo ihr euch zerstreut, daß jeder seines Weges geht und ihr mich allein laßt. Aber ich bin nicht allein; denn der Vater ist bei mir.33 Ich habe alles diest zu euch geredet, damit ihr in mir Frieden habt. In der Welt habt ihr Trübsal; doch seid getrost: ich habe die Welt überwunden!"
John 16
1 These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be caused to stumble.2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you shall think that he offereth service unto God.3 And these things will they do, because they have not known the Father, nor me.4 But these things have I spoken unto you, that when their hour is come, ye may remember them, how that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.5 But now I go unto him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?6 But because I have spoken these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.8 And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:9 of sin, because they believe not on me;10 of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;11 of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.14 He shall glorify me: for he shall take of mine, and shall declare it unto you.15 All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall declare it unto you.16 A little while, and ye behold me no more; and again a little while, and ye shall see me.17 Some of his disciples therefore said one to another, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye behold me not; and again a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? We know not what he saith.19 Jesus perceived that they were desirous to ask him, and he said unto them, Do ye inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, A little while, and ye behold me not, and again a little while, and ye shall see me?20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but when she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for the joy that a man is born into the world.22 And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.23 And in that day ye shall ask me no question. Verily, verily, I say unto you, if ye shall ask anything of the Father, he will give it you in my name.24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.25 These things have I spoken unto you in dark sayings: the hour cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in dark sayings, but shall tell you plainly of the Father.26 In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you;27 for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from the Father.28 I came out from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go unto the Father.29 His disciples say, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no dark saying.30 Now know we that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe?32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
